This place is for anyone who wants to get away. Having a beach to yourself where you lie under the palm trees and enter full recharge mode comes at a high premium almost anywhere. Here you get that luxury at a discount rate. The rooms are basic but contain all you need. If you get claustrophobic without WiFi you can connect via starlink for 5 pesos close by. They serve good food and cold beverages. The kids took surfing lessons, we took a boat ride to the nearby Mamon island but were able to time it so that all the boats from Siargao had left to go back. we had the beautiful white sand beach to ourselves, only to go back to Anajawan and kept on having their white sand beaches to ourselves. Visiting Anajawan for five days was the absolute highlight of our two week trip to the Philippines.

My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here! We booked the place as it seemed like a chill way to cap off our Siargao trip - one of the best decisions ever. The simple and self-sustaining way of living in Anajawan is just amazing. I’m running out of positive words for David and his family - they are one of the best hosts I ever encountered. The kids took us to the other side of the island to catch the picturesque sunset the island offers. We got to work out at the best gym ever. David and his wife cook the best meals with the ingredients they grow on their own; the kids are also helpful as we see them prepare and serve the food and drinks. The sea, with its beautiful corals and plenty fishes, waved right in front of us waiting for us. David took us even farther out to catch a glimpse of the wonderful underwater forest. He even taught me how to swim and float, and saved my life couple of times! After swimming or walking around, you can just take a nap in any of the hammocks under the coconut trees. The experience was superb. The atmosphere was simply homey. Thank you soooo much again! Will definitely return to your wonderful home, Perry family ❤️

Fantastic location with great hosts. We enjoyed the peace and the calmness on Anajawan island. Beach right in front of you - can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Food is available upon request. It is freshly made. David can arrange for boats/trips/surfboards or any other things.

Nights can be very warm but fans are available. Electricity only for a couple hours a day but that did not bother us (just means that the fans don’t go all night).

The island is secluded (1 hour boat ride from Siargao) and paradisiacal. David and his family are wonderful hosts. Always available while respecting your privacy. He is very open to requests and involved in you having a good time. We didn't want for nothing in terms of food, drinks or activities in the 3 days we spent there. There are small waves you can surf. David provided snorkels, surf and paddle boards. There was electricity, water with good pressure and satellite internet 24/7. Do not expect luxury or variety. This is the only lodging and dining option in the island. The rooms and amenities are VERY basic with no kitchen but clean and comfortable.

Nice spot at the end of the village. Very quiet and clean. The rooms are very spacious and can accomodate up to 4 people. The property owners managed to provide us transportation at the cheapest cost available and it was really nice of them helping us with the boat. Also food was at a very reasonable price and we really appreciate they didn't charge us too much for eating and drinking at the place. It was nice to spend time with their family, kids and the other guests. In the place there are a lot of cute dogs and pigs.

The only thing that could be improved a little bit is the food, but maybe we weren't lucky. For the rest all good.

A place like you don't see anymore. Simple but comfortable cottage right in front of the beach. We spent 8 nights with our 2 kids and enjoyed every minute of it. Just doing nothing, listening to the waves, reading, wandering in the lovely village closeby, swimming, playing with the locals kids and their beautiful smile...David is a lovely character full of stories, his wife Joannie is the cook and manage to realize good dishes despite the challenge of being in a remote island (they make their own bread for instance)...Their 3 kids are also part of the daily life. They are so kind and attentive. It was such a privilege to spend a week like this. Thank you David, Joannie, Dylan, Chloe and Noveline + Luigi the clown.

People who complains because there is no shops, no bars, no permanent wifi :)

Location and environment was superb. David and his family are super friendly and helpful, they really try to do their best for you and accomodate as best as they can. You're almost alone on the island without other tourists. There is a small village next to the accomodation which is filled with friendly locals. Best pancake breakfast of Siargao!

Place was a bit run down due to the typhoon. It is clear they are still rebuilding. Rooms were a bit hot at night. Facilities are quite basic, but has everything you need.

This place is special. Staying with Dave and Joannie was a really wholesome and authentic experience. The island itself is beautiful and the best thing is that you will be the only tourists there. David is full of funny stories and makes you feel part of the family. The kids are super sweet and helpful. We had a spacious room and breezy room and loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves. If you’re looking for a good place to relax and have an authentic, wholesome family friendly experience, you should stay there. We stayed 4 nights and recommend MINIMUM 3 nights!

Nothing. David says he has lots of plans to improve the setup which is great! Can’t wait to see how it looks when we return :)

We just spent 7 wonderful days on an amazing island and could have stayed another month. When we arrived they were just installing their solar system so after 2 nights we had electricity 24/7 where previously the generator only ran 10hrs a day. If you're looking for a true tropical island paradise away from the usual crowds and tourism just metres from the beach then this is a must stay. Great food and hosts who make you feel like part of their family. We were lucky enough to also do a day trip to the next island for their Fiesta and were welcomed with open arms and enjoyed a day of feasting. On top that we had our special needs elderly father with us and the service in helping outstanding. We are definitely coming back for another stay in the future.

My family's experience at David's resort on the enchanting Anajawan Island was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, peppered with David's hilarious jokes that immediately made us feel at home. The sense of community here is palpable, with David's large, close-knit family working together in harmony. It's inspiring to see so many kids helping each other, creating a vibrant community that enriches every visitor's stay. Anajawan Island itself is a place of pure magic. The simplicity of life here, with locals living without electricity and collecting rainwater for daily use, adds to the island's charm and reminds one of the beauty of connecting with nature. This backdrop provided a vital lesson for our kids, teaching them the importance of sustainability and resourcefulness. David and Joanne went above and beyond in ensuring our meals were prepared with care, despite the inherent difficulties of surviving in such a remote location. Their effort to provide exceptional service to guests under these conditions is truly commendable. The survival challenges of island life did not detract from the quality of service. In fact, it highlighted the dedication and hard work the hosts put into ensuring their guests' comfort. Our children, aged 5 and 1.5, were safe and relaxed throughout our stay, thanks to the exceptional hospitality extended to us. A highlight of our trip was the guided tour by the kids to the other side of the island. It offered a unique perspective and a deeper understanding of this beautiful place. Additionally, David's amazing music playlist added a delightful soundtrack to our adventure, enhancing the already serene and joyous atmosphere. I strongly recommend booking a stay of at least three nights to fully immerse yourself in the magic of Anajawan Island and to appreciate the community and natural beauty it has to offer.

David is well aware of the necessary steps to enhance the facilities and the overall guest experience. It's important to remember that the island has endured the hardships of Covid-19 and then faced the devastating impact of Typhoon Odette, which obliterated everything in its path.
