We much preferred this hotel to L’Approdo where we last stayed when we visited Orta. We were here as a large group celebrating a 70th birthday, ages ranged from 7-70. The location is really fantastic and rooms comfortable. The Lunch menu and food was excellent- we ate there several times. Considering the location I think the hotel is really good value for money. We all had a very enjoyable time.

Possibly could do with a few more members of staff- especially outside by the lake and pool area. Someone coming round to take drink orders would make it perfect and I think the hotel would make a lot of money in the process! Better scrambled eggs at breakfast would be appreciated but very good apart from that.

The position right on the lake was gorgeous. The food was exceptional and well-priced for the quality as well as fantastic staff who were always friendly and helpful. We had a room with balcony overlooking the lake and would definitely recommend a lakeside room- the view is so uplifting

The only downside is that getting around is not easy without a car. We managed to get buses and taxis but buses are not very frequent.

Not enough beds at the lake deck. Attitude of staff at roof terrace when we went there. Reception told us booking was not necessary (which we prefer) but we were made to feel like we were an inconvenience to them at the roof terrace as we didn’t have a booking.

Excellent location with a nice view. Relatively large (for Italy) comfortabel superior rooms with balcony. Excellent restaurant with a nice wine list offering traditional Italian dishes with a modern twist. Amazing roof top bar and good cocktails. Friendly and professional staff. Enjoyed swimming both in the pool and the lake. Excellent quality /price certainly for this region of Italy

Lovely location and balcony view. Excellent dinners with well trained and attentive staff. Good breakfasts. Comfortable bed. Clean room.

Key Facilities ( roof top terrace and swimming pool) were closed due to « end of season » but these seasonal closures were not specified in the listing of the hotel’s facilities prior to our booking the hotel - this was very disappointing and misleading

1. Breakfast - they put sugar in the scrumbled eggs.WHY?? 2. Breakfast - there are NO vegetables at all!!! 3. Dinner - only one menu of weird and EXTREAMLY EXPENSIVE food. Expensive and yet in small amounts!! 4. They don't have any kind of bar menu like pizza, club sandwitch, etc.

Great location right on the lakeside. We had the superior double room, which is a good size and well-appointed. It's a bit outdated, but the view from the balcony was amazing! The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very good, with excellent service. Breakfast was good, too, with a variety. It was a wonderful view to start the day with.

Higher-end toiletries would be nice.

Beautiful property, right on the water. View of the water also from the bed. Excellence staff. Delicious food for breakfast and a chef's restaurant. Really excellent. Recommended.

The location should only be reached by car. The levels in the shower could be problematic and slippery. Otherwise, just great!

All I can say is wow !! Our room was fabulous from the decor and the comfortable beds to the awe inspiring views from our balcony. I didn't want to leave. There was such an array of foods for breakfast and they made the very best omelette that I have ever tasted. The views from all the restaurants are breathtaking especially the Rooftop restaurant. Wonderful pool and deck area rounded out our perfect stay.

The room with balcony overlooking the lake gave us a magnificent view. Superb location when in the hotel. ~Great to be able to access the lake and it's towns via the boat. Really comfortable bed.

The size of the room was fine until it was cold and rainy - then felt a bit small for the chairs for 2 people. The location was marred by not having any safe pavements to walk out from the hotel.
