Really unbeatable in New York for location & value, one bedroom room is huge for New York.

Felt very conned & disappointed by the doorman who encouraged me to take a cab "his guy" to the airport over an Uber and said it would be around the same cost I was being quoted by Uber, which ended up being almost $80USD more than the Uber cost. He called the cab driver from his private mobile and it is clearly a kick back situation. I'm a better traveler than this and shouldn't have listened but given how much I enjoyed the trip and was there for two week, and was very generous with tipping the staff because of the fine service and have been so complimentary about the property on numerous reviews this behaviour disappointed me. Every other doorman was genuine & helpful but I'd definitely research recommendations given like this.

The location in midtown is excellent, a short walk from central park and time square. We stayed in a city lights suite which was perfect for us with two 17 year old kids who shared the pullout sofa bed(no complaints from them!). The main bedroom has its own en suite and two closets and is separated from the living area by double doors which gives privacy between those using the pullout sofa area and those using the bedroom. The main living area has a toilet and shower and the kitchenette has a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a coffee maker and the coffee pods are complimentary.

The Manhattan Club We stayed at the Manhattan Club NYC for a week in August 2024. We had been looking for accommodation for 2 adults and a 14-year-old child in Manhattan in a location as close to Central Park/Time Square as possible so that we wouldn't generally have to rely on the subway for our planned activities. This was followed by a rather lengthy search for suitable accommodation and checking the respective reviews on booking.com. Sometimes we liked this one better, sometimes that one, but the reviews were never consistent. After realizing that most of the room sizes offered for 3 “full-grown” guests were between 19 and 25 m² and in most cases contained “so-called” queen-size beds (B: 130-140cm), we happened to notice “The Manhatten Club” with room sizes of more than 40 m². Additionally with a functional kitchenette, 2 bathrooms and actually two rooms, which could be separated by a sliding door. However, we were unsure because of the widely differing reviews. Some guests were probably delighted, while others criticized the accommodation as “getting on in years”, for example wallpaper that was peeling, carpet in general, sofa bed uncomfortable, etc. Another point of criticism was often the breakfast - we can only say that it is better to book without breakfast in NYC - there are Starbuckks, delis, supermarkets etc. on every corner. After weighing up all the possible accommodations, we finally decided on “The Manhattan Club” and were pleasantly surprised.

Yes, it's true - there are certainly more modern hotels and yes, perhaps not everything was 100% accurate by German standards, but - the apartment was more like a small two-room apartment - two (decent) bathrooms for 3 people is worth its weight in gold - the kitchenette served us well (note - no stove/oven but microwave with grill function) - the double bed was king size and the tolerable sofa bed as well - the staff was always friendly, attentive and courteous - in addition to the 2 general elevators, there are two more (somewhat hidden) - the location of the hotel (56St.-7 Av.) is unbeatable (morning jogging in Central Park no problem, 2 min to there), MoMa around the corner, Time Square 10 min. etc. - on the 22nd floor you can't really hear any traffic at all

The room was comfortable, the maid service great. I was glad to have stayed on the 2nd floor as the elevators were a bit slow for the amount of guests so we took the stairs a lot. The location was perfect for the agenda I had planned, and the lobby staff was great. The surrounding area had many options for dinner. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel as the price was too high for the quality of food.

We found a water bug one evening in the bathroom. It was a bit noisy from the street. Sound proof windows would have been great.

The location is wonderful. Close to two different subway stations, Central Park, museums, theatre, everything you need. The towels were super clean and fluffy. Our room was very comfortable. We got popcorn and coffee pods included in the room. It felt very spacious, particularly the generous-sized shower and bed.

The housekeeping service was fantastic - everything was fresh and clean - however they came around quite early for jet lagged Australians. There was no ‘do not disturb’ sign. On one morning, two different housekeepers knocked and came into our room before 9:30am. Also we could hear the housekeepers in the corridors really loudly every morning moving garbage bags and vacuum cleaners and talking to each other, I think this was because our room was right next to the storage room.

We were given a junior executive room on a high floor with a great view! Parking was an incredible deal. We were charged $35/day! When you arrive at the hotel they unload your bags and valet park your car. I'd easily seen at least $50/day everywhere else. Didn't even need the car until we left. We got everywhere by walking, taking the train, or by Uber/Lyft. Such an easy city to get around! The Manhattan Club is a short train ride to Times Square or about a 25 minute walk.

Clean, 2 tv’s one of which in the bathroom, well located, kitchenette, affordable price, good deal for parking

The concierge that was there during the main daytime shift on Jan 1-2 2023 that was keen to speak fluent in Spanish to some guests, and who was slightly more inviting to guests that checked their bags, was not so keen to answer simple questions on amenities and directions for us. He seemed bothered and even answered with sarcasm and disregard on two occasions as though those types of questions were beneath him. it’s a difficult thing because I wish to give the experience a 5 star as everything else was superb. But when an interaction occurs when you’re expecting to feel welcomed in the lobby but instead you’re left feeling unwelcome it weighs on the experience.

Great location, lots of nice restaurants downstairs. Close to central park and time square. Room was big for NYC.

Making sofa bed charges extra $40 dollars. The second bathroom only had bath and no shower. AC was a bit loud.

The hotel is in a great location - close to Times Square and Broadway, Carnegie Hall and Central Park. 5th Avenue is an easy walk away. Public transport (subway, MTZ buses) runs along 7th Ave, making it easy to access everything New York offers. All the hotel staff are friendly and helpful, which helped us enjoy our stay. The room was a good size for 3 people, and was well appointed. We appreciated having access to the owners' club on the top floor, especially when we had a late afternoon flight following check out.

The sound proofing to the adjoining room (door for interconnecting use) wasn't very good, which meant we heard just about every argument the guests in that room had.
