The location was beautiful, large car parking for free, easy to find and a few minutes drive from York town center.. Room was clean, comfy bed and tea and coffee facilities, air dryer and toiletries in bathroom. Shower was great. The reception hall and restaurant were beautiful, staff was friendly. Management accepted to change my booking when I booked the wrong date in error. They accepted Booking.com request and it was really nice of them.

Just a little issue: we were on the 1st floor near the main staircase to the ground floor and the access door would make a noise everytime other guests would open and close to go down the stairs. But it stopped after certain time of the night.

The staff is so welcoming.Very kind and nice.The room was clean and up to the standard.The food is amazing and the fact that you can order from the room makes everything easier.

The fact that my bath tub lid wasn't working.I had to use the spoon to open it up and drain the dirty water.Plus the room was a bit cold,I tried using the temperature control knob,but it didnt help at all. I had ordered for some cakes but I was told the order has being cancelled,I didnt get the refund money though. I wish we could have breakfast room service as well,I hated having to go join everyone for the breakfast.

Breakfast was fine plenty to choose from. The dinner menu was very restricted for myself. Staff were very attentive. It was great having the bus stop across the road..

The room 119 was quite hot (there was no heating on) the bedside tables? were behind you so not easily accessible & therefore the bedside lights were standard lamps which you could only switch off by getting out of bed. The bath, being very deep, needs a grab rail for safety, the ones on the bath are too low for elderly people in fact walk - in showers would be more suitable nowadays also the sink needs a proper fixed plug & a trap across the hole. It was nice to have a fridge but it needs to be on a table or something but not on the floor.

Super friendly staff, really nice food in the bar/restuarant. Cheap and way nicer than we expected for the price. I navigated it fine as an ambulatory wheelchair user. Considering returning next year. Quick taxi ride from York station.

Only thing is it would have been good to have more of a vegetarian option for the hot breakfast such as veggie sausage or veggie bacon. And also if there could be decaf coffee at breakfast and more mini milk things in the room. My partner found the bed quite hard also, though I slept fine. £18 for the breakfast definitely too much, but if you book in advance it was £12 which is a bit better.

This hotel was great for a visit to York, not in the centre but a reasonably priced taxi ride away. The weather was awful on this visit for us (storm Darragh) so taxis were busy during the day but you could get them easily. Room was a great size, good sized bathroom with toiletries. Comfy bed and all facilities you would need - Tea and coffee - Yorkshire Tea! :-) Great value! we would stay here again on our next visit

Only thing was we could feel a draught in our room, which was emphasised due to the awful weather - the room took ages to heat up after a day out getting soaked

staff are 110% lovely hotel very cosy and welcoming. Room clean, we went for a prestige room in gorgeous and had everything we needed and more.. Beds were comfy and quilt and pillows very nice. heating in the room was perfect when we arrived we turned it off as we like the Cold. but there was a fan too! bar was staff was amazing, friendly and very efficient. If I had cash I would of tipped them! because they worked so hard to ensure a high standard and they reached it. taxi cost 14 pounds each way to the town centre which reception helped with.

I wouldn't say I liked the breakfast very much tbh. I would of preferred cold juices avalible. we didn't like the hashbrowns or sausages, I think maybe if we had come down earlier it may of been nicer. also maybe more tables in the restaurant, it's great you can order in the bar but having not knowing what time we would return from town booking wasn't an option.

The decor and furnishings in public area were spotless, generous and sumptuous. The room was spotless, good size with everything you need and a very comfortable bed During breakfast we noticed how efficient the staff were. The staff were constantly Working but without the guests really noticing because they were so efficient. Wide selection of good quality food for breakfast options. Even the carpet in the breakfast area looked clean which you wouldn't expect in a food area. Reception staff were really helpful and polite. All staff were dressed impeccably. The uniforms were very smart. Location couldn't have been better to access park and ride into York.

There was nothing we could say could be improved. Possibly a couple more picnic benches on the lawn for sitting outside during warmer weather.

Loved the hotel. Very modern. Lovely comfy beds and pillows.

We had to move rooms due to a tin of dog food that had been left in a cupboard and stank the room out. Thankfully my husband found it and not my little boy as he could have hurt his hand on the sharp lid. Housekeeping need to ensure they have checked cupboards. Reported to manager who was very apologetic. Sent the cleaners to check and also moved us to another room. He also checked himself and also gave us free welcome drinks. He did everything he could to ensure we were comfortable

Hotel was lovely inside and out. Free car parking was a bonus. The staff we encountered were all lovely and helpful, especially the man in the reception desk when we checked in. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were excellent.

I would have given ten stars, but there was a slight niggle. We had a nice quiet room near the conference centre which was great. However at night, every so often we could hear a noise like a squeaky door closing - which couldn’t have been the case so maybe it was some pipe work nearby but it did keep us awake at times and spoiled what would have otherwise have been a perfect stay.

Friendly front receptionist who was really helpful and upgraded us to a bigger room. Room spacious and loved the whole pool bath. Dinner was good. Breakfast also good.

Sadly the lift broke after we arrived and could not be fixed that evening. Which caused my disabled partner problems to climb up and down for dinner. Dining room was vast and I felt lacked atmosphere, it felt like a school dinner hall! Bar areas dining was not as intimate either and I think this could have been improved upon. Cost I felt was a little high the rooms good but a bit tired and need an upgrade! Lights did not work beside the bed. Not enough pillows. Towels also needed to be bigger bath sheets. Not enough tea & coffee, milk in room only enough for 1 person. There was a fridge, so milk could have been provided. Only one bath robe provided and very small.
