This small hotel was exactly as described. It was a 5 min walk to the High Street Kensington Tube (& bus stop) & a 15 min walk to Earl's Court Tube that connects directly to Heathrow terminals 2-5. The room was clean, and it did have a small fridge, electric kettle, coffee maker (pods), & microwave (though it may be hard to access if you are short; I am 5'8" and could just reach to set items in the center of the turntable). The TV appeared to have content available from several streaming services, though we only turned it on one evening and are not the most TV-savvy. The bathroom was small & clean with decent water pressure & no lack of hot water. I found the management responsive to messaging on the Booking.com app, and very forthright on what they could & could not accommodate. Oh, we had no car this trip and were glad. Parking would have been extremely difficult to find.

There is no lift, but the desk attendant took one of our suitcases up for us. We were on the 2nd floor (3rd if you're from the US) & there were some rooms on the half-floor landings (so fair amount of stairs). We stayed here all 8 nights of our trip, so we only had to get luggage up & then down once (so not a big deal). There are floors above ours (2, I think), so those with limited mobility might want to request a lower floor.

My husband and I spent two nights here. The location is fantastic, with 10-15 minute walks to two Tube stations and easy connections. There are lots of great restaurants in the area, including great places for breakfast. And of course all the shops on High Street Kensington. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we were pleased and surprised by the refrigerator and microwave. We also put the coffee maker and tea kettle to good use. Finally, it had one of the best A/C systems of any hotel I've stayed in -- quiet and responsive. The hotel is on a quiet street, with very little noise, a definite plus in busy London.

We were completely satisfied and would return. However, travelers need to know that this is an older building with steep, narrow stairs. We travel with smaller suitcases and did not have any trouble. But if you travel with large ones, you may find the stairs challenging.

Fantastic location, nice, clean rooms that even have a fridge, lovely staff (they accepted to store my rucksack both before check-in and after check-out, which was really nice of them). Great tea and coffee facilities with biscuits provided. The limited opening times of reception were not a problem for me even if you do have to keep it in mind, and I guess you get what you pay for – this hotel is really good value for the area.

A bigger sign at the door would have been a bonus, as I first walked past and had to check the street number to find the entrance.

The location was perfect. The underground is just on the same road which 2 minutes away. Also, there is multiple bus stops just near the hotel which can easily accessed. Kensington park just near the hotel which you can get there by walking and access hyde park through it. The room has variable facilities including: safe, iron, hair dryer, coffee machine.

The space of the room limited. For me, it was more than enough as a solo traveller but i am not sure how it will be for a couple. One important point to mention, that there is no reception from 9pm-9am so you have to chick in before 9pm and if you lost or forget your card after 9pm, you will be in trouble. I didn’t face same problem but it made me panic.

Customer services and receptionists were great especially the male receptionist Denesh and Melissa. Denesh went beyond and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, happy and looked after. Was really happy with the service, the room was a good price range and in close proximity of the train station etc. The receptionist deserves recognition, as he really cares about his customers and showed great curtesy to my partner and I. He is positive, vibrant and very helpful with great manners. In hotels comfort, feeling welcomed and appreciated by staff members with a positive approach and kindness go a long way!

There is nothing I did not like about the hotel, I thought it was great. Maybe just updating and renewing the doors for the bathroom so they were quite odd to open and close.

This was the second time we have stayed here and that speaks volumes. The location is super convenient for Kensington High Street, which is just a few minutes walk. The room we paid for is very small, but I believe they offer larger rooms. However it is very good value for money. A little tip is to pre book parking in the Copthorne Tara, which is also super convenient.

I would suggest a shelf in the bathroom for toiletries and hooks on the back of the bathroom door so you can hang up damp towels.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. But the room was clean and had everything you needed. The location was superb, 2-3 minutes walk from High Street Kensington tube station and 15 min walk to the Albert Hall for the concert we were attending. No frills or fuss a clean room with comfy bed and it was so quiet - hard to believe you were in London. Very friendly and helpful staff manning the desk. Will definitely use again next time we travel overnight to London.

The property was exactly how is advertised on booking.com. Nothing less. Clean room, nice room, no damages, well maintained. Cute balcony. It is located in an amazing area, the entire neighborhood is gorgeous. The option of leaving the e bags on the last day to not cary them around the city, is extremely thoughtful, much appreciated cor this type of properties, many do not offer this.

The other guests were very loud and noisy. On the floor above, a lot of noise similar to moving furniture, not couple activities noise, actually moving furniture. I’m not sure how the staff can influence this, but it is worth mentioning. When you want to rest after a long day of sightseeing, all this noise is not very helpful. Also, was quite cold in the room, the temperature did not reach 20 degrees, and, while for other people this is ok, for me it wasn’t and I did not have the option of increasing the temperature.

There is no better option in Kensington! Since 5 years I've explored most of hotels in the area and CG Kensington is definitely the best choice. One could complain there is no breakfast, or no noise isolation => try to find better hotel in Kensington, or the nearest area which would offer those services in the same overall rating and the same price level. We were in CG Kensington hotel with my wife 3 times already and I'm sure we'll be there few more times for sure!

would be great to have an option to grab a breakfast (any sets out of bistros located in the area would not cause any complications to the hotel and for sure would be appreciated by lazy guest like me... possibly could bring some more income to the Hotel :) no option to check in after 9pm could be improved - I'm sure there are dozens of online systems to enable remote check in for those who have delayed flights, or any other unexpected things going on on the journey...

Unbelievably good value, an excellent room - very spacious. Staff on reception were really friendly and efficient. Excellent facilities - kettle, coffee machine, ironing board, iron. Shall definitely return.

The heating. No central heating, only a unit that is a combination aircon/heating unit. All very well, but I couldn't work out how to turn it on! At a chilly time of year, maybe some instructions near the control would be helpful? Also - VAST room, great facilities - but if you have an iron and ironing board, a full-length mirror would be REALLY helpful! There was plenty of wall-space for it.
