Selina’s level of comfort and cleanliness is always amazing. The facilities are fresh, always functional and aesthetically beautiful. Beds are comfy and shower is super spacious. Also great location to explore Casco Viejo, you can walk to anywhere in the old town. Wifi is very stable.

None of these things were issues to me but worth pointing out in case other people need to consider. Selina is turning into a rich/clicky place with lots of travellers who are ok with overpriced stuff and Instagramable places so the vibe is not the friendly vibe of smaller and simpler hostels. If you are looking for that, might not be the best stay. Club downstairs makes it difficult for those who are not used to earplugs. Super expensive food inside the facilities. Staff is very straightforward and get things done but not warmly welcoming. Overall super funcional place but not a place to call “home”.

I have stayed there already and I like the place, in the middle of the city centre and really nice people to meet. There is something always happening on the rooftop.

The kitchen had many cockroaches, when you turn on the stove they came really scary and disgusting :( Hope you can do something about it cause it's not a cheap place.

The rootftop is awesome, and the activities that are handled by hotel staffing are cool and a good moment to interact with other people. Panamean breakfast is recommended

Hostel was great! I had a private room that was clean and had it's own AC that I could control. Shared restroom was good, very good water pressure in the shower. Rooftop bar was really nice as well and food was at a good price. Drinks were around $10 each which for the area is a bit pricy. Also, my flight was an overnight and I landed at 5am and got to the hostel at 6am and they let me check in at that time because my room was vacant and clean. Nice! On checkout, they also have a locked room you can store your luggage in until you need to leave that will allow you to check out by 11am but not have to drag your luggage all over the city until you are ready to leave. Pool on rooftop bar was pretty nice and had great views of the ocean and city.

Coffee shop on second floor is out of business.

The place is generally not suitable for people after the age of 30 who want a hotel. It feels like a student residence with loud student parties on the roof and lots of young people coming to party. An excellent place for young people who want to hang out and not pay a lot of money. and location is good.

The rooms are very simple, at first I got a room without a shower and toilet and I asked to move. I had a private room on the fifth floor under the roof, there was a very loud party there until 2 am I couldn't sleep. The place is very simple experience it's not a hotel it's a hostel you need to understand that.

I had a private room and it was exactly as described. Plenty of space in the room, air con was functional. Location was central too.

It turns into a party hotspot for a lot of people not staying in the hotel - there’s a rooftop bar and then basement club. So a lot of youth mostly just in and around it over the weekend. Therefore didn’t really feel typical to accommodations. As other posters have said it’s loud. I was there on Friday and Saturday night and on the floor immediately under the rooftop. That being said I had earplugs and was coming from an exhausting few weeks so managed sleep just fine. If you want to party then it would be perfect. The walking tour was a bit basic tbh. He barely described buildings or much of history besides Panama Canal.

The rooms are great, the place was good and the ambience and ground floor bar were awesome. Welcome drink and extra activities provided made it a great experience. Clean hotel either on public places and the dorms.

Not a good place to stay during the weekend if you actually plan to sleep. Friday and Saturday they had an electronic party at the rooftop up to 2am .. Was told at reception during the evening that towels were a $3 deposit and $2 rental cost, then at checkout during the morning was only given back $2 ... Should have all prices in a more public/visible way to avoid this kind of issues.

Loved the two bedroom/two bath apt. Very cute. The bakery on the 1st floor was great to start off the morning and the covered rooftop bar and grill was perfect for a stormy evening when we didn't want to venture out into the rain. Loved that there were options for entertainment like the pool table, walking tours or salsa lessons though we didn’t take advantage of any. Location was walkable and fairly central to Casco Viejo.

Cleaning could have been a little more thorough. Some upgrades are needed like the toilet roll holders are broken and there is no A/C in the common space, which made it unbearable to be in. We really had to be in just the bedrooms.

We had a blast hanging out at Selina’s rooftop, so when our flight was cancelled we knew we wanted to stay there for our extra night, and we wish we were there the whole time. Extremely comfy bed, clean room with great amenities! Amazing location!

Our room wasn’t ready well past the time of check in, luckily there were couches and a common area to hang out in since we were exhausted! We understand that when numerous people check in at the same time, it can set some things back! Only saying this so anyone can be prepared :) they let you store your bags, so go explore Casco Viejo, or go hangout at the pool

Staff were incredibly friendly and professional, made me feel at home (from Ketzara & front desk team, Laura/Johnny & restaurant staff understanding of my dietary needs, cleaning personnel kept things spotless & always smiling/good vibes, and Rosario always putting coffee on for me in the cowork.

Sometimes common kitchen was messy or hard to find the right utensils. Loud noise Friday and Saturday nights but that's expected (rooftop still a great place to meet people and make friends)
