Overall, we really liked the hotel, especially as it is a resort offering a wide range of facilities and dining options. We had a great time at the funhouse and swimming pool, and thoroughly enjoyed the entertaining shows in the Cairngorm Suite, as well as the fireworks. There was plenty to keep us entertained throughout our stay.

We were somewhat disappointed with the room. While the bathroom had been recently renovated, the drainage in both the sink and shower was clogged, resulting in very slow water flow. Upon our arrival, we also noticed that the carpet was covered in ashes and crumbs, I had to borrow a hoover from the reception to tidy up the floor. Other than these issues, we were happy with our stay.

Nice hotel great locations

The beds need attention I asked for toppers on all our beds and only the double had one I think this should be standard in a 4* hotel. Would make such a difference, rooms could do with a wee upgrade hasn’t changed since I was a kid.

Lovely hotel, facilities and surroundings.

Everything was lovely but a couple of small things were being vegan and gluten free the healthy food options were limited. The pillows were very large and a bit uncomfortable

We love this dog friendly hotel, excellent facilities swimming pool and gym, dining is perfect with great food and a fantastic range of choices at both breakfast and dinner, the location of this hotel is fantastic with plenty of on site parking, and loads to do in the area. the lounge and bar area are also lovely warm and welcoming, what does make this hotel stand out from others in the area is the staff from the cleaner to the reception, the bar and restaurant staff all excellent and so helpful and friendly this is the 4th year in a row we have been coming and will be coming again next year very happy customers

needed an interpreter for the swimming pool attendant as he was from Liverpool ha ha. seriously he was also a breath of fresh air with his banter and so helpful, i genuinely cant fault this hotel and such a fantastic price for DBB the room was lovely and big, we travel around Scotland a lot on holiday and this ticks all the right boxes and we would certainly highly recommend a stay here.

The buffet dinner was excellent value and really yummy. We ate there both nights. Loved the pool and comfy seating in the foyer and bar area. Fantastic location to access the Ski fields

Excellent location. You can cycle from the hotel straight into the Caledonian forest and yet it’s only a few minutes from Aviemore. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the ‘family vibe’ was lovely for people with children. Ours are grown up now but the children we saw were having a lovely time using the various facilities. They were also welcome at the bar in the evening which meant the whole family could relax together at the end of a busy day.

Some of the fixtures and fittings in the rooms are tired but they all worked and I’m not fussy. Absolutely fine for the price point.

The moment I saw the entrance I knew it was a good hotel. Liked the layout of the reception and lobby area, liked how it had an inside heated pool area with a sauna, very clean hotel.

I was a little disappointed with the buffet selection. There weren't as many options as I had hoped for. It felt somewhat limited, especially for the price £25.00 per person. I would have appreciated a wider variety of dishes. Hopefully, they'll expand their offerings in the future. The snow in the car park area, also to get out, very slippery, would of expected a regular ice/snow cleaning for that, just due to the amount of guests that got semi stuck.

The location is perfect for exploring the Cairngorms. The lobby bar area is large, comfortable and welcoming. The staff we came across were all very good but the place is clearly short staffed. The rooms could do with a general refurb but we appreciated the extra space afforded by the family room, which is essentially 2 rooms. The food at the woodshed bar was good, the buffet less so but ok for the price. Breakfast was ok but just ok. Overall we enjoyed it, it was decent value for money and would return.

The beds weren't the comfiest, neither were the pillows. Cleanliness in some of the public areas could do with attention, although I appreciate we were there right at the end of a very busy festive season and they were struggling for staff. The place needs some upgrading, especially the rooms and public area toilets.

Hotel was very well laid out, clean and lots of things to keep the kids entertained. Pool was great and staff were all very friendly. We had breakfast here and everything was nice. Lots of choice.

There could have been some more staff on reception and at the bar. There was always a queue. Staff always apologised for the wait, not there fault though. Also everything is cashless, we would like an option to use cash. There were arcade games for the kids but we had no where to change our notes. There was a change machine there but it was out of order. Even just keeping some cash at reception for this purpose. We found it funny as there were tip jars but as we had to use card we had no change to put in it, which we would have if we had used cash.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast super. So good to see the hotel is being refurbished and coming to life again. Good it has a good relationship with the timeshare again. We have had a timeshare in the grounds for many many years so we have seen it change good and bad over the years. Refurbishing the pool is fantastic thank you. We booked in as we could not travel home due to the weather conditions

Dark colours in the corridors where the room was. Needs to be brighter. Two young Scottish men kept knocking the door at 12.30 am ……..I did not answer. They kept knocking and asking Olivia to have a drink ! I was going to ring to reception but did not want to put a light on or make a noise. In the end they went away. I I mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning, she said there was an Olivia staying I asked that they kept an eye on her If there are cameras in the corridors would a night reception member of staff not see them. I thought it was very odd
