Location great (once you found it 😂) efficient polite staff, exceptional breakfast, bright quiet room and good shower room

Difficult to find - not hotel’s fault but the endless construction that is Stuttgart

Mirage City Hotel Stuttgart is conveniently within a 5 minute walk from the Stuttgart Main Train station. The staff was friendly and easily accommodated to either my attempts to speak German, or if that didn't work English. The rooms were very clean and the bedroom and bathroom furnishings modern. Breakfast with a good selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, rolls, salamis, cheese, coffee, and fruit juices was worth the extra 15 euros.

There is presently a lot of construction going on in Stuttgart and the pedestrian passageways which wind around the construction sites can lead you in a completely different direction than you intended to go. Although the hotel is fairly close to the Train station, I ended up taking 10 minutes walks in 3 different directions before I finally found it. I arrived in the late morning before normal check in time and the staff cleaned the room and let me check in earlier than they had initially said. However, they did not leave an upper bed sheet, something I didn't notice until I was ready to go to bed that evening. I also thought it strange that the bedspread was for a single bed rather than the larger bed in the room.

Bathroom was pretty nice and clean! Stuff was pretty kind and friendly. Location is perfect. 5 minutes walking from the train main station. You can go by stairs to the hotel and if you are not into stairs, you can go around and walk about 4-5 minutes longer. And you can go to the center for about 10-15 minutes on foot.

Room wasn't in good condition. It was clean on the first look, but there's was no general light in the room and we needed to go far into room to turn on the light. And switch from one lamp was literally broken. There was something sticky below the bed and I was barely able to wash it from my hand. My part of bed was uncomfortable and ready to be recycled, but other part was okay.

We stayed in two different rooms due to adding on a day to our visit. The first one was a cheaper one and a bit dated, but still fine. The second one, a bit more expensive but quite reasonable, is really nice--very roomy, bright, and up-to-date. Breakfast is simple but good. They made us eggs to order one morning and had some yummy muesli, as well as a selection of meats and cheeses and breads, yogurt, etc. A spacious breakfast room. The clerks are friendly and helpful.

The only thing we really did not like was the see-through door to the bathroom in the cheap room (first floor). I have never stayed in a hotel where someone in the bedroom could clearly see the person using the toilet or shower. And there was little in the way of temperature control in the cheap room, so we got too warm at night. The second room (second floor), however, was great.

I liked the location: very near train station & restaurants. Nice and clean. I liked the shower. Guled, the desk clerk, was exceptionally helpful, kind, thoughtful and interesting. I would stay there again.

The bed felt like it sloped and that I could slide out if I didn’t hug the wall. The first couple of desk clerks didn’t know that I could charge my phone from the tv set. So I spent the morning going to Starbucks, the public library and cafes looking for a place to charge my iPhone. Complete waste of a few hours when it could have been charged overnight while I slept.

The hotel was in excellent proximity to the train station. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was a great value for the price. We arrived for the European Championships, and the hotel was the perfect easy stay for the match!

There is no A/C in the room, which is fairly common in Germany, and the room did come with a fan (so we were fine, but this might be a concern for those visiting later in summer). Google maps will tell you to reach the hotel via several flights of stairs, but there is another route up the next street that is a slope instead. :)

When viewed from the outside tucked up a little side street Mirage City Hotel Stuttgart Zentrum looks non -descript but just like the Tardis once inside a whole new world opens up. The reception staff were attentive, well spoken, enthusiastic, polite and friendly. Although we only stayed one night the room was excellent. Spacious and comfortable and excellent value for money. Onsite car parking was ten euros per day. The location is excellent and just a few minutes easy walk from the main railway station and main centre of town (opposite the railway station). A hotel this good, at this price so close to the city is a real bonus. All in an excellent facility.

Welcoming and informative reception staff. Very clean entrance and corridor to the room. The room was well appointed and modern, also very clean and well maintained. Usually one night tells the story and this ticked the boxes for longer stays.

Lacking in room tea/coffee facility but not unusual in Europe. As the train station was close as with the city centre I didn't see this as a negative.

The hotel is on a quiet street in a very accessible central location. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and breakfasts were excellent with hot fresh bread and croissants and a good selection of cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit and yogurt, coffee and lots of different teas etc. Our room was comfortable and well equipped and good value for money, a spacious en-suite bathroom, tv, fan, safe and a nice choice of lighting. Everything was in good working order. An excellent budget hotel, we will definitely stay there again. There is also a bar on the ground floor also but we didn’t visit it, and 24/7 vending machines for drinks.

The location is great - the train station is just 7 min of walk. Our room was quite spacious, furniture has its age but in a very good condition, everything is clean starting from bedsheets and ending in the bathroom. WiFi was so fast we could calmly work, we also had a desk in our room. We paid extra 11 euros for breakfast which offered us a variety of cheeses, sausages, yoghurts, jams, sauces, cereals and sweet sauces, fruits, pickled veggies and salmon. A very nice lady offered us an omelette with bacon which were cooked specially for us, and a pot of freshly made coffee. It is definitely worth it! We’d consider this hotel for our next stay for sure!
