Excellent location for exploring Edinburgh.We found every member of staff we met to be very friendly and helpful.We had a corner balcony room which offered cracking views across the City.The room was very clean and comfortable.The breakfast was very plentiful and tasty and although on occasions it was busy we always found somewhere to sit and the food was constantly replenished.The decor of the hotel is very quirky and gives it a chilled vibe.We really enjoyed our stay (still can’t believe what a great price we paid for the brilliant room we had!)and would definitely stay here again and recommend without question.

Having to leave 😢

The staff! I received a friendly greeting as soon as I entered the lobby. All were helpful, knowledgeable, and responded quickly to all questions and concerns. The bed was very comfortable. The TV was easy to operate. And the room was so very quiet. I also thought the lighting was well appointed. The continental breakfast was wonderful. Many different options.

Not having a ramp to bring luggage into the hotel. And the area in front of the hotel would benefit from a nice sweeping. Looked messy with litter. Not a good look for such a prestigious hotel and location.

The hotel is well situatwd within easy walking distance to Princes Street, the train station and the bus station. The continental breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

I find it really annoying when information can only be accessed by using a QR code as my phone is an older version and does not have that facility. My husband's phone is practically a fossil so between us we are not able to access information via this means. It is presumptious of establishments to presume that everyone can do so particularly older people. Why could a printed copy of this information not be left in a folder at reception. This does not always apply to just older people - we are not old , we are happy with our phones and do not want to upgrade at present.

Breakfast was plentiful and had diverse offerings. The room was very quiet--no interior or exterior noise to speak of. Very glad we were able to open the window for fresh air. Bed was confortable. The location is ideal. We liked that the facilities are on the new side, after having stayed in several older places.

The HVAC seems not to run when the occupant (really the room key) is not present, so on arrival the room was hot and a bit smelly. Our room was understandably the smallest, but the location of electric plugs was not ideal for bedside devices (phone chargers, CPAP machine). The shower control was the most artsy and unusual we've ever seen--it took a bit to figure it out.

It was in a great location we were in walking distance to everything. It was inviting, bright and vibrant with the flowers outside and in the foyer. It was airy, modern and clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was east to navigate to our room, the property was very quiet and had a peaceful stay. Catered very well as I am a coeliac at breakfast, they understood my needs and accommodated VERY well.

Room was on the very small side, we were 2 friends travelling so each had a suitcase. There wasn’t room to put our suitcases in the room or move around the room. We could also hear each other in the bathroom.

The hotel was a great location and was pleasantly surprised when we arrived as the hotel was lovely. The room was lovely and spacious though I think a table and chairs would have been nice in the room. Bathroom was lovely to be honest it was just really lovely hotel. Though I me and my mum got lost on the stairs trying to find our way to reception🤣🤣stuck to the lift after that.🤣was really impressed u allowed us to store our bags while we waited to check in so we didn't need to carry them around with us and same when we checked out u kept our bags and picked them up later. That's a great service.

nice rooms - great breakfast - very friendly staff - good choice if you travel with a dog The hotel is in walking distance to all the important historic places.

If you stay a few days longer and you travel by car, you won't find a parking place close to the hotel. The parking garage which is promoted by the hotel is only suitable for cars below 2m of height. If your car is around 2,2m of height I do recommend to park at the Dynamic Earth parking garage.

The location was ideal as this hotel is in the heart of Edinburgh and close to all places to visit and the train station. The hotel was modern and stylish, our room was spacious, clean and with all the facilities we required. We had an evening meal as well as breakfast. The breakfast was lovely with a wide choice and selection of hot and cold foods. The evening meal we had was very tasty and good value for money. I stayed with my mother to celebrate her 80th birthday

Can't think of any dislikes

This hotel is in the perfect location! There are lots of restaurants close by and right outside the door is a bus stop with the subway being a short 5-min walk away. The staff was extremely helpful and the bartender was very kind! The breakfast was exceptional - much more than a continental breakfast that you get in the states. The rooms are quite small, but we didn't spend a lot of time in the room and were out exploring so it was ok. We will absolutely stay here again next time we're in Edinburgh!

The room size was quite small given that we had large suitcases due to several weeks of traveling.

Location was perfect for us, very convenient short walked from train station and to all the attractions. Hotel has bright colorful decorations at reception and lobby. Rooms was basic but clean and comfortable, good pressure water in showers and good self control air condition. Breakfast was good with generous choices. It was so convenient to have many restaurants close by to choose around Saint Andrew Square. Staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here a lot and will recommend to anyone to stay here.

Room had no refrigerator that was surprised me.
