We were in the area purely to see the Thursford Christmas show- so the location was picked as it was only a 15 minute drive from Thursford. There were cheaper Hotels in the area which were not attached to a pub- but we paid the extra so that we could have a late drink after the show. We also chose the venue as it had parking. It was quite a cold night and the room was warm enough.

Its in a very quiet village- so there were no other patrons in the Pub. When we returned after the Thursford Show hoping to have a late drink- the pub was all locked up in darkness. I cant blame them for that- its not worth keeping a place open for 2 customers- but maybe the Pub opening times could be added to the Booking.com info page. Would have booked somewhere cheaper without an attached pub if had known. Also- for anyone else visiting Thursford- the show finishes at 10pm but it took a full 30 mins to exit the Car Park ( chaotic)- so that needs to be factored into estimating when you may be back at your accomodation. ( I didnt take this into account)- and of couse not the Hotels fault.

Quiet spot away from main pub, breakfast was excellent , nice homely pub with excellent staff, evening meal was very nice

Rooms a little tired although clean, Venetian blind broken and not been dusted in months, had to kneel in bath to have a shower ( no shower curtain, and pretty impossible to fit one due to Bath surround and window) bathroom floor needs regrouting , lot’s of little nigglely things, but bed /and room was clean and comfortable , just a few little maintenance issues, but I would stay again

I couldn’t fault the breakfast, very accommodating and great service. The location is lovely but not so easy when you are relying on buses. Otherwise, location is lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was travelling alone via public transport and had not been to Stiffkey before so I did have to use the buses which were very full and you needed to know where the stops were in order to ask the driver to stop and I didn’t know where they were. Not the pub’s fault though.

The views were stunning from our balcony. Good size room. Helpful and friendly staff, excellent chef who accommodated our needs and really went the extra mile. Food superb. Shame we weren't staying longer.

Would've like a shower rather than a bath. Staff member at breakfast was rather rushed off her feet, so there was some waiting around and delays with food, drink etc. Bed a bit too soft.

Breakfast was brilliant, accommodation was standard but expected this as was a 3 star, it was good for us as we had a dog with us

Apart from the pub the location is isolated in a village. The pub meals were good for one night but we're not cheap. It worked out expensive to go their most evenings

The accommodation was very comfortable and well presented. The attic apartment we were allocated was well thought out & had a luxurious bathroom. The restaurant served good food, the staff very friendly and accommodating The impromptu live music in the bar on the Saturday night was excellent fun & entertainment!

The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble, they set a very high standard of customer care. The food was delicious and the atmosphere lovely.

The only thing I can think I if is that our room only had a bath with a shower attachment and there were a few cobwebs in the room.

Good size room, attentive staff, good view from room, nice character building and nice breakfast. Any issues with room or check in sorted immediately. Excellent parking space.

No shower door or curtain especially as it's only a hand held shower. Lack of simpler pub classics and bar snacks on menu.

The food was excellent and the staff were very welcoming and friendly

The room only had a bath tub with shower attachment on the taps. Which would be ok if there was a shower screen on the bath. Because this isn't the the water goes all over the floor.
