Room was wonderful, very unique in a small, historic town. We loved the massive beam going through the center of the room, the windows looking out on the garden, and the bath tub with a garden view. Every last detail was perfect, it was an incredibly romantic and quiet property. The property was spread out and guests had their own private space, so much so that we only realized how many other guests were also at the property when we arrived at breakfast. We wish we would have booked a full week here, it was so wonderful! The breakfast was also fresh and wonderful, with high quality pastry and yogurt and perfectly cooked and seasoned eggs. As a bonus - the history of the family that owns this estate was fascinating, we loved learning about it all.
Nothing, we loved every moment.

This place was amazing! We booked a superior room, which was so romantic and cozy - we couldn’t have asked for more. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, which included everything from homemade bread and cakes to delicious fruit, salami, and cheese. There are many scenic roads nearby, perfect for walking while taking in the fresh air, stunning views, and beautiful autumn colors. During our stay, we also booked a wine tasting tour, which was lovely - such great wines! We tried the wine pairing dinner as well, but we felt it could have been better. While it started off strong, it ended on a slightly average note (we often eat out, so our standards are quite high). All in all, this place was fantastic - 10/10, we highly recommend it!

We stayed here just one night, but included a wine tasting tour. The staff was very friendly and when we arrived half an hour after time, they called and gave detailed instructions how to get our keys and find our room. We had a comfortable room and bathroom, including an open shower and plenty of wash utensils (even body lotion and a good hair dryer). The resort is beautiful at night, even in the rain. We were lucky to have a rain-free autumn day afterwards and took a walk around the stunning vineyards. The breakfast was one of the best we have had so far in a hotel, with friendly staff and a great selection of cakes, eggs, bacon, bread, and oats. We highly recommend the wine tour, as the cellar is really something special, even compared to other wine cellars. The tasting was fun and our host made an effort to explain everything about the wine, vinyards, and history of the place, while keeping a relaxed atmosphere.

Very nice village/location, picturesque, nice breakfast, beautiful breakfast area, clean and comfortable. Very nice bathroom amenities.
There was no fridge in the room wich was a bit peculiar for a place where the weather in summer is very hot. A long way to the breakfast area, you had to cross the road to reach it. There was no place where we could have a drink and chat with our friends later than 8:30 and that was quite a problem. Check out at 10:30 is too early. We didn't like the food at the restaurant. You can find much better and cheaper dishes all over Tuscany. Why the fuss over it?

Charming area, you really experience an authentic tuscan living, well-restored property in distinguished rustic style. Professional staff with some lack of attention to details at the Trattoria they partner up with.
We were disappointed by the restaurant offering. While the service was excellent (including a very professional sommelier), for the VIP Dining menu we were offered a combination of the previous day’s à la carte courses. We therefore ate almost the same courses but we exchanged them. The chef gave it a try to bypass this last minute but unfortunately not enough to justify the price of the package. Additionally, none of my 2 dietary restrictions were taken into account beforehand. A pity, as the service and the wines were extraordinary.

The hotel is situated within a winery. The closest city is Siena within 20 minutes by car. The hotel staff was very helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent and there is a private parking within the hotel. The hotel provides a shared kitchen with cutlery for the guests.
Although there is a wine bar in the hotel, unfortunately it closes at 20:30. For a traveler who wants to visit the area and wants to relax and taste the local wines in the hotel at night that is not possible, Also in our room the chair upholsteries were quite dirty giving a very bad impression of the room's cleaness. For the price we paid I would expect more.

Castillo do Fonterutoli was a delightful surprise in our travels in Italy. Staying in a hotel built in 1435 was beyond our expectations, with a room that was charming while supplying all the necessities of a relaxing stay. So much history, along with great hospitality from the staff, including the bar and restaurant on the premises made our stay so rewarding. We enjoyed our three night stay immensely, and will recommend this charming hotel to anyone traveling thru Tuscany, along with the wine tasting available at the winery. Highly recommend.

This place (which is actually a hamlet) is amazing. The bedrooms are spacious and beautiful. There is a huge library with so many varieties of books in the living room of the building where our rooms are. Everywhere you look it's so pretty, peaceful and elegant. When they told me the swimming pool is 3km away, I thought wow that's far, but when we arrived there, it's so worth the visit. The view is breathtaking.
The opening hours of the reception (close before 7pm). But we finally got help when we need it. So all is well for us.

Fabulous resort. Rooms were just amazing and even though in old buildings they were spotlessly clean. Bathrooms were huge. Living room was a bonus and we were the only ones using it. Wine bar was lovely and wine tour was good. Breakfast was ample. Very atmospheric and seemed like a step back in time albeit with modern facilities.
Steep steps up to the rooms could be an issue for some people but no problem for us. Restaurant was lovely but limited menu and some dishes not available. The food we had though was good.

Osteria restaurant was amazing - delicious food and lovely setting particularly in the garden. Great atmosphere too in the wine bar opposite. Breakfast buffet very good indeed. Staff welcoming and lovely and went out their way to help with late check-in on WhatsApp. Room v comfortable and beds especially so. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
The drive to the pool was a little long down a dirt track and the pool facilities v basic, but it was a fantastic setting! Felt a bit like using someone’s private pool though.
