I could have quite happily stayed for longer at the White Lion. We had a large room with a comfortable bed, tastefully decorated and furnished. Plenty of storage for a longer stay. Nice quality shower products and top quality tea/coffee was a bonus. We ate in the restaurant which was excellent. Friendly helpful attentive staff looked after us well. Good selection of beer, most important if you are real ale fans. The breakfast was excellent also. Gardens are well maintained and pleasant, with a large classic marquee.

Breakfast was excellent, generous helpings and served quickly with a smile. Dinner was also high quality and service was exceptional. One member even offered us a ride when taxis were not available.

Our room was located above the bar area. There was very loud live music which played long after its time and could be heard and felt till midnight.

It is a very cozy hotel with very friendly staff, the bed was very comfortable, not too modern but everything was clean. food in the restaurant was excellent and well presented.

A little noisey, you could hear other people in thier rooms and doors opening and closing but it was a pub/hotel so you have to accept this sometimes.

Friendly staff warm welcome. Great comfy room. Lovely fluffy towels . Fantastic food and a great range of beers.

Shower in bath was a little awkward as had to hold up shower head as bracket didn't lock in position. Also could of done with a shower mat in bath. Unable to find code for Wi-fi connection in room. Breakfast serving was from 8.30am which is too late for business users.

Room was lovely, perfectly clean, some toiletries provided and very spacious. Ensuite bathroom was much larger than expected and again very clean. Every member of staff i spoke to was friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and slept really well. Room did get quite warm as was above the kitchen but a fan was provided in the room so wasn't an issue at all for me.

Nothing I didn't like, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We adore the Wheatacre White Lion. We've stayed several times and it never disappoints. Jay's team work so hard and they're a great credit to him. The atmosphere is so laid back but everything works like a swiss watch. We particularly love the menu; we had sea trout which was absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely quiet location situated approx. 2.5 miles from Waveney River Centre ( Angles Way) . Good atmosphere within the pub and excellent food. Good choice and quality products. Staff really friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Mattress not firm enough and would have liked some water provided in the room. Late start for breakfast.

A great place to stay when visiting Norfolk. The rooms are very well appointed, in great condition, and extremely tidy. Breakfast was served every morning, prepared to our liking. Every staff member was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Rooms were a bit warm at night.

Very clean, properly dark at night which helped me sleep, comfy bed, friendly staff. Bedroom doors closed with a mortice lock which made me feel safe as I was by myself. The room was warm.

Doors were banging until late into the night which made me jump. It wasn’t a problem for me, but the standard double room is very long and thin and the bed is up against the wall so if there are two of you maybe consider an upgrade which is only a little more.
