Location was amazing, right smack in the middle of centro and within walking distance to everything. Receptionists were always friendly and helpful whenever we needed help. Hotel also has water dispensers that you can use to refill your bottles, which is great. Room was super clean and spacious, toilet was also huge as well. Toiletries were provided, though no toothbrush and toothpaste so you have to bring your own. There are supermarts nearby, laundromats around as well. There's always someone at reception, and if you get back late at night there's a security at the door to let you in, so it's very safe. They are also able to help you book a taxi to take you to the airport when you leave, and the price (250 pesos per ride) is comparable to their collectivos (120 pesos per person).

There's no lift, so we had to lug our huge luggages up to the 2nd floor. The receptionist was very kind though, and helped to carry one of them, so no real complaints there. Really no complaints for this place, would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Oaxaca

The address is just perfect for walking around the city centre. Nothing is far. Shops, restaurants, open spaces, churches and museums. The staff were pleasant and the room, bigger than we imagined. We had comfortable corner room on the first floor with an excellent bed. It was also quiet so sleep was uninterrupted. There is a small inconvenience in driving to the hotel (or indeed most of the central properties): there is no permitted parking in the vicinity so we street parked 6 blocks away, and walked. On leaving, we noted there is a short-stop parking space in front of the hotel which permits unloading and loading of visitors and baggage.

The hotel offers an inclusive breakfast on the website. However, it is VERY basic and guests are told on arrival that they can choose from the a la carte menu - and practically everyone does - and pay the difference. While this is an okay gesture, it is a little misleading to imagine that the cost of a hotel room includes a decent breakfast which we have enjoyed in the past at a number of different hotels in the city. However, there are myriad options (for less costs?) in the neighbourhood so it is not the end of the world.

We were told on check-in that the previous guests had broken the toilet in the room and therefore our room was unavailable. The staff had booked us an alternative room of the same standard in a hotel one block away. We were delighted that the team did this instead of cancelling our room. With it being a very busy time in Oaxaca for Día de Muertos, we really appreciated the extra care and attention of the staff as it would have been difficult to source alternative accommodation. The member of the reception team even walked us to the new hotel and assisted with our luggage.

The location, staff and accomodations were excellent and exceeded my expectations. There was a small issue with the parking but the owner resolved it immediately! The breakfast was also superb I would come back here again.

I liked the historic architecture and the location in the historic center. The room was very spacious with handsome cabinets, a beautiful marble bathroom, and generous complimentary toiletries and bottled water. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were lovely. A very nice breakfast was included.

Our room was not ready until a half hour after the check in time. The registration staff didn't speak much English. We didn't care for the monotonous music playing constantly in the courtyard.

Great location, beautiful facility and close to the center of everything but on a quieter street. The terrace was lovely for morning yoga or a glass of wine. The staff were great and the breakfast was great too.

We had an interior room that had a window that faced an inner courtyard but not facing outside. I liked the solitude and the high-ceilings with exposed beams but for some people, not having a window looking outside may be a negative. However, the facility is like an old house but with modern conveniences

The property is centrally located. Walking distance to everything! Yet it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists. Outstanding food and customer service at the restaurant. Loved that the hotel had complimentary ice and clean drinking water machines to refill water bottles. The property is kept spotless! Super clean!

there is really nothing I did not like. The only thing I wish it would’ve had is a pool! We were there during very hot days and some other other hotels we heard about had pools. It would’ve been refreshing. Other than that, it’s a great hotel.

I had a fantastic room, with a big balcony overlooking the historical center. A rare if not unique feature in Oaxaca. It was spacious and comfortable and clean.

For a hotel charging this much, services are poor even if the staff is friendly. I could not get breakfast before 8 AM and tried to get some cereal and milk brought to my room the night before, but the hotel could not manage this kind of flexibility.

We would definitely stay here again. The hotel has the rustic, historic feel but with modern touches and amenities. The location was great. We felt very safe and the hotel was clean and had everything we needed.

The breakfast that was included was very basic, (cereal, fruit and beverage) however you can upgrade to a hot breakfast for a fee.

Excellent location, comfortable, clean, front desk staff helpful. Offers different options for breakfast on bottom level. Areas to relax in on each level, nice views from rooftop. Within walking distance to everything; walking streets, markets, sites. A range of restaurants with options of $$. This Hotel doesn’t organise tours and suggested to use a tour company a block over.

Worth noting if you are booking a reservation with breakfast and want to book tours! The day tours usually leave between 8am - 9am. Breakfast at Hotel is from 8- 3 BUT the staff start setting tables up at 8am. You will not get food until after this is done. Makes for a very rushed breakfast and start to the day.
