We had an issue with the physical key in the lock for our room, and the staff went above and beyond to help and make it right. I don’t consider this event a negative. It’s a charming older building (that is still updated) with these small hiccups. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely nice. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. I was disappointed I slept through the first days visit as I was recovering from jet lag.

This has NOTHING to do with the hotel, I just wish the sidewalk on the main road went to the little turnoff for the hotel. We were there for a wedding down the road, and while I felt safe walking at night (less cars), I felt like it was better to take the walk along the lake during the day to be away from the traffic. While beautiful it was a bit longer. Again, this was not an issue with the hotel, just something to keep in mind if you do not have transportation. We also took the train from Milan and that was a bit more challenging than I anticipated. I was not familiar with the routes or the stops. It would be helpful to coordinate a taxi ride with the hotel ahead of time to get from the station to the hotel.

The staff were all friendly, professional and very helpful, particularly at the front desk. The lakeside location is the highlight! We swam in the lake and the pool. There are kayaks, paddle boards and bikes to rent. (Also, a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room). The walking path along the lake is wonderful and it’s a lovely 10-15 minute stroll to several very good restaurants in Pettanasco. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. There is a beautiful dining room for dinner, and four-star restaurant was an unexpected bonus, as was the live music on Sunday nights.

No complaints at all.

Stunning location overlooking the lake and mountain, our room was clean and spacious, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is definitely quite dated but kept quite clean so I didn’t find it to be too much of an issue. Personnel were very friendly and helpful! We didn’t use the swimming pool or any facilities so no comments on that.

It was not very pleasant to see cheap instant coffee in the room in a 4 star hotel in Italy. Food for breakfast was ok and not very varied, mostly from packed commercial stuff.

Great leisure facilities with outdoor swimming pool and being right on the lake for easy access and rental of SUP and other things. Nice walk by the lake into the nearest town (15 minutes but take a torch). Breakfast buffet with lots of options. Restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. There are a few (maybe three?) places to eat in town but suggest you book. The external restaurant we went to (lake side of the main road) was OK but quite brisk service and charged us for mineral water we never received. Our room was big and the bathroom with shower was too.

There was no curtain/blind in the bathroom and even though it was fairly protected with the road and steep mountainside facing the bathroom it was a little uncomfortable. Breakfast was a little chaotic (because of number of guests). Might be good to ask people to pick a time slot in advance? Clearer signage to the lake pathway would be good. Lots of noise from people walking past in the corridor but maybe this is them being loud.

Fantastic open air 30m pool beside the lake - swim in either, an idyllic setting. Modern very spacious hotel, large veranda with lake view. Extensive breakfast buffet including all the barista coffee you can drink. Very clean, tightly run, staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of free car parking on site. Municipal boat ferry calls at the hotel jetty.

There’s nothing to dislike about this hotel!

The junior suite was infact a room with a added mezzanine which squeaked horribly and had very narrow stairs which were difficult to navigate especially at night as the bathroom was downstairs. The air conditioner was not high enough for the mezzanine so while the downstairs room was cool the mezzanine with the bed was hot and airless. No milk provided for coffee/tea.

Spacious room on the second floor, with large balcony overlooking the pool & lake. Rooms have been renovated to a good standard. Plenty of room around the pool with lots of comfy loungers dotted on the adjoining lawn. Great little access to the lake. The restaurant was superb with friendly and helpful staff (but make sure to reserve table!)

The bathroom was, let's say, compact. There was no lift in our part of the hotel, but 2 flights of stairs were still just manageable.

Lovely hotel located on the edge of Lake Orta. Friendly helpful staff, easy check in, ample car parking. The room we were given was probably the best room in the hotel, immediately above the boat jetty, with an uninterrupted view across the lake and surrounding villages. A very quiet and peaceful stay, with good breakfast choices and plentiful good quality food. Excellent A La Cart restaurant.

Fantastic location with lake view, great to have the option to swim in the pool or lake which is easily accessed from the 'beach' area. Food in the restaurant was superb and staff are really helpful.

I think that the pool loungers could do with updating, a lot of them were broken (though useable) and some padded cushioning would make quite a difference in terms of comfort. Swimming caps were compulsory for pool use which could be bought at the hotel for 5 euros (or local supermarkets for less) but it would have been good to know this before so we could have brought our own. Perhaps I missed this communication.

Staff were fantastic our room had a lovely balcony and had a fantastic view. Swimming pool and outside areas were excellent. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice. The restaurant was lovely once again with a great view and the service was very good. The food was good but we were there a week and had we eaten there daily we would have run out of choice.

Our room air conditioning did not work we had a unit provided but it was very noisy and could not be left on at night. It was repaired on the penultimate day of the holiday and the difference was enormous it was quiet and very efficient. WE were given a 10% discount on the room but would have preferred the room air conditioning.
