Cleanliness of the bungalow, simple interior but very inclusive (kettle, fridge, multiple towels+beach towels, hangers, sarongs, even mosquito repellers) We were given bungalow #4, which we found the BEST bungalow (or mayyyybe second best) because it had the most stunning view: not blocked by other bungalows, aged pool etc. Just palm trees and water. Stunning. Very calming. The hammock, and seating on the front porch were very nice to have as well. Very near bike rental shop with decent prices. 200 baht for a bike/day. But they make BIG profits from the bottles of gasoline (priced 40 THB per bottle which you have to buy)

Angkana is tucked inside a small dirt road (muddy when it rains), no lights when dark, so pretty uncomfortable when you head back from e.g. dinner / chillings outside. Besides, you can't swim in the water. Too shallow, dirty. Very disappointing, especially because we stayed on the stunning Koh Tao the night before.

please make guests aware of the construction work prior to their stay, as it is quite loud during daytime whilst relaxing on the beach - hopefully this is over quickly

Resort was really lovely. Only about 10 bungalows which makes it feel like you’ve got the place to yourself. All bungalows are very private. Pool was a great addition if you didn’t want to go in the sea. Pool/ beach area was really nice. Enough beds for everyone and the choice of frazzling in the sunshine or moving the bed under the shade of the palm trees. Bar/ restaurant area was lovely. Food was delicious and the beers were nice and cold (not always a guarantee in Thailand). Lots of cocktails and other beverages on offer too. We didn’t try anything other than beer but what we saw looked nice! Would be good if a pool table was available and maybe if the bar could be open a little later - even 10:30pm would be good. I say this as there isn’t much else close by. Bungalows were clean, spacious and had everything you needed. I thought we would’ve been eaten alive with mozzies but the owners did everything they could to make sure this didn’t happen. We didn’t get 1 bite at all !! All staff were so lovely and always genuinely happy to help. I think the staff really add a sparkle to this place. Thank you for a great stay. Would definitely stay again.

Shouldn’t let it put you off … but it is quite a dark road from the main road to the resort. Once you get to the main road there’s only a few bars in close walking distance. However, we still felt completely safe walking (as 2 women) and the staff were happy to order taxis for us if needed. It would be good to have some lights on the road leading to the resort though.

The property was absolutely perfect? The staff were so helpful and friendly and very, very hardworking . Nothing was too much trouble for the chef. He was so enthusiastic about the food he was cooking and the food he served us was scrumptious! The sun beds were plentiful, all shaded by wonderful trees. There were also hammocks and bean bags as well as little straw huts if you wanted to be in complete shade. The gardens were perfect, with staff busy working on it all day. There were sarongs in the cabin too for guests use, a lovely touch. Every evening, the staff lit mosquito candles on our balcony, very thoughtful. The pool was so great, with the temperature perfect. We hired a motor bike from the top of the road, they were very helpful and very nice. We went to a lovely street market on Saturday, it only took 3 minutes on the motor bike. Such a lovely time, nothing negative to say about the property or staff ❤️

I loved absolutely everything about the property and staff. Sadly there was construction going on next door and the noise was horrible, from early morning until late afternoon, I hope this is finished very soon. If you are looking to swim from your beach, this is not possible sadly, just ankle deep unfortunately.

This hotel is located in a amazing little Beach, a little far from the main roads but the sides are beautiful. It is simply peace and surrounding for those who are looking for some peace and quiet. The bungalow is big enough and comfortable enough. Preferably you will need to have a scooter or a car if you want to move around from this area.

For the first time in my life I've seen a room which doesn't have a separate toilet and a bath. They're located in the room behind a bamboo curtain so you can't comfortably use the bathroom when your couple is in the room :)

Lovely place, very nice accomodation close to the pier and centre of Thong sala but still far enough away from the crowds. We stayed in cabin 1, it had a beatiful view. Very nice hosts. We used the free kayak to go to the island opposite of the resort. And they did everything they can to help us against the mosquitos. They arranged a taxi for us at 5:00 in the morning so we could catch the ferry. If i ever come back i would definately stay here again.

I would reccomend breakfast and lunch at the resort next door. Not that the food is bad at Angkana, diner is still very good.

Beautiful, quiet location. Within walking distance to thongsala, perfect for visiting the market. Bungalows were clean with a nice view. The grounds were well maintained with hammock, lounge chairs and bean bags to sit on by the sea. The pool was a nice addition as the sea was not pleasant to swim in due to low tides in september.

Aircon was not good and it was too hot for me to sleep even on the highest setting. Restaurant on site was average, much better dining options a short walk away.

Beatiful room, comfortable bed, could almost see the beach, access to the kayaks for free and use of the shared spaces even when we checked out was very helpful. Hammock was great, and staff was helpful in telling us about mosquitos and providing solutions. The mosquito coil under the Hammock was perfect.

The room was a little stuffy when we arrived even though they were airing it out. It wasn't a big issue though with leaving it open when possible and then with air conditioning once the mosquitos were too bad. Scooter or car is very helpful to be able to get around.
