The location was ideal as I travelled into Liverpool Street. The room was very chic and modern and the shower was good.

I had to climb up two flights of stairs but a staff member helped me with my case both coming and going. At first I was rather dismayed as there was no kettle in the room but I then found the guest pantry which had not been pointed out to me.It was reasonably well provisioned but there was no Earl Grey tea, just a selection of fruit teas- not what I want first thing in the morning. None of it made up for the lack of provision of breakfast. It was noisy with drinkers outside using the pub. There was no useable mirror over the table in the room.

The Bull & the Hide was a complete pleasant surprise. I would say it was as close to perfect as lodging can be. From the layout of the room, to the amenities, comfy bed, and incredible location, it was a highlight of our trip. I wouldn't hesitate to book again and again.

The building across the way has VERY bright lights that come in through the blinds and kept making me think the night was over. There is some noise from the bar below but they close up early AND the bedroom area had no noise. None of this is a show-stopper, just info.

Perfect location to stay for a city break. It is next to Liverpool St station so really easy to get around using the underground network. The room size was large and very comfortable. The bar on the ground floor is nice and cosy for a drink after a day spent sightseeing and / or before going out for the evening. My only slight negative would be the cost of the room but it is, relatively speaking for London, good value for the size of the room and relative to hotels in London in general which charge similar prices for a smaller space.

Could have had more coffee in the room.

Location was great for our needs. 2 minute walk to sister in law's hotel, near to the tube and great for the east end. Complimentary tea/coffee etc very appreciated

3 floors up,all stairs. Very difficult for those who are disabled/infirm/elderly. Lady assured us it was worth it for the spectacular views. It wasn't. We overlooked a noodle bar or something similar. Only way we saw anything like a view is if we craned our necks to see out of a couple of inches of window, could just about see a tower block at a push

Room was great -- very clean, very comfortable, and spacious. The room was directly above a great little pub.The street was a little noisy with the occasional revealer until late (or early?) -- the room was still worth it though, and I would definitely stay there again.

Just a bit noisy at night. I think the garbage crew came through in the wee hours. So if you are a super light sleeper, the streetwise room may not be for you. It really didn't bother me or my teen daughter much.

The location is just in front of Liverpool Street Station, making it a great choice for a city-center stay. The room is large and comfortable, with a spacious ensuite bathroom equipped with both a bathtub and a shower. The room was clean and well-equipped. Free water and snacks were provided. Despite being located above the eponymous pub, the third-floor room is quite peaceful. The room was at the third floor and there is no lift inside.

Location, price and clean. Directly across from the Liverpool Station offered a direct access on the Elizabeth Line to Heathrow and the Circle Line for sightseeing. It’s a short jaunt to the Tower of London, St Paul’s and the Tate. Bishop gate is a great neighborhood with dining choices in all price ranges. The hotel next door is at least 100 pounds more per night. Our room was small, clean and nicely appointed. It was the first available for a last minute requested early afternoon checkin.

Be prepared to climb steep stairs but staff did help us. Some minor maintenance needed to be done on the hand held shower in the bathroom. Honestly, we were not bothered by the street noise with and without earplugs. Just mentioning these items in case it would bother someone else.

It’s a great location for the City of London & Shoreditch. Opposite Liverpool street station and a late opening Tescos for food etc - The room was a good size and loved the coffee/snack area which had fizzy drinks, water, crisps and biscuits all free, felt like we were staying in a little apartment. Super housekeeping, very clean and friendly, excellent.

The noise and had no contact at all with anyone in reception or while we were there. We had the room above the pub, it may be a lot quieter on the second floor. Told no breakfast but saw breakfast food on the bar so not sure if that’s the case. It’s such a great location but the bin lorry collection 1am, Beer keg delivery in the early am, & general noise is a lot. I knew I had booked above a bar but it was all the other noise, not the bar, that was a problem. There is secondary glazing but it needs more.

excellent and pleasant rooms, the location is the best bit about it. No breakfast, or food although on top of a pub, but plenty around super nearby. Friendly staff, ok. The rooms are better than expected, nearly boutique level, nice arrangement of coffee, tea and water. Very welcoming.

not about no like, but there is no lift, so only for people who love walking stairs and are not claustrophobic about narrow stair ways.

The bar was open when arrived, staff gave me the key in a minute and everything was set. No one bothered me after i got the key until the check-out. Very good location if you are going to take the train to the airport. There are Good restaurants and markets nearby.

My key stuck in the middle of the night gave me a panic. Couldnt unlock the door for 10mins. No available person to help. Fortunately it did work after a while but it definitely shouldn’t be that hard
