Location is lovely. The building is beautiful. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning lady was so helpful and nice but tbh other than seeing two bar staff when I first arrived she was the only connection to the place I had.

Some disorganisation generally and lack of communication. Had issues with booking and also when I arrived. Felt very apart from the bar staff so didn’t feel could go to them for anything. When the other rooms had all men in on second night because there’s no one in the building unless you leave and walk right around to bar, me and my little girl felt quite unsettled. Also could hear them all so clearly in our room every-time they went to toilet or shower etc so my little girl didn’t get a great sleep. I didn’t realised when I booked the bathroom was shared otherwise I wouldn’t have booked to be honest. My bedroom was very small and had to boil kettle on the floor as no plug on the unit.

This Inn is a brilliant stay in a beautiful location with fantastic friendly staff and amazing food in the restaurant, unfortunately I had to cut our stay short due to family illness (The Inn was very understanding), but am looking forward to planning another visit. This is now my goto location for walking in Scotland and I couldn't recommend this Inn highly enough, outstanding!

There really is absolutely nothing to dislike about our stay only positives.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Although booking restaurant in advance is recommended, they will attempt to provide a table where possible. If no tables are available, they will offer to book a table with a neighbouring restaurant on your behalf. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Fresh towels provided daily.

Access to bathroom wasn't within confines of bedroom. Other guests can access bathroom via communal hallway. Wifi connection was intermittent, but sustainable enough for occasional browsing.

Jody introduced us to our rooms with politeness and humour. We decompressed with a drink at the bar where Jody continued to be an excellent host. Then the locals arrived to bring us good cheer. We also enjoyed a fine meal delivered to us in the garden. The 2 rooms connected by the balcony was a bonus.

I discussed this question with the family and we unable to find any constructive criticism.

On-site pub was great.

The only available facility for a hot breakfast prior to 9 a.m. was the Winnock Hotel, which was terrible as the Clachan does not serve food at that time. The only other restaurant open at that time would only serve breakfast to their guests, not walk-ins. Clachan should make an arrangement to ensure their guests can be served prior to 9 a.m.

Lovely little Inn. Both rooms were very comfy and we liked the shared balcony. Had dinner in the Inn, which was delicious. Staff all very helpful. Great location for our travels to the Highlands. Lovely cafes in the village too.

One of our rooms had no tea, milk or biscuits. Not a major problem and I am sure we would have been restocked if we'd asked.

been many times before mainly for food and drink. I have been very I’ll recently, my wife and her pal were let lose in, Forest Hills Resort, the Clachan in Drymen, and now in Oak Tree Inn. I paid for all three venues on my only card. when my wife arrived, she was asked to pay £150. She said to the staff member, that my card had been rejected, due to lack of fund. My wife asked me to speak to the chap, which I did, and the polite person, said he didn’t know what happened, however he said to my wife that someone else would have to. My wife paid on her card to the hotel, minutes later I got a receipt to say that the Clachan had taken £150 from my one and only debit card, I have never used a credit card, I have plenty of funds available to me? Can my wife come and collect her £150, her mini tour was meant to go without a hitch? Please……….Neil Gallacher

We stayed here on the first night of walking the West Highland Way. We've actually stayed here before 4 years ago on a driving trip around the UK and wanted to stay here again. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Although the bathroom is separate from the room, it was large and clean with an exceptional shower. I love the pub and we enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.

Nothing. It was comfortable and a great place to stay.

Fantastic! Great location on the town square a short walk from the West Highland Way. Wonderful staff who looked after my mum when she arrived early while I was still hiking. Fabulous meals, the kitchen catered for our group’s many dietary requirements (incl gluten & dairy intolerances, vegan and vegetarian). The back garden, made available to residents, was lovely to share our meal and a drink on a perfect summer evening.

A tad noisy after my bedtime, but it is a pub! 😉

Charming old Inn in a beautiful village. Absolutely loved the staff at the Clachan Inn -- very helpful, friendly, and personable. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, loved the food and the service, and very glad that we booked our table ahead because it was heaving! The staff never lost a beat -- provided great service all evening. It was comfortable, and located conveniently on our trip through Scotland's west coast and whisky country.

Our room was tiny, but priced accordingly. Shared bathroom. Glass door to balcony didn't lock. However none of this caused us any problem.
