The hotel is a walking distance to Taksim Square which will save you a few bucks on transport cost. The staff are also very friendly, particularly the receptionist Mehmet.

There's no restaurant in the place

The Hotel is new and super clean, staff were friendly and made us feel at home. Fantastic position, if you don’t feel like walking uphill towards istiklal street, there are lots of nice cafes, restaurants and bars around the hotel. Main attractions are all easily reachable either on foot or by public transportation. Although it is really close to istiklal’s nightlife places, at night it is quiet. I stayed in many hotels in Istanbul and this beats them all, will definitely choose it again!

Great location - just a few steps from Istiklal. Clean and cosy apartments. Friendly and helpful staff. Good restaurants and cafes nearby, shops with local brands and even a couple of hammams. Tram stop is not so far too

Sometimes could be noisy at night due to sounds of cars or motorcycles if you sleep with open windows

This is a new hotel, therefore everything is clean and tidy. Location is Exceptional. Walking distance to most of points of interest in the heart of Istanbul. The room we had was big. Plenty of space for our luggage, sitting comfortably, etc. Staff are very helpful. Communication during booking was fast and clear, they were very welcoming. They helped us to book our airport transfer as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the area. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The reception staff were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay in all types of questions: sightseeing, breakfast, taxi and even when I became sick, they helped us with communicating with the pharmacy. Highly recommended.

There is a renovation of the rooftop area which will be probably super-great when ready, however currently there is no breakfast possibility at the Hotel. However the Hotel is helping you to arrange it at their best. For example, we could have breakfast at one of the close hotels in their rooftop restaurant, so finally everything was fantastic. So this is also on the positive side, just wanted to mention.

I had an amazing 5-day stay at Hotel Kulsumz! The location is truly unbeatable, close to everywhere you’d want to go in Istanbul. The room was spacious and quiet, which is a rare find in this area. A special thanks to Burak and Meric for their exceptional hospitality. Burak was incredibly helpful with arranging early check-in, late check-out, and taxi services, all without any issues. Their kindness and professionalism made my stay truly memorable. I’d also like to thank Nihal, who cleaned my room every day and kept it spotless. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely stay at Hotel Kulsumz whenever I visit Istanbul again! Highly recommended!

The location is good: not far from the city center and the transport stations but not in the busiest and nosiest area. There are also many nice places to eat around. The room is quite spacious and good organized, the bed is pretty comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful.

The cleaning lady only changed the towels and brought new bottles of water every day but didn’t clean the room or changed the bed sheets. The view from the room on the first floor is not the most beautiful but tolerable. The walls are pretty thin and we could hear our neighbors because they were loud.

I was very happy with my stay in the Kulsumz hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything necessary for a pleasant stay. The location is excellent- with easy access to the main local attractions - about 10 minutes walk to Istiklal street (uphill but not very steep), 5 minute walk downhill to the tram station (with 10 minutes ride to the Old town or 45 minutes nice walk over the bridge), about 15 minutes walk to Galata tower. There are a couple of small convenience stores , cute shops and some good places to eat in the area. The staff is very friendly, hospitable and always ready to help. In addition, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's modern design and impeccable cleanliness both in the rooms and in the common areas. Wi-Fi was consistent and with good speed allowed . The area might seem a little bit of the beaten path, but I was walking by myself after the dark and always felt safe. I am very pleased with the stay and would return when I travel to Istanbul again.

Nice and clean room, everything was comfortable, safe box big enough for laptop, only 3 rooms on the floor - which is super cool, nice stuff, beautiful lobby, good location, pretty quiet in the room, the room looked as in the photos and maybe even more spacious

One door of the wardrobe opened only halfway, it's still possible to use, but was pretty inconvinient. Doors of the rooms close with a loud smash and even though the soundproofing was not so bad, this smash sound was very well heard in the room( and the elevator also. Table was too narrow for working with laptop(

Great location, walking distance to taksim (though uphill). Very nice workers, who always have a smile on their faces. Good value for price. Renovated and clean rooms, which was cleaned during our stay as well. Late-check in possible (we arrived late due to flight delay and it was no problem whatsoever). Wifi and two bottles of water daily were provided. Room size was sufficient for two people.

Rooms are not particularly sound-proof, so you could hear doors smashing in the hallway from time to time. Also noisy construction at the street - but this is Istanbul and you have to expect street noise when you want to stay close to taksim.
