My mother and father used the Crown Plaza not to far away from this hotel when I was in Vilamoura. I see in the reviews that people think the hotel is "Basic". The only difference between the Crown Plaza and this hotel is that the Crown Plaza is probably a bit more modern in their furnishing. Praia Sol is a touch dated, but still very very much acceptable. Other than that no difference. The place was bloody SPOTLESS, room cleaned daily, friendly staff, the room was really big (Bigger than the Crown Plaza Rooms) balcony was huge, breakfast was grand, filled a spot. Pool and lounge area was really really nice. I am 6ft 1 and 132 Kilos, not a small chap, and the beds were just fine. Genuinely have zero complaints about this place, a real find, great value for money and close to everything. Would 100% recommend. I asked the receptionist, was there any chance I could check out at 12 instead of 11? He didn't bat an eyelid, it was no issue. My room was also ready really early at 11am for check in. If you are looking for something a bit more modern, sure go to Crown Plaza or equivalent, but this place for the price you are paying is fantastic. Couldn't recommend more. In a really nice quiet area too.

Absolutely nothing.

We spent 6nights at Praia Sol last week on a little last minute getaway before our baby arrives. From the moment we checked in we felt like we were staying at a 5star hotel. The staff were all so helpful & friendly (Especially Andre) this guy will definitely be running his own hotel in the future. Always the biggest smile on his face, chatting with guests, tidying around, making sure everything was perfect. He even brought us an extra fresh piece of fruit every morning. The hotel itself was so clean, rooms cleaned daily, complimentary fresh biscuits/ sweets & water in the lobby for guests, bar area that also served pizzas/toasties, beautiful pool area with smaller jet pool & even brand new sun loungers. I am so looking forward to coming back to enjoy their new outdoor bar area that was being finished while we were there. I can't recommend this place enough it was incredible value for money & within 5-7 min walk to beach / quarteira & Villamoura marina

I honestly can't say a bad word about this place

I was travelling with friends and stayed here as a stopover for 1 night (20min from the airport) before we continued our journey, it was perfect location for us so we stayed another night on our way back. Very friendly, helpfull staff, very clean rooms and hotel, good continental breakfast, with free parking, close to the sea front and restaurants. For a 3 star i would Highly recommend it ☆☆☆☆☆

Loved our stay at Hotel Praia Sol. The staff were lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive. Had a family feel to it. The rooms were spacious and clean. The rooms were cleaned everyday if you allowed which was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. There were plenty of sun beds and a very clean pool area. The breakfast bonus was lovely. The options were mostly the same everyday but just what is needed. Finally the location was great. It was a 25/30 min journey from the airport and a 10/15 min walk to Quarteira and the Vilamoura marina. Would highly recommend especially with the cost for the location.

Nothing at all.

Arrived with my son for a 4 night break and absolutely loved this small hotel. Beach, shops,restaurants, everything you need is only 10 min walk. Hotel it's self is very clean and well maintained, especially the pool area. Always able to get a sunbed as not too busy but a really nice atmosphere with the pool bar and music on... a proper relaxing area. Our room was on the ground floor with balcony,facing the carpark which was a shame but no trouble at all for us. Bed were comfortable, nice warm shower and aircon worked really well. Maids clean your room everyday too with clean towels provided. If travelling out for the day then definitely book an uber as its so much cheaper. All in all this hotel is wonderful and so glad I booked here

The hotel was ideally placed for us, being a 10 minute walk from the hullabaloo of Vilamoura Marina and a 5 minute walk from Quarteira town and promenade. It was wonderfully clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The pool area was nice and the pool itself was clean and inviting. The outside bar was being refurbished during our stay, but this didn't affect us at all. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice and healthy options. The whole hotel was a real gem.

The fridge was missing in our room, although this didn't bother us at all. (I suspect the hotel was in the process of obtaining new ones.) It would have been nice, however, to have had some tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a lovely stay in Praia Sol. The location is excellent with a selection of shops, bars and restaurants around the corner and about a 7 minute walk to the marina. The hotel is spotless as is the pool area. Lovely pool. We looked forward to breakfast every morning, pastries, fruit and a selection of meats and cheeses, you could also order eggs and bacon, very tasty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was pretty basic but we didn't mind at all as it was so clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had a lovely balcony. We will definitely be returning to Praia Sol on our next visit to Vilamoura.

The relaxed environment. The staff are 5 star hosts friendly polite people. It's my first time in another country and I must say there's 5 star hotels out there but me and my partner are coming back here in September as I will not stop else where. Very impressed with the whole stay including the choice of different type of breakfast hence scrambled eggs and bacon, cakes, different types of bread for toast the list goes on. Too finish this review I'd say give this place a try as I'm fussy and I've had not 1 moan ha ha but well done too all the staff fantastic beautiful people x

12 mins walk from the marina and beach. Rooms are functional and have everything you require. Beds are comfortable. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Lovely pool. Hardworking staff are friendly and helpful. If you want kids' entertainment, or like lots of action in the hotel and around the pool area, this is not the hotel for you. If you want a good hotel to use as a base during your holiday while you explore the area and eat in local restaurants, then I would definitely recommend it. Great value for money, and we would stay again.

Really lovely staff, so friendly and approachable. Hotel is just as you would expect a three star hotel to be, nothing fancy but clean, tidy and "homely". Rooms are large (ours was anyway) with pretty basic facilities and some ageing , however they are cleaned spotlessly each day , bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast options are limited, breads, cooked meats , cheese, cereals etc. however the staff are only too keen to cook scrambled eggs, boiled eggs or basically any type of cooked egg for you to accompany. Nice Bar and they are constructing a pool side external bar which at the time of this review (04.06.24) looks like it should be finished in a couple of weeks. Hotel is located just behind the Marina and really close to all the central attractions , plenty of meal options on the doorstep for the evening, although we mainly ate in the Marina restaurants as the location, views and vibe were superb. All in all a very nice and certainly value for money Hotel.

Maybe consider putting Tea and Coffee making facilities in the Hotel rooms?
