The accommodation is short walk to the zocalo. Close to bars. We felt safe in the neighbourhood. The room was clean and spacious. Hot shower. The terrace was great to chill out and meet other travellers. The accommodation is generally quiet.

There seems to be construction works on the terrace. The terrace and furniture was covered in dust. There was building materials on the ground. No information of wifi or password provided. We found out from other travellers who were staying there. It would be good to have more shelves and hooks in the bathroom.

Not able to clean my dishes in the kitchenette, out of soap and water turned off. Extended stay, ended up buying TP instead of requesting a roll at a time. Bring 3 plug to two plug converters.

The room actually matched the pictures - very pleasant. It was nice to have access to the kitchen. There was a nice view from the terrace upstairs and the location was very good

It was the only place I couldn't pay with a credit card so I had to make a trip to the bank to get cash. The bank charged almost $10 for the transaction! Pleasant room in a good location

Great location, the site has all you need from a hostel. The personnel did everything to accommodate our needs which we really appreciated. Casa Tecolote is close to good cafes and restaurants, walking distance to most of the visitor's attraction (the town itself). The beauty of the city architecture and narrow streets.

Be aware that being downtown Guanajuato also means close to bars which are noisy and close around 2 am, every day of the week.

We were blown away by the room and the whole building at Casa telecote! Really big and spacious traditional style room with lots of storage, comfy bed and all round clean and accommodating facilities. The rooftop terrace is probably one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. The location is perfect right in the middle of everything and a really nice street. The owner was so accommodating and friendly. Really could not have asked for a better room and for the price we paid it is incredible! You will not regret booking this place.

Some noise from the street at night which we didn’t mind but some people may be unhappy with - bear in mind we kept our balcony doors open, probably quieter with them closed!

Very large room and bed, the location was great and situated very close to the main areas. The room had a mini balcony with views of the city.

We found a cockroach in the room. The road up to the hotel is pretty steep.

The rooftop terrace is super nice, room was clean and comfy, wifi worked well, great value, outstanding location

It's definitely an AirBnb situation rather than an actual hotel - no one was there to greet us besides other guests, which wasn't a problem because the host left a key

I enjoyed everything during our stay, a bit sad we only had 1 day in Guanajuato such a beautiful place. We had the room with the balcony and it was really nice, but the cherry on the top was the roof terrace with great views, as well the location.
