Great location! Family friendly!

We had to ask maintenance to fix our washroom drains twice in our short stay. But I didn’t factor this into my rating of 9/10.

The view was perfect. Location excellent. Room size very good. Especially liked the incorpration of a small kitchen. Room service was excellent and prompt and staff were very polite and helpful, especially in the dining area where they were always at hand for clearing the tables and offering assistance where needed.

Offering the kitchen facility in the room, would have been helpful to have a small kettle. Limited choice of meals. Due to the time we went, the main dining area was closed and the main evening menu (which was not as varied as we'd experienced before) was served in an Italian restaurant attached to the hotel. Not particularly liking pasta too much, we decided to arrange room service, which was excellent.

There was a good range of food for continental breakfast - however bacon and sausages were definitely below par for hot breakfast option. There is a station for fried eggs and omelettes which is handy as they are made fresh in front of you. Though the rashers and sausages were not great, there really was plenty of fruit, yogurt, cheeses, bread, rolls, croissants, butter, jam, puree, juices and nice coffee from the coffee machines. Also plenty of space for everyone. We were on level 9 and the lifts were very quick - you rarely had to wait more that a minute for one

Rashers and sausages - at breakfast. There was an issue with hot water running out in shower about 5.30 in the evening but we were on floor 9, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it, or that everyone was back from the beach at that time and having showers.

The fact that we had to move to another hotel on 9 May '24 for the remainder of our stay in Villamoura. Lack of drinking water for the tables at breakfast . I had to keep filling a glass of water from a bottle placed only in a central location rather than on each table Perhaps you need to ask guests to avoid using the TV in their rooms after 11 pm - as the noise prevents others from sleeping.

Fantastic location right next to sea and clean beach good view of the ocean! Very clean and plenty of facilities inside to keep yourself and kids engaged if the weather is bad. Very friendly staff especially Tania at the SPA and Jacuzzi department.

Bathroom in Suite had poor draining caused us feel uncomfortable as water during and after shower filled up in bathtub. In spite of complaining the reception confirmed the issue is resolved but not sure if they really fixed anything as there was absolutely no difference.

Breakfast and location was excellent. Rooms were clean and tidy. Pool area nice with good selection of beds around each pool!

Beds could be more comfortable! The pool bar was terrible. Slow service and food very average when it eventually arrived… Staff did not care to serve food and made many many errors at pool bar. Two hours for two sandwiches and 2 drinks is shocking service. Staff at pool bar were very poor and manager was just as bad. Needless to say we never returned to the pool bar for lunch or drinks as the service was very very slow and not helpful at all… Have lunch & drinks at the marina instead!! Much faster and better service in the Marinas many bars and restaurants.

Buffet style breakfast with a good choice. Location in my opinion is excellent. We booked a superior room with seaview and it was spacious and with a fab view. We have stayed at this hotel many times and always been very happy.

Sadly Puro Beach Club across the road from the hotel can be very noisy and loud especially if you sit by the pool during the day. If you shut the patio doors we couldn't hear it in the room. The hotel seems to do a a great many golf packages now and that can prove to be very noisy too.

Staff so friendly and helpful

Our. Case didn't make flight, we arrived sat, wedding on Monday, v stressful no case, I checked on sun morning had it arrived and it didn't, wedding Monday, rang airline Tues, they didn't call back, rang again Wednesday (leaving Thursday) and airline confirmed it was delivered on Sunday at hotel. We had to buy and borrow clothes, hotel apologised and said they would check what happened, very apologetic but for us v stressful week.

Location was great - easy walk to the marina and all the restaurants there. Also just on the beach. The breakfast was very good and dishes were replenished as needed.

Probably as a result of covid, there was a reliance on technology to give information. The cafe menu was on a board outside, but inside, at tables, one had to scan a QR code to access the menu. It would have been a good idea to have a folder of relevant information in the bedrooms - procedure for using the safe, how to dial other rooms etc. The staff at reception were very helpful with information but a folder in the room would have been useful

The hotel was absolutely fantastic and highly recommended , with great food and very friendly service Booked for next year straight away. Just a little disappointed with using facilities.

When going to use indoor swimming pool and hottub, I was told we had to wear swimming caps we wasnt told this at point of booking and also not given a reason why, im a man with a bold head. What difference would it make 🤔, we also told we would have to pay for swimming caps, we were put off by this very unhappy, most men have body hair and facial hair.. do they ask em to put a all in one body suit on with a mask..ERR NO! Was so looking forward to using hotel facilities very disappointed .
