Wanted to stay outside of larger cities on our trip around the island and Skibbereen was a perfect location and the West Cork Inn fit our requirements perfectly. It's a rustic building with all the modern comforts and the staff and restaurant were wonderful. We felt Skibbereen was a great start with a history that is both fascinating and tragic. A must visit for those that want real incite on Irish history.

I loved the friendly vibe of the staff, the location on the edge of town, easy to find and free parking. I normally give hotel food a miss as I am usually disappointed, but the food in West Cork Hotel was wonderful and served with a smile. Both breakfast and dinner options had plenty of choice. The room was plenty big for us which included a table and two chairs, the bathroom was lovely and warm with an easy to use shower which was a bonus as I have fought with many a bathroom shower over the years!!

Nothing to dislike

We loved our stay at West Cork. We stayed there our first 2 nights in Ireland. Our room had a balcony where we could look out at the town and the river. Breakfast was so good. Not only was there a cold buffet but we could order off the menu. This was included in the price of our room, which was a reasonable price. The absolute best part was the staff. They were all incredibly nice, but I want to especially mention Csaba at the front desk. He greeted us when we first arrived, and was very helpful. I want to also mention Paul Cheung in the bar. Our first night in Ireland, we were tired and very hungry and didn't want to go anywhere. Paul had dinner brought to us in the bar, and I have to say it was some of the best food we had during our trip. Absolutely delicious! Both of these men as well as the breakfast staff and other staff at the front desk were all very warm yet professional and so kind. Thank you!

Very friendly staff, hotel is in a beautiful building in a nice setting next to the River Ilen and the old railway bridge. Enjoyed a few lovely pints of Murphy's (thanks Joan!) and some delicious fishcakes in the bar - hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas as well!

View from the room wasn't great (but we did only book a Standard room so that wasn't too surprising), and the beds could have been a bit more comfortable - but for what we paid was very happy.

it's my second stay here and having to go to skibbereen for the night the west cork hotel was my only choice of stay.it is a beautiful, peaceful , old fashioned hotel , comfortable, spacious room with a lovely view , staff are very nice , and it is an absolutely spotless hotel. not a speck of dirt

there's not many channels to pick from on the TV, the last time I stayed the room I had had Netflix available too on the TV . this room just had basic saor view channels, the pillows were a bit hard

This is a lovely stately period hotel. It currently undergoing refurbishment but any disruption was minimal. It looks out over the River Lee and is very peaceful. Our room was spacious and nicely furnished with a river view. Parking was free and easy to access. The Restaurant meals were of a very high standard. The included self service continental breakfast was generous but we also ordered additional cooked breakfast from the menu. Nice choices. All the staff were very helpful and professional. Highly recommend.

The old hotel is in a wonderful location right on the river and across from the Heritage Center. It offers a clean room with full bar and restaurant services for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel concierge was extremely helpful and let us check in early to get our of the pouring down rain. The family atmosphere was great. The bartender was such a fun person.

The hotel is just old and funky. The breakfast menu was pretty limited as was the dinner menu. But, the quality of the food was okay. The king bed appeared to be two twin matches pushed together leaving a lump in the middle.

Hotel is easy to find and stands on a good location for excursions. It has nice rooms, beds and parking places. Restaurant and breakfast were ok. We had a great time!

Hotel is located near a busy road so it's a little bit noisy. They serve no scrambled eggs during breakfast. Staff is a little bit business like. But we had no problems with that. Maybe others do.

From the moment of arrival and checking in the staff couldn't have done more. Very professional,, courteous, My pattern and I were very impressed at the friendly banter at the same time professional. The rooms were immaculate. The toilets also immaculate. The pint of Guinness 10/10. The food was delicious. I had the beef my partner the salmon. Plenty on the plate and more if asked for more. I highly recommend to any future guests to Skibbereen to give West Cork Hotel a try. Well done guys keep up the excellent work and customer care.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

The breakfast is fantastic - a full Irish (and other options) is included when you pay for the breakfast add on, which is a great deal - would definitely recommend. Carpet was new in the room, it was very comfortable. The restaurant was also great, we ate and drank here and loved the wine selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking lot was great for the rental car. There isn't much to do in the town itself, but it is a great spot to park for the evening if you're exploring west Cork.

Service was a bit slow around dinner, but it seemed that the staff we had as waitresses may have been newer.
