I had the Tuesday evening special of Hamburger and chips. chips were great but the hamburger was the poorest of poor that I have ever had. Just a plain grilled patty on a burger bun not grilled no butter no sauce or no tomato or gherkins no lettuce just plain patty on a dry bun and on top of this all it cost 12.5 pound ...in my opinion shocking and extortion for what one received. I would recommend that anyone trying this meal out be very aware of what you may receive in actual fact give it a miss rather go somewhere else for a meal

The Knowsley Inn & Lounge (formerly Holiday Inn Express) is a pleasant, modern and clean hotel, with friendly and welcoming staff. I had a comfortable, large bedroom to myself and enjoyed two nice buffet breakfasts and one evening meal. The hotel represents good value for money.

As expected, the hotel is some way out of Liverpool city centre and there are no shops. cafes or other facilities nearby. However, although I didn't travel by car, I found regular bus services to and from the city centre on the main road nearby; the journey takes around 40/45 minutes. I'd advise guests to use the hotel as a base, due to its out-of-town location. and stay in Liverpool city centre (for sightseeing, etc) during the day.

The rooms are very big Bathrooms are lovely The restaurant and food selection plus the drink selection The staff on the Saturday were really friendly and couldn't do enough to help What made me smile is that a walk-in asked for a room One of the waiters said, "Comic con is on , we are fully booked" Definitely stay here again

The size of the bed! Was a bit small .... The shower leaked over the floor It needs a longer shower curtain or more glass

The bar and lounge was nice to relax in on the evening.

The breakfast tasted stale on the two occasions we ate. The sink was blocked poorly maintained, the shower was leaking water on the floors, the electric card box came off and I had to fix it back, The remote control for the tv didn’t work. the suitcase fold up stand was not retained and fell on my wife’s foot really damaging her toes.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good if you went down early. The room was comfortable and We had a good night's sleep.

There needs to be somewhere for ladies to apply makeup etc. There was no dressing table and the light wasn't great for getting ready. If you went for breakfast a little late, the hot food wasn't quite as nice as arriving earlier.

Parking was easy, check-in was prompt and friendly, the Lounge and bar area looked cosy and inviting. The room was better than I expected due to it being a budget hotel. Couldn't fault the cleanliness.

The room was a bit noisy - next to a firedoor in the corridor which did bang when people went through. This wasn't a big issue, and wouldn't stop me staying again.

Attending a wedding at Knowsley Hall, location was great for the event and for setting off back down south the following morning. Staff were really helpful, pleasant and lovely to interact with. Rooms spacious and well equipped.

Some aspects of the furniture and decor in the rooms was a little bit tired but it was clean and rooms checked and refreshed each day.

Rooms very lovely. Very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Staff were so so helpful. We were late checking in - after midnight and the lady on reception was so nice and helpful. We had travelled for a funeral and were tired at this stage. She got us some food and organized breakfast for the next morning and helped get our bearings for the next day. A real gem.

Location - we arrived at night in the dark and would have been afraid on my own. It seems to be in an industrial estate. I also don't know the area so could be mistaken and everything else is nice about the place.

Room was clean, sofa bed was made up for our arrival which is appreciated when travelling with a young child. Room was spacious, had all the necessary amenities. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of parking.

Bed mattress was very uncomfortable, far too soft and sagging in the middle. Breakfast was overpriced for what was provided (not worth £10pp). Tv had sketchy reception and was tuned to Welsh terrestrial channels.

The greeting by the reception team and breakfast and bar area in convenient location, also property has a lift and adequate secure parking.

Building works were being undertaken so limited space in reception bar area, not too much of a major problem however this should have really been informed when/ shortly after booking and reflected in the Price (made cheaper as pricing was similar to other weekends for the venue upon checking).
