After reading the reviews about this hotel I was very apprehensive about staying there but honestly I think I'd take a lot of the negative reviews as people expecting a five star hotel while paying budget prices! There's not many facilities that I noticed but the staff were welcoming and friendly without being in your face and they accommodated us with an early check in which was really appreciated. If you want a bed to sleep in and somewhere to shower as a base for seeing London it's perfect. Yes the rooms are small but the beds are comfortable, the shower powerful and most importantly it's clean. Plenty of toiletries left in the bathroom and every evening when we came back to the room the bin had been emptied, the beds made and toiletries and toilet roll restocked if needed and fresh towels provided. The complimentary slippers were a very welcome added bonus after walking miles around London every day too. The location of this hotel is fantastic for transport links and if I was to come back to London I would definitely stay here again.

Neighbours on the last night were very loud but that's more on them not having respect for their neighbours than a fault of the hotel.

Location was really good. I was in town for the Kings of leon gig at hyde park. it was about a 10-15 minute walk down there. i walked from king’s cross and it took me about 35 minutes. close to tube stations paddington and edgware. lots of good pubs, places to eat etc all around if you have a little walk. overall the room was clean, bed was comfy, room was big enough for a solo traveller. tv in room which is alright if you just like a bit of back ground noise when going to sleep. hairdryer and tea/coffee with a kettle too. shower was a good temp and good pressure too

the shower was really small, just barely enough room for one person. the bathroom sink had a few mucky marks on but nothing too bad. the sink tap also had a big chip out of it. the walls are very thin and the floorboards are quite light so you make a lot of noise when walking about and can hear a lot going on outside too as the stairs up to the rooms are very creaky. no lift.

It was clean enough, there was a decent sized mug for having a cuppa in the room, the bedroom was a good size and I couldn't hear any foot traffic or road traffic from outside. The shower was decent too. Space to hang clothes. I didn't know it came with a breakfast so that was a bonus! I would have left without having it had I not asked.

It didn't have a hairdryer as advertised, the TV didn't seem to work. It could have done with a couple of hooks to hang a towel and coat from. My room was right next to then kitchen but it didn't feel that bothersome. The other good things about this place definitely cancelled it out.

This a budget hotel, if you're expecting the Ritz you're looking in the wrong place! I was dubious about my booking, I'll not lie. But it was just a bed for a night while we explored the city. When we arrived, the lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, as expected, but was perfectly clean and useable. The bedding was clean and white cotton, so nothing to hide! The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was a bed. The room was equipped with everything needed - TV, kettle, tea, coffee & hairdryer. The private bathroom was, again, small but perfectly clean. The shower was pipping hot, toiletries and towels provided. Check out was swift. Location was spot on, easy to find, and less than 10 minutes walk from Paddington Station. Couldn't ask for more, really, for £99.

The bed wasn't the most comfortable

I was worried that I might not be able to access my room until the following morning, but the staff's understanding and flexibility truly amazed me. Despite the late hour, they welcomed me with open arms, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in process. This level of consideration and willingness to accommodate guests, even during unconventional hours, truly sets Hotel Belmont apart from other establishments. Moreover, the hotel's convenient location allowed me to easily explore London's iconic landmarks and attractions. Whether it was strolling through the nearby parks or accessing public transportation, Hotel Belmont's strategic placement made my sightseeing adventures all the more enjoyable. In conclusion, my experience at Hotel Belmont was nothing short of exceptional. The staff's dedication to ensuring a memorable stay, even under unique circumstances, showcased their commitment to guest satisfaction. The delectable breakfast offerings and comfortable accommodations added to the overall positive impression this hotel left on me. I wanted a hotel for two nights while I was visiting the Hyde Park area and the museums in Exhibition Road. This was available at a very reasonable price so I booked it and was very satisfied with the room, the service and helpfullness of the staff and the full english breakfast freshly cooked to order.

As someone who has lived in a ground floor flat for 14 years I found the staircase slightly daunting as my room was on the top floor but soon got used to them and the exercise was probably good for me. Unfortunately this a feature of the building and so cannot easily be changed

Good location for the price. Full English breakfast included which was nice. Staff were helpful when I asked about turning off a light shining into my room.

Really basic, small room, felt pretty cramped. My room was unfortunately in the basement, looking into the storeroom.

The reception staff was extremely helpful, they carried my two heavy suitcases up 2 flight of stairs. They also let me keep my bags at the desk before my checkin time. This location is also so close to Paddington station, taking Heathrow express is so easy!

The sheets were not clean, there was a stain on the duvet. Toilet floor had some hair in corners

Staff was welcoming, the beds very comfy. Nice touches: slippers, coffee, fruit at the reception.

Bathroom could be a bit bigger, but understand the constraints of the original building. Shower was nice hot and strong, what is great after walking all day.

Breakfast was good, room very clean, bed comfortable, nice shower, brilliant location, and relatively quiet considering where we were. Would definitely stay there again.

Top floor so 53 steps to scale, but I can live with that. Bathroom very small for someone 6'3 it was a bit tight, main grouse was on the hottest day of the year in London, the radiator on the floor below was fully on and letting out hot air that made the room very warm. Despite mentioning this to staff it remained on for the entire weekend. But this didn't prevent us from having a great weekend, and I would certainly return to the Belmont.
