This was a lovely hotel, very close to the Capitol and the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. The staff was lovely, the rooms were spacious. Little things like the curtains keeping the rooms dark in the morning and the TV being in a location you can see from both beds and the bathroom having a little seating area to do hair and makeup - it was wonderful. The pool and game room looked fun. Plenty of vending machines.

I do like when hotels have complimentary robes for use and ideally, slippers as well.

The staff was very nice, the location in proximity to downtown and the capital was very convenient. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were terrible.

The room was much smaller than expected. And I know this is out of the hotels control, but the view of the desolate lot and building across the street was less than appealing. The underground parking was honestly scary. They should enforce that smaller vehicles need to go further into the depths, a standard size pickup truck can't fit past the second turn, but all the smaller cars take up those spaces most of the time.

Location is great. Staff is nice. Bed is comfortable.

The television system is terrible!! Very difficult to use and find channels. You really need a better interface! The view from my room was terrible. I looked out into a roof and was uncomfortable that someone could access the room from the roof. I am a repeat customer and I wish there was some rewards system. I do book the lowest rate possible, but I do come back when I visit madison. I am a marriott customer usually and get points to use for upgrades, etc.

Front desk staff were awesome. The pool room, including the whirlpool and sauna is very nice.

I appreciated the front desk assigning me a high room with view of the Capitol upon request. Unfortunately, the drapes were installed that in a way that didn't offer a full view when opened to the fullest extent. Also wish the coffee maker was more environmentally friendly, lot of black plastic that's not recyclable. And I wish they had real cream, not the tried stuff. It is dairy land after all.

The safety of the hotel was very nice. The pool was also very clean and at a very good temperature. The sauna was also a very nice surprise.

I would have enjoyed a more private bathroom, since the door to the bathroom did not lock and was a sliding door. I would have also liked if the parking was a little cheaper.

The location was great, around the block to the Capital. Lots of shops/eateries to check out. Our reservation included the Governor’s package. Worth every penny, you get access to a free happy hour with snacks, free desserts and free breakfast in a separate smaller lounge on the 12th floor that has amazing views of the capital. The customer service in the lounge is top notch and very personal. If you don’t have cash for tipping and you want to tip, you can scan a QR code and add it to your room.

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great and the price was unbeatable. On-site parking is convenient. King room was spacious and had a view of the lake. Many great restaurants and attractions within walking distance. Has on-site bar and restaurant.

The only thing I didn't love were the pillows.

Gorgeous lobby with large sitting area. Spacious, clean, quiet room. Comfortable bed. Nice view. Great location near Capital building. Easy to navigate to downtown locations by walking. Bathroom shower nicely arranged with usable set of shelves for shampoo, Etc at rear. Great stay. Would book again.

Strange orientation of bathroom door and wall made doorway opening narrow. I believe due to retrofit for updating bathroom. We both bumped into the wall once. Minor issue.

Loved our room with the whirlpool, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, the pool and hot tub was great and the governor lounge and bar tender was great

The couch in our room was uncomfortable and the toilet paper is rough. The food for the snack in the governor’s lounge was disappointing this time, the other four times I have stayed in the last six years it was great this time it was soy chicken with bao buns and just some cheese, definitely not what I wanted or expected. Breakfast was great though.

The hotel is just greatly located, with everything you might need for a stay in Madison. There's nothing to complain about, the staff are incredible, rooms are clean, bed is comfortable. HOWEVER, the Location is absolutely perfect, central to everything you might need, whether to see the sites or go barhopping, this is the hotel to go to, you can walk everywhere.

The underground parking height limit was a bummer, I couldn't park my truck there because it is too high and had to find a paid alternative (although very close).
