Beautiful hotel, stylish and comfortable. Very luxurious.

Staff weren’t particularly welcoming. Two members of staff were chatting amongst themselves. Building works started SO early (just before 9am) on the room next door. Constant banging and drilling!

This is a fantastic hotel. My greeting, upon arrival, was friendly and welcoming. My room (I had an upgrade) was beautifully decorated, comfortable and well-equipped. I was here for my birthday and it felt like a really lovely treat. I was able to work effectively at the desk and then relax in the bath. The mini bar was very welcome and the TV and sitting area a really nice place to chill out. The bed was very comfortable and luxurious. The hotel is a great location: central for Leeds but quiet at night. I can't wait to visit again. Highly recommended.

Only (slight) niggle was that I was charged a £50 deposit that was taken from my account. Most hotels, in my experience, take card details in case they need to charge for damage, which I understand, but don't take the money in advance. I was told about this on arrival and got the £50 deposit back within 3 days, but this sort of thing means I could never use this hotel for work, as the bill plus deposit would take me over my allowed budget.

Beautiful hotel lovely Christmas decor and smelt divine , Mince pies and mulled cider in reception area was a nice touch ! Lovely clean room and comfy beds if a little dark. Great concierge guys and friendly reception with a warm welcome

Hard to get a table in bar lounge area as the lounge area closed for private events both nights , all the staff except one guy in bar area where fabulous ! No ashtrays for smokers on terrace had to keep asking over and over again ? took a long time to get drinks one night your allowed to sit at the bar and then the next your not? too many reserved tables and no one sat on them meaning hotel guests have no where to sit !

Lovely and cozy room , very clean , great lobby, love the interior of the whole place and the warm scent they have around the hotel , didn’t get the chance to try the breakfast or the restaurant . The staff were all amazing , the concierge was very helpful and so were the front desk , all very professional and friendly . Location was excellent

The beds are too small , we booked a double room and the bed was tight for two people . Wish it had more amenities , a gym for example and more bathroom amenities like a hair dryer , bath robe , cotton pads and cotton buds .

The bedrooms were incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to relax. I often struggle to sleep in hotels because the mattresses are either too hard or too soft—I'm very much like Goldilocks, always searching for that perfect balance. However, this was the best night's sleep I’ve ever had at a hotel. The staff were consistently kind and polite throughout my stay. I was even upgraded free of charge by a lovely staff member with orange hair who was a Sleep Token fan. She went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional, regularly checking in to ensure everything was perfect. My bags were safely stored after checkout, allowing me to explore the city hands-free. The lounge area was a pleasant touch, offering mince pies and refreshments while we waited comfortably. Added bonus: Most hotels checkout is at 10am, this hotel is 11am!

Fabulous hotel, large, very comfortable room, beautiful bathroom with great shower. Perfect location with everything Leeds has to offer within walking distance. Great bar and restaurant with knowledgeable bar staff happy to make off menu cocktails. The best thing, however, was the staff who were friendly, helpful and showed what great customer service can be, faultless. Special mention for Dominik on reception who made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we walked through the door to the minute we left. Can't recommend The Dakota highly enough and can't wait to go back.

Absolutely nothing.

Friendly reception staff when arriving. We had booked to use an area of the restaurant for our team meeting, there was some confusion around our booking of food and the teas and coffees we were told would be via a machine however, we were then given filter coffee and tea. Not a massive issue, just not what we thought we were getting. I also asked not to be sat together for breakfast and we were sat in the area that we would then end up seated in all day for our conference, not the most idea really.

Location was amazing, close to shopping centre,train station and nightlife. Also balcony in room was great, also having a shower and bath in the room was excellent.

Nothing we didn’t dislike, only issues there was is that the shower leaked, there was a stain on the back of the curtain, stain on bed sheets after room had been made up looked like coffee or tea and balcony door didn’t lock. The toilet roll holder was also loose. These didn’t bother us at all but thought to mention it as I know others would not like it and could complain in future when people stay in room.

This is the second time we stayed in Dakota. It’s a very nice hotel, with beautiful rooms, spacious, stylish, very clean, comfortable bed. We like the bar and the amazing cocktails they offered. The staff is brilliant, very attentive and friendly.

My only downside to Dakota is that the rooms can be a bit noisy if there are facing Greek Street, which is a pedestrian street full of bars and restaurants. On our first stayed, our room was facing the other side of the building and it was find, but this time, we were right above the bars and over the weekend it was quite noisy. My tip, when booking, request a room at the right side of the building.
