The dinners were excellent. Very varied menu with something for everyone. The staff were exceptional, even when busy, which was most of the time! The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. It was well insulated from the noise of the main road.

Better lighting would be a bonus in the bedroom. It was very dark in the desk /TV area. The shower was big but quite slippery. A safety mat would have been appreciated. The kettle was huge!! Far to big to fill at the basin. Some water glasses would have been useful in the bathroom. We obtained some from the bar in the end.

The food at this Hotel is really good, that’s why we chose it Good choice at breakfast and we dined in on 2 nights. Sunday platter is excellent value for money and the burger night on Monday was great. Only disappointment was the shower, as the doors were hanging off and actually did fall off one morning, The Hotel were aware of it, and trying to fix it. Also the bed sheets were way too small. The fitted sheet barely covered the mattress and I had to straighten the pillows in the pillow case. Such simple things that it should be possible to get right. I had stayed here before, and even for the little faults it is still excellent value for money and the staff are so lovely.

The ashtray by the entrance, please please empty it more often. It is an awful thing to have by the entrance with soggy wet fag ends in it. It annoyed me every time I passed it !

Quiet location, well presented and very helpful staff. Restaurant is excellent - a good selection and good quality. Breakfast was comprehensive and quickly prepared to order.

Just one little niggle - it was obvious that a majority of the midweek clientele are workers - singles. The room was clearly set up for that - one bath towel, one hand towel etc. Additional items supplied very promptly when requested, but if the booking is for a couple, it would have been more thoughtful to have the additional items there without asking.

Rooms for our party were ideal. We all enjoyed our breakfasts. Showers were very good in well decorated bathrooms. We appreciated help with getting a taxi. Comfy beds and cosy rooms. Would certainly stay again and would recommend to others.

This is being really picky because the hotel was ideal for our stay - attending a family wedding at Logie Country House for the weekend. A towel rail in the single bedroom would have been helpful and perhaps a shelf to put soap bag on. Decaf teabags and coffee would have been appreciated.

Beautiful hotel. My friend and I slept in so actually missed breakfast, which we were gutted about as we had dinner night before and it was fantastic!

Only downfall was the floorboards were very noisy in bedroom & door was quite stiff to open/close. Apart from that the room was lovely and clean. We would 100% book again. Have spoke about coming all the way from Grantown On Spey to have food again, it was that good. The staff were all helpfull and friendly.

well run hotel with nice interior. Restaurant is way better than you would expect for a 2 star hotel. I think it should have 3 stars. It's obvious that a lot of hard work is being done to make it the standard that it is. The outside seating area is a great asset. Unfortunately the weather was wet so I didn't use it.

Breakfast was a bit late on a Saturday for early risers so I missed out on what I imagine would have been a great breakfast. Acoustics in the room was not great. I was wakened by some sounds e.g. extractor fans going on and off but this is sometimes unavoidable in older hotel properties.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The resturant was exceptional with great food and a good choice of food on the menu. Breakfast was either self service or cooked breakfast both had a good choice of tasty food and well worth adding to your stay. Rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished Our bathroom was large and well fitted. There was a large TV and heating to your requirements all added to the great experience, definately my hotel of choice in this area.

Would have like the resturant/bar open a bit later.

Car park can be full with people attending the restaurant making it difficult for hotel guests to park. Fantastic restaurant but shuts early Mon-Fri and no hot food available for hotel guests after restaurant closed Would have been great to have a small menu of hot food available till 11pm as room service ??

Well fitted with modern amenities, excellent location excellent value for money. Will certainly return when in the area again. The catering was excellent and the hotel catered for our 15month old grandson without any fuss. We were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much for the staff to do. One of the best hotels we've stayed in

Peaceful location. Very comfortable bed and excellent shower water pressure. Our dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We also enjoyed the full Scottish breakfast included in our room rate. Enjoyed having no stairs to climb.

The lack of information concerning check-in and the need to book a table for dinner. The small teacups in the room, as some people tend to enjoy drinking their hot drinks from a mug.
