great location an such lovely staff clean large room.

room was expensive considering the view we had was of air conditioning ducts, our parents who paid less had a view of the streets of New York. a veneer on the bed kept falling off and when we left after a few rainy days water was pouring through the ceiling by the lifts.

The comfort and cleanliness of the room. The two ladies in the concierge desk were amazingly helpful at all times. Breakfast was great but menu didn’t change and I thought it was a bit too expensive per person. Coffee and teas need big quality improvements.

Couple of guys in the ground floor reception area trying to sell car taxi service at lucrative prices, also expecting tips…!!

I did a lot of research for a 5 day family visit to NYC. I really read these reviews to help me choose our hotels, so I’ll do my best here: The Knick is great. We had a deluxe queen, two beds. The room size is large with plenty of space for my family of 4. There is plenty of closet space to unpack the gear. It’s near silent. No street noise whatsoever. Silent AC/heater climate control. The fridge is extremely helpful. Bigger than normal. The bathroom is huge. You could fit 5 people in the shower alone. The elevators are fast, never really a wait. The safe is conveniently located and easy to use. Rooftop bar is awesome, and they allowed our young children. Very attentive service from the staff. Marcello was always very helpful and welcoming. All the staff was engaging and helpful. I’m not a huge mid-town fan, but that location makes it easy to go everywhere. You save time and $ because of the location. 2 block walk to go see Harry Potter. Joe’s pizza right around the corner. Times Square is always popping. It’s not drab, it feels new. The Knick is a very nice hotel, it would be my preference to return. location, fast elevators, big rooms, refrigerator, great bathroom, huge towels, and heaters right outside the front doors of the hotel.

I was surprised no coffee maker in the room. For how nice the hotel is, that’s the only missing piece. The in-house restaurant albeit top/notch and very politely staffed, is rather expensive. For that location, I wish we had a view, unfortunately we had an interior room with no view. However, we got a great price so I can’t really complain. My daughters love neat views from the hotel rooms.

The room service and the cleaning service were 10/10 - The room was impecable everyday and the cleaning lady was always nice and patience. My room seemed like a new room everyday. The shower in the corner suite was awesome and the pressure of the water was perfect.

A FIVE STAR HOTEL WITH NO STREAMING SERVICE? Very lame sir. I couldn't stream from any device Netflix or HBO... that's not what you expect from a fancy hotel in Manhattan, New York in 2022. I was very disappointed.

Everything! The location is great, just off Times Square and Broadway. The hotel itself is fabulous, tranquil and stylish. The staff couldn’t be nicer, from the front door to housekeeping, so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious and well laid out, beds very comfortable. We had breakfast and dinner during our stay and both were excellent, in both choices and quality. We were also lucky enough to visit the rooftop bar which is really lovely, great atmosphere and cocktails!

Minor issue with hanging closet space, handful of hangers for two ladies staying 3 nights. Also no tea / coffee making facilities in room

For a NY hotel room, this one was spacious, with room for two people and our stuff, not at all cramped. The bed was very comfortable. The location right on Times Square is great for theater, dining and sightseeing. Despite the location, the room was quiet and dark. We had Sunday brunch in the hotel dining room, and it was delicious. Order off the menu, you get fresh, warm food well-prepared. The buffet seemed to have the usual scrambled eggs, fruit, cereal, etc, but at $45/pp, hardly worth it unless you eat a HUGE meal. The menu prices were high but reasonable by contrast.

There were some small glitches -- no water glasses (or water for that matter) in the room when we checked in, although when we called they came promptly, and water was refreshed the next day. No ice bucket, either, and although there was a fridge, there was no mini-bar, surprisingly.

The bed was very comfortable and I had 2 great nights of sleep at the Knickerbocker. The room was very quiet. Service was great: from housekeeping to room service. No complaints. Great shower. Appreciated the welcome chocolates and bottles of water.

When I arrived there was no valet to be found. I tried to call the hotel (twice) as I was outside in my car but no one answered. Ultimately left my car behind in the bus lane to run inside and found a valet chatting with the front desk person. He then asked me to move my car to a different spot a few feet further down. All of this while valet costs $150/ night!! Also missed a coffee maker in the room.

+ the room was very big and soundproof + Every single member of staff we encountered were friendly and amazing. Especially the gentlemen who checked us in (sorry forgot his name). He went above and beyond to ensure we have a comfortable stay. + amazing location

- the view out the room was the brick wall of the next building - the lighting wasn't great unless you like that moody tone - the flush of the toilet was violent. Found ourselves running away in fear of being splashed

Fun location as it's right in the heart of Times Square. The staff was attentive and helpful with check in and check out. The onsite coffee shop was excellent and the folks working there were super lovely even in the early mornings. They made our Service Animal also feel very welcomed.

Strange to have Security staff members on every floor monitoring the elevators. I'm sure there was a reason for it but as we had a room by the elevator, we would hear their conversations and worried they could hear inside our room too. Added security never hurt anyone though!
