A view beyond amazing; waking up to the great scenery of Lake Como is priceless. The hotel was close to the Como town and had parking spots with a nice garden. The breakfast was by far, one of the most rich ones. The two rooms that we stayed in both had balconies facing the lake and it was a delight to spend time on the balcony.

The hotel staff were sweet but only a few of them spoke English well. However they were a bit disorganized, we had to wait an hour for the preparation of our rooms, even though we arrived within the check-in hours. The rooms didn't seem very clean, they weren't dirty or anything, but it felt like the furniture had been through a lot of stuff.

Having read reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, so went with an open mind but I have to say we had a wonderful stay. The location and views are breathtaking! We went with friends and our rooms were next to each other, as requested with the most spectacular view down the lake. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night, which was delicious but huge! We booked for the next evening too, as all we wanted was a beautiful lake view and great food and it was brilliant to get both on site. We found all the staff friendly and helpful and will definitely return.

Some reviews describe the hotel as old fashioned, but that’s all part of the charm. It’s family run and not part of a large, glossy chain. The rooms are relatively small and basic, but big enough and spotlessly clean and ours had a very comfortable bed, also air conditioning, tv, hair dryer…but the terrace where we could sit and take in the beauty of the lake views was quite priceless. The only fly in the ointment is getting back up the steep road from the ferry stop, the walk down is ok, but coming back another matter and there are no taxis. Just give yourselves plenty of time!

Although it is dated by todays standarts the hotel really makes you feel how everything was in a past time. The views from this hotel are amazing and the staff are exceptional. Food at the restaurant was very tasty and generous, breakfast options are plenty To get to the parking is a bit of a steep drive but for any average driver should be no problem

The bed could have been a little bit more comfortable as it was two single mattreses in one bed but did not pose a problem for us

The family who owns it found out we were going to be leaving early in the morning to catch our flight, which would make us miss the included breakfast. Without us asking, they offered take away bags the night before of breakfast goods and it was so genuine and kind. Very sweet.

There is not air conditioning but honestly it really wasn’t needed. With the fan on and balcony windows open we were totally cool and comfortable.

Great location overlooking lake Como, very good continental breakfast and the restaurant had a good choice of Italian cuisine at reasonable prices owner was very helpful in letting me park outside the reception as I have limited walking ability.

Nothing to dislike its an old mid 70's style hotel that as an old charm about it. Fully functional.

Given that it was very hot we did miss having air conditioning in the room. The heat at night made sleeping difficult - a small fan was provided but it didn’t really make much difference.

Hotel do their best to preserve a 70's atmosphere and they succeeded! But the room we had was very small! we barely could fit 2 people and our 2 suitcases....on the other hand, the view from the small balcony paid back the lack of space in the room!Great view of the Lake Como! The day we arrive was rainy so added to the scenery! For one night staying was ok. Hotel has parking space if you travel by car. Also,in a good weather, the gardens in levels, will be nice to visit! Breakfast was nice and plenty! Automatic coffee machine did better job than baristas elsewhere! We tried their restaurant and the food was very good! That explained why was fully booked! The owner and the personnel was very kind and helpful!

The size of the room, the lack of boiler for water,tea,coffee in the room.

WE couldn t have better view on lac Como from the room balcony. Was amazing . Food in restaurant was simple but really very tasty, good portions. Breakfast as well. Lady who served the breakfast was very friendly and the hotel manager as well. Lot of parking spots, you need good driving skills to get in and out :)

A bit of refreshing for decoration would be needed.

The view from the room and the restaurant was magical. The hotel is run by a lovely family who were very welcoming and friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant both nights of our stay and the food was wonderful and serves were plentiful. I would stay there again. The rooms, though dated, were very clean. Breakfast was self-serve with lots of choices. There is a one kilometre walk to the port where you board the ferries that service Lake Como. Some would find this inconvenient but I enjoyed the walk through the town. And did I mention the stunning view from the balcony???

The hotel is a little dated and could do with a facelift but the view makes up for it.

The views of the lake from bedroom balcony were stunning and the food is delicious ,the staff are friendly and once you get the hang of it buses and ferries are easy to use.
