The room is always so comfortable at the Belleclaire. The location is also ideal. It is relatively quiet compared to other popular areas in NYC. The hotel is very close to Central Park and within walking distance to lots of cafés, museums, and tourist attractions.

Guests receive $10 breakfast coupons for the café attached to the hotel. However, currently the coupon does not fully cover one pastry and one medium coffee. Therefore, the hotel is saying that they provide breakfast but it is not true since guests still have to cover for the remainder.

Location is in the Upper West Side which is quite frankly an understated area of Manhattan. The room was small but functional, great layout and sufficient amenities. Bathroom design was simple and effective. Towels changed daily. TV functions perfect. Low noise AC is a huge plus.

The reception team would be the only area of improvement. They are polite and professional but not proactive. We would have appreciated a bit more proactive advice around what we should focus on in the area. Maybe a bit more pride of ownership. That property is breathtaking, there must be a story behind it. It would be nice if the team felt that passion and ownership.

We had a double queen bed room for 3 adults and it was very small for our luggage. We weren’t able to have our things accessible, and it made getting ready for the day in the room quite a challenge. Slightly larger rooms being available for bigger bookings would be ideal (without price increase).

WOW! JUST WOW! This was a great place to stay on the UWS. Very well-located for museum hopping, park exploring, and deli-hopping. Close to the subway, with very nice, friendly staff, warm, welcoming lobby. Our experience limits my ability to comment on the regular rooms, as we were upgraded to "the best room in the house!" I don't know why the front desk captain chose us for this very unexpected gift, but thank you, thank you, thank you from these mid-seventy year olds, who had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage! A few days earlier, we had visited the Whitney's Hopper exhibit, and the view from the 9th floor suite's windows looked out on a scene that could almost have come from one of the paintings. The roofs of low--rise brownstones gave way to the Hudson River, and the NJ skyline. A large, homey and clearly designed living area gave way to the king bed, more windows (all with room-darkening shades) a fuzzy shag rug and dressing table. And next to the bed: a box of a half-dozen pretty and delicious macarons from the French patisserie next door. A massive bathroom with a soaking tub, and walk-in shower completed the suite. Frette linens in the bathroom and on the bed (as well as robes and slippers) made use feel like royalty. Capping it off was the Hopper print that hung on the wall of the sitting area! Bliss! Great location, fastidiously clean, super warm, great patisserie downstairs, great services. Would stay again.

Room was pretty small for 4 adults A priority line should be created to access the bakery for the hotel customers - we have waited more than 20-30 min every morning. It’s a bit of a shame; but it worth it (the bakery is managed by a lovely French owner :))

1) hotel building is very beautiful and well maintained 2) spacious and clean room, very comfy beds 3) delicious breakfast in the French patisserie next door (they also have very good coffee) 4) quiet location close to the Central park and a subway station

1) the biggest defect of the hotel was very strong smell in the room and no possibility to open the window 2) no tea pot/coffee maker in the room which was pretty strange for us 3) staff at the reception although trying to be helpful never smiled and did not seem well informed, they always seemed very tense 4) 10 dollar voucher they give in the hotel is not enough for a breakfast (we always had to add 2-7 dollars for 2 breakfasts)

it was very clean and the location was perfect for the show we saw at the Beacon Theatre.

the sink in the bathroom was stopped up and took a while to drain and the “breakfast” was an interesting set up. You got vouchers to use at a French bakery. when I went to use it , I ordered a latte and a croissant and they told me I owed them .31 cents. I didn’t have it on me so I had to go all the way back up to the room to get money. I am a breakfast person and that was just ok and if you have to pay what you pay to stay there , then you should get breakfast. it’s a little bit of false advertising. you get breakfast with a $10 voucher where a latte and bakery hood is more than $10.

The hotel has a connecting french bakery that also has an entrance from the street that seems to be a local favorite. The bakery service was incredible. They were quick and made sure to help you maximize your $10 credit with extra water etc. The location was great. Only a few blocks away from central park. You could easily walk to places or catch a ride. Personally, I didn't want to be near the craziness of Time Square but if that's what you are looking for you can always catch a taxi there. Loved the neighborhood and felt very safe walking even at night to Made in NY Pizza which is open until late. The suite was a perfect size for a family of 5, clean and spacious. We sure will be returning. Loved Belleclaire!
