Excellent room was lovely and very comfortable and nicely decorated. Everything was very clean. The staff were very chatty and friendly. The parking was perfect as was the location and I loved my view from the window looking out to the train station.
The room was on the cold side for me and I had to sleep in 2 jumpers on top of my pyjamas. It would have been nice if there was a non-dairy/plant based milk option in the room for the tea/coffee. On leaving the staff were very friendly but did not ask me if everything had been ok.

We’ve stayed a number of times and love the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our bedroom had a really large comfortable bed, great shower and very clean. Breakfast bacon rolls were yummy!
We’d stay more often if the bar was dog friendly. It’s strange as you well behaved dogs can stay at the hotel and you can sit with them in the lobby area but you cannot take them into the public bar which is odd. Each night of our stay someone walked into the bar with a dog and was asked to leave. Real shame in this is located in a very outdoor, dog friendly part of the world. Cairngorm Hotel, please reconsider your bar policy?

Delicious food, both at breakfasts and in the evenings. Lovely friendly, hardworking staff, big shout out to Ann and Jerry, both a credit to the team. Fabulous location. A beautiful hotel. A piper each evening is a lovely touch. Can't wait to come back.
Menu restrictive on a long stay, we ate out alternate nights, so this didn't actually become an issue. First come, first served dining is awful, I do feel residents should be able to book ahead if desired. Housekeeping staff are chatty and loud. They woke us most mornings. All staff need name badges. Saturday night was horrendous; a wedding party took over the reception area for a good few hours, we were made to feel uncomfortable coming and going to our room as the stairs had become seating. Couldn't hear myself think. The management really needs to think when booking in weddings at the expense of the comfort and enjoyment of the paying staying guests.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of the town and opposite the train station. Aviemore is a very cute small town so it is easy to walk everywhere and the views of the Cairngorms is breath-taking. Everyone we spoke to in the hotel, around town and in the general area were just so lovely. The rooms were decorated with tartan checks and so cosy, great shower and bed and pillows were super comfy. The general feel of the hotel was so warm and welcoming. Breakfast was very good, really loved the haddock and poached egg, it was cooked to perfection. The staff were all very friendly, serving breakfast with a smile, those behind the front desk were all incredibly helpful and in particular a massive shout out to the bar staff; they really were very fabulous and friendly with fantastic banter and humour. The music every night was so good and the musicians were brilliant and very interactive. On the last night my husband was feeling poorly so unfortunately we didn't get a chance to say goodbye but thank you guys for making our stay so so good :-) We really loved our time here so much, thank you to ALL of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable xxx
It was perfect here, I can't fault a thing.

Good location to explore Cairngorms National Park. My room was a little cramped - the bed took up most of the room, so if you have a lot of luggage it would be a bit of a squeeze. Breakfast was really good, staff were very friendly - they very kindly carried my suitcase up two flights of stairs as there's no lift.
My room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking the carpark, so you got the lights shining up into the room and some noise from the bar downstairs. Some blackout curtains would assist with the light. Couldn't do much about the noise from the bar, but it went quiet around 11pm/12am so it wasn't too bad.

Rooms were very cosy and equipped with everything you could need! Even with the snow outside the rooms were always warm and my partner and I never felt chilly. Staff were so lovely, we had tea in the restaurant and the staff seemed very busy but were still very accommodating and kind. The food in the hotel is superb!! We had a lovely meal with generous portion sizes! The breakfast was included and was a very good hotel breakfast! The location of the hotel is perfect for walking around Aviemore. The shops and other restaurants are within walking distance. There are many other areas around the hotel that are easily accessible by bus or car if you want to explore. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to friends and family.

Loved the lady at the reception, she was gracious, friendly and professional. The whole hotel was nice. Restaurant was also clean and service is super and food was amazing so much better than 5* restaurants in London.
I loved the hotel, however the heating kept going off middle of the night and having my elderly mother with join issues made it extremely difficult. I had to call the reception and he said it’s on a timer and will take it off. Second night it happened again and I had to call again, we wanted to extend for another third night but because we felt it will happen again we decided to check out on the planned date.

Breakfast was perfect. All breakfast staff were exceptional, making us feel very welcome and remembering details from previous days. Nothing was too much trouble, even providing us with a couple of bacon rolls on our day of departure as we didn’t have time for breakfast. All staff were welcoming and helpful. Comfy, clean bed. Plenty of hot water for shower. Brilliant location.
Found hangers in wardrobe difficult but a light in the wardrobe would help. Would have preferred a slightly larger TV. We opted to only have room serviced midweek which was absolutely fine. The only problem we had was washing tea cups in bathroom in the interim. It would have been useful to have somewhere to put dirty cups and pick up clean ones. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times, but as it is very popular we had to wait (this is made clear though). It would be nice to have a couple of ‘specials’ each evening in addition to the regular menu, especially as we stayed for a week. We dined at other local restaurants though that were very good and no distance at all.

Having visited Aviemore since the late 70s this was actually or first stay in this beautiful hotel, A very well run hotel, staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble, my wife and I both enjoyed the breakfast , a varied selection of porridge, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast and a wonderful Scottish breakfast, I overheard one guest asking for a fried egg roll which was no trouble. The evening meal we had in the restaurant was also excellent, my wife having the beer battered fish and chips while I had the steak, ale and mushroom pie which was very tasty indeed
Nothing !

Booking Cairngorm hotel was a last minute trip. They had one economy room left which after I'd booked it informed me that it could be noisy as it was located above the busy public bar. However the quality and presentation of the room was really superior and better than some 5 star rooms we have stayed in...well appointed and comfortable. Moreover although there was a packed bar and live singer (which we'd enjoyed ourselves in the bar) we could hardly hear it when we retired to bed. Sinèad was really helpful and arranged for us to put our e bikes in a locked storeroom overnight. Fantastic service.
