Loved the scenery and the pool and swimming Dam. The horses and donkeys were lovely to greet in the mornings and the breakfast was really lovely for the price. The town of Stanford wasn't too far away and offered a great little choice of cafe's and restaurants also.
The room wasn't as nice as we hoped with the price but still a cute cottage vibe. We only had a bath which could have really done with a shower head so we didn't have to fill it every time we wanted a quick clean. The mini fridge was broken so kept freezing our drinks. The use of sauna and steam room wasn't included with the stay which we thought should have been advertised better.

Amazing stay. Kind and attentive staff, great views and incredible food in the restaurant. Lots of wildlife on the property and a Beautiful pool area. Good spa treatments at reasonable prices. Great MTB trials, though be advised you need to bring your own bike and the closest rental shop is in Hermanus.
No airconditioning was problematic given the heat, and we didn’t want to leave windows open at night as they had no screens for bugs. The pool area could use a bar (or honesty bar) for drinks or at least cold water, as every time we wanted a drink we had to walk balk up to the main lodge.

This was my third stay, and it is a firm favourite. Everything about Stanford Valley Guest Lodge is wonderful; the welcome bottle of bubbly in our room, the location, the facilities, the food, the decor and the staff, who are all delightful, helpful and interested in the comfort and happiness of their guests. Our spa treatment was also excellent. We are already looking forward to our next stay there! We also just loved the beautiful new pool facility.

Stanford Valley Lodge / Ouhuis will forever be etched into my heart for an amazing experience from beginning to end. Nothing was too difficult, everything was flexible, it was seamless. Outside of the location being magnificent, Chef Janine and her team delivered on memorable foods. I loved the food, and everyone in our party was very complimentary of the food. Homely and delicious. The attention to detail in service and care with which the staff operated was just awesome. The culture of your team is just amazing.

Beautiful setting. Attention to detail. Art lover's paradise. Lovely walking trails. Restaurant five star quality and not too pricey. Great wine selection. Attentive and friendly service
I expected a bit more amenities in the room e.g. a shower, two lounge chairs and a TV would have been nice. The firewood for the internal heater was too wet to get the fire going

Very well appointed. Plenty of space and lovely views. Maybe a couple of loungers / easy chairs on the deck would be nice to relax in when the settee is taken by others in the group. Hot tub was fun. Good walks and a nice pool nearby plus a big dam to swim in. Our age group 16-85 all enjoyed it.

Breathtaking setting and beautiful views from the room, our patio and restaurant. Rooms well designed and decorated. Coffee in the room with real milk in the fridge, plus the delicious rusks. Quiet, farm like atmosphere but stylish and without the working farm noises. We loved the pool which is glorious and cleverly designed to be protected from wind, pool area and surrounding gardens, amazing. Restaurant food is very good and portions are not skimpy. It is closed on Mon and Tues for dinner but there are other good options in town or in Hermanus to try.
The beautiful pool area could have been attended to better by the cleaning staff. The restaurant service "upselling" we experienced both at dinner and breakfast we felt was unnecessary.

My husband and I spent a long weekend on the farm and were blown away by its beauty. We stayed at one of the Fynbos rooms which were spacious with stylish interior design and a stunning mountain view. The rusks provided in the room are home-baked, there was always fresh milk in the fridge, the beauty products in the bathroom smelled like Lavender and Citrus Oils - high attention for detail everywhere you looked. Also, the farm harvests their own water! We booked Massage/Mani and Pedi and were able to use the SPA including the sauna rooms and cold water pool with mountain views afterwards alone. The treatments were done by the most professional staff and were superb. The owners and staff were very friendly and hospitable. If you want to take a swim, the farm has their own dam as well as a newly built pool with warm water. The Farm restaurant served amazing food - we enjoyed our morning coffees on the house! Dinner and Breakfasts were just lovely there. Daily activities in the area included hiking in the Phillipskop Mountain Reserve, kayaking on Klein River and exploring the Walker Bay Nature Reserve close to Hermanus. The wine farms in the area invite for a wholesome fresh farm lunch/dinner and wine tastings on the way. We cannot wait to come back! THANK YOU!

The view from our room was amazing! Lovely place to stay where everything was simple but wonderfully executed. The food was really delicious and the menus small but very tasty. The staff were so delightful and more than happy to help. We loved the swimming pool area to relax and ensuring the surroundings for a walk around the mountains. Thank you!
Not much to report but a kids breakfast menu or half portion/price option would have been appreciated as meant lots of food wastage from our 3year as the portions were large.

What an awesome location! The staff were amazingly friendly, dinner at Manor House - WOWWWW!! Room was spacious and we loved the outdoor shower. The small touch a little bottle of sparkling wine in fridge was also so nice. We had an amazing massage at the spa. Pool is smartly tucked away so it’s safe from windy days! A really great getaway. We will be back again.
