Exchanged messages before and during stay and received clear instructions what to do

We were in the top apartment so there are quite a lot of stairs to climb We had read there were a lot of stairs but did not appreciate exactly how many stairs. No issue for us, but just wanting to make it clear for others, to be prepared to climb a lot of stairs if you are in the top apartment. The good location has the downside that it can be noisy. Again, read this on the site, but didn't fully appreciate how much noise 'travelled' to the top floor. Would recommend the apartment, but you need to conscious of both the noise and stairs

In the heart of old town, everything is close to get to. Older building charm. The owner was so helpful, we checked in late and it was no problem. We had a bit of an issue with the bathroom sink and came as soon as we called to fix it.

Our apt was on a three floor walk up, the stairs are curved so with luggage was a bit challenging. We are here during the Fringe festival and as the location is a blessing because it is so close to everything it can get quite loud. But I’m sure if you are visiting another time it wouldn’t be as much of an issue and frankly doesn’t have anything to do with the apt owner.

Shower room was good and tiled nicely although the floor covering had bulged a little near shower. Linen all very clean and beds comfortable. Sitting room view was comfortable with a nice view over the square. Nice clean kitchen. Staff from key pick up helped get cases upstairs. All staff we met were helpful and friendly. There were 2nd pillows and duvet in our wardrobe which we used as bedrooms had heaters we could not figure out (but only 3 of us so they could have been meant for an extra bed if 6 stayed) Washing machine. Tea and coffee and long life milk sachets for a drink on arrival. Location is excellent for access to Royal Mile area. A bit noisy late at night when the bar next door closed. The front door access to the apartment is near the end of a narrow lane of a street that has a few late night bars. The windows of the apartment on the other side overlook a lovely small square which has cafes and bars and is opposite an Ibis hotel. Leave the entrance to the apartment walk left past the bar next door and you are at the Royal mile, turn right as you leave and walk down the lane to more entertainment. If you like rock music Banamans at the far end has live music. We enjoy rock music even though over 70 and with our 18 year granddaughter, this apartment was local to a few bars with rock music and we were made very welcome among a friendly staff a customers so had chosen well for location There are other pub venues too nearby and we had a meal in The Advocate in the square that we saw from our window. We also walked to New Town and ate and drank there. The entrance to the apartment looks unkempt as an overflowing bin had bags ripping next to it but work was being done on the frontage of the bar next door with scaffolding so may not always be like this. Bed base in one room was very scuffed and marked but pillows and pillow protectors were new and the rest very clean.

TV didn't work, bedrooms did not have blackout blinds, bedrooms were small. Cracked window in one bedroom, a high top of lounge window was poorly boarded which spoilt the look (could have been temporary awaiting a repair and didn't affect the view). Lots of stairs to 3rd floor (apartment 4) and no lift. Bedrooms cold at night and we couldn't figure out heating in bedrooms. Portable heater in lounge. Plates, cups etc were sparse and no small plates not mugs nor tea/coffee pot to make a larger tea or coffee.

Nice and clean apartment with everything you could need. Very central location and smooth check-in. Bed was comfortable, and extra cushions and blankets were made available. The two sofa beds in the living room can be used as optional beds. No lift but didn't bother us. Towels and bathroom products (bath soap shampoo availbale)

As soon as we opened the building door, there were a lot of smelly bin bags, which made the whole stairs corridor smell really, really bad. There is a £200 deposit to be paid in order to stay in the apartment on top of the booking cost. It is mentioned on the very bottom of the health and safety regulations after all the covid-19 regulations. (We discovered it through the message they sent us after the booking)

The location was superb. It was just 10 mins from the Central Station and walking distance to practically all the tourist hotspots. It was easy to get the keys. The guy was very friendly and even offered to take our luggage up to the unit.

The steep and narrow staircase is quite a workout if you have heavy luggage. There were noises coming from pub goers that last till early morning (5am!) but it was not that bad considering we were often too tired from our daily walks.

Location is excellent, noise is not too bad because I have 2 bedrooms, so my kids were on the quiet side then I took the noisy side, so it's not too bad. The flat that we occupied is just excellent, we have a very clean, bright , huge living room with TV, dining table , chairs, very nice couch. We have a good size kitchen, very clean, with fridge , oven, toaster , with essential stuff in the kitchen. there was no lift but at least a superb flat for the family to stay while in Ednburgh.

Just too high to take the winding stairs without lift.

Very well located, very clean, spacious accommodations, economical, easy to get to from the station, though mind which way you go or you end up carrying luggage up long stair alleyways!

It was at the top of a windy staircase which was a little hard to navigate but that’s Edinburgh for you! We managed just fine anyway, was worth the climb. The bedroom could use a way to make the skylight darker, was quite bright for sleeping during the night in the summer.

The apartment is very well located right in the middle of the city where all the tourist attractions are. It was very cosy and comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet place maybe not the best option but definitely a great location for tourists.

There was no elevator which was a bit tough for my elderly mother in law. She nevertheless really liked the apartment :)

Good sized apartment in a great location right off the Royal Mile. Very clean apartment with nice rooms and big windows.

The drunks and police activity across the street from the apartment. I was a bit concerned when I was waiting outside the pizza place for the key. For future renters, note, the gentleman that owns the pizza place owns the whole building. He came outside and gave me the key after he took pictures of my passport. (I don't like it, but he requires it.) The stairs are steep, but we didn't mind. We were able to manage them.

The location is very good, even in a rainy day, you can easily go to Childhood Museum, Surgeon Hall Museum or access to nearby street foods from Tempting Tatties, The Haggis Box, or Piemarker. Plenty of sleeping spaces, good internet connection.

The small and high stairs are not easy for everyone, the TV is quite old, can’t connect to other devices
