The surrounding area didnt feel.very safe

Its a quiet comfortable place with pleasant and helping personal. Rooms have good sound isolation. And you can always have water, fruits and tea/coffee in the lobby for free. The bar is also working

If you are walking from Hauptbahnhof to the hotel, you must be aware, that the part of Shillerstrasse from the Bayernstrasse to the hotel is closed for construction works

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The reception staff were extremely helpful and patient and the housekeeping staff on the 7th floor amazing. The rooms were comfortable and quiet and they were easily accessible by lift, as promised. I will be recommending this hotel to my family and friends. It is in a very convenient spot with access to the U Bahn and S Bahn at the top of the street. It could not have been more convenient. It is a very user friendly hotel.

The only problem was the building work at the top of the street but that was nothing to do with the hotel and is only a temporary irritation. There is no negative with this hotel that I've found.

The hotel is in an extremely convenient location, near the main train station and the old center area. It has a nice little lobby area, a breakfast area and cute garden with seating in the back. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with everything. The room was comfortable with enough outlets for our electronics

I wish the cleaning crew had refreshed our supply of standard items, like coffee and sugar and clean cups. The booklet said they would only replace towels left on the floor. We only left two towels in 4 days, but they were never replaced. Finally, the air conditioning stopped working the last night of our stay and we couldn't locate anyone to fix it.

Clean modern hotel, very well appointed and extremely helpful and friendly staff. Rooms and hotel lobby all very well presented and good value for money. Karlplatz is a 5 minute walk away and Marienplatz (centre of the old town) is 15 minutes. Ideally located.

Turning left out of the hotel takes you on a route through to Karlplatz and to the railway station entrances and is perfectly OK and safe. Unfortunately turning right out of the hotel leads you immediately into a rather run down area of the city which is part of a non-German area of Munich, containing rather low grade businesses and we witnessed some rather unpleasant behaviour (spitting in the street, drunks shouting and ranting to name but two, groups congregating etc).

The location of the hotel is ideal, about five minutes walk to the start of the tour buses and about 10 minutes from Marienplatz, which was perfect for shops and the Christmas market. The room exceeded my expectations for an 'economy' room and was spotlessly clean. It did overlook the street but I heard no noise from outside. The staff were friendly and polite, and were able to help with directions.

I read in the reviews that some visitors didn't feel particularly safe in the area but coming from my part of London, it felt like home, hahaha. The hotel is about 100 meters from the main road and the Central Station, so not far to walk at all. Our main concern was trying to work out which exit we needed to take as the station is huge, so it might be good to include that in the directions on the hotel website.

I booked a room for 4 since we travelled with our teen children. The room was very specious with the girls sleeping on a comfortable sofa bed. The breakfast was very good. There were eggs, bacon, hams, cheeses, fruit, different breads, cakes, nuts, yogurts, cereals, very good coffee, juices etc, of which you can take how much you want. The room was always cleaned up and towels changed. When we had minor problems (a missing pillow and quilt) the staff came up to the room immediately to solve the issue.

The location is very central (right up the escalator from the central station) so getting to the hotel by train from the airport was totally hassle-free (and much much cheaper than a taxi). However, the street may feel a bit dodgy. There are a few strip clubs in the street and some people hanging around may make you uneasy. This said, this only impacted the first impression and we never had issues of any form. Given the convenience of the location, the quality of the hotel and the price compared to other central hotels, this was a very minor issue.

Excellent hotel near the central station. Clean and well furnished rooms, nice bathroom and shower. It was a quiet hotel and we had a view over the back courtyard. The breakfast was exceptional, lots of choice. If I came to Munich again, I would definitely consider staying here.

The location was within walking distance of the city centre but the hotel was located on a street that was typical near a central station. We felt unsafe coming back late with our small child. Within the hotel we didn't feel unsafe, just immediately outside. Worth considering if you have children.

The room was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful and wanted to make your stay comfortable.The front desk took care of a noise issue one night. The breakfast was fantastic (the best we had on our month long trip} and the staff working the breakfast were very nice.

It was a little noisy one day/night because a dance studio sets up in the hotel. We wanted a quick nap, but the music was really loud. That night we were told that the music would stop by 10pm. It did not. We let the front desk know, and they took care of it. However, we wanted to go to sleep earlier and have a nap due to jetlag and that was not possible. Would suggest not having a dance studio using space in the hotel. We found it disruptive.

Excellent location close to the central station, with good transport connections to the trams, U bahn, S bahn, etc., and a direct connection to the airport. Very good breakfast, with choice of eggs to order. Newly refurbished bar had its grand opening while we were there. Nice quiet room overlooking the garden at the back.

Not the hotel's fault, but major building work at the end of the street made the approach to the hotel awkward. That will be sorted out once the building work is finished, but it looks like a long job!
