The room was really nice, great services most days bed was made and towels replaced by cleaners. They emptied out bins etc. room was super spacious plenty of room to do some exercises etc in the morning.

Only down side was that it has basic amenities so need to eat out etc and sort own food but that wasn't a problem as the location was superb with lots of options around. I'd also say would of been nice to have a standard kettle opposed to the coffee machine as if we wanted hot water we had to try use an old coffee pod to trick it into giving us the hot water.

Great staff, excellent location, clean room, amazing view from our window, I would choose it again! Not a luxurious hotel, but fair deal, not missing anything. No breakfast served in the hotel, leading me however to discover nearby bagel shops and wonderful bakeries, cafes and dessert places. A true "aroma" of multinational Manhattan, covers the area. By the way, within waking distance from Brooklyn Bridge and other area landmarks. In spite of what we had been told, the subway worked very well for us and stations are extremely close to the hotel.

Beautifully clean rooms, new modern showers. Great location, near Metro so access was great.

The man at reception was unfriendly and unwelcoming, and he was there most of the time. The females had a better approach to guests.

Good location in Chinatown, close to the underground station. Clean, good sized room with great view. Nice and large bathroom with clean towels. Coffee machine and TV in the room, as well as a safe to keep your valuables.

For 3 persons we were given 2 beds and they were really big enough for one person and not a couple, so it was a bit small for 2 persons to sleep on the bed, would definitely not recommend for 2 people to share this bed. Doors to the room are really strange as there is quite a gap on the sides so you can hear everything from the hallway.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. The room clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was great having Air con in the room which was very much needed due to heatwave during our visit. The shower was excellent and some toiletries provided also. Safe in room also. Choice of channels on TV excellent. Location was good, directly opposite manhattan bridge and canal street has plenty of shops and restaurants. Subway stations about a 10 minute walk away.

View from room not great, back of a billboard and air conditioning unit. However we were out and about most of the day so not a huge issue. Broken sofa in room with legs splayed out, potential risk of tripping over but we managed to avoid fortunately! A lot of homeless people around the bridge entrance and one man in a wheelchair outside the hotel, not an issue for us but worth pointing out. We never had any issues and anyone we met that was homeless we’re always friendly.

Clean and presentable. Great for its price. There’s a Water and ice machine downstairs you can use to keep refilling (The water was clean). Quiet inside the rooms.

Not really a con for me but i would say to some only con was in the hallway you can hear in people rooms if loud enough.

Room was big by New Pork standards with double aspect windows so light and sunny during our stay. Coffee was excellent and machine easy to use. Staff were very friendly and recommended a very good diner just down the road on Bowery.

Taxi booked by the hotel to take us to JFK was not good, chinese chatter on radio the whole journey and driver was not happy to take a credit card payment. Wanted my passport to photograph and got his boss to verify my card. No card reader in the car and receipt I was eventually given had no clear writing on it. NOT blaming the hotel, just check first if booking with them

The location was perfect. The Grand St subway stop was an easy walk, as was Soho, Little Italy and the Lower East Side. Staff was helpful and friendly, particularly the night staff. Rooms were basic but comfortable and clean. The towels were thick and fluffy and the shower water was relatively hot.

The rooms are very dated, there are no pictures on the wall and only a space where a small refrigerator had been. The hotel has no amenities such as restaurant, bar, spa and a very small cramped lobby.

The room was exactly like the pictures, very clean and comfortable beds. We were sharing in 3 people and there was enough room to move around and a nice view! It's a simple hotel, but good enough for a few days when you are out most of the day. The only issue we had was that the heater in the room was not working, but they did bring extra blankets. The location is a bit chaotic, right in the middle of Chinatown, but very close to subway stations.
