Wow, before we came to Brayka we stayed in two very small diving resorts and where shocked by the size. That there was hardly any visibility in the bay was another disappointment since we came for snorkeling. But we got quickly into the groove of the resort and really liked it in the end and felt very comfy. The visibility in the bays changed from day to day and also during the day but man there atemlos of fish and large ones. Amazing snorkeling. The corals are also not too bad and especially if you snorkel all the way out towards the sea both the north and south reefs have amazing coral towers of all kinds. But equally in the bay there are swarms of small and large fish, we saw a turtle twice, and right near the beach a swarm of huge snubnose mackerels danced among the silver mackerel swarms. We also organised our own taxi to have a day at Abu Dabbab and leaving really early was well worth it to see the turtles. We also walked the 15mins to the next bay called Gabal el Rosas and did find one of the reef sharks that live there in the caves on the southern reef. Next time we take shoes when snorkeling and snorkel there along the reef. Great staff as well. Food was fine and alright but often cold. Otherwise we loved it.

Located some 45 minutes south of the Marsa Alam airport, this resort has all one can ask for in this kind of accommodation - great food, a gym and spa, pools, live music, cinema and animation programmes, a dive center, desert safari... I could go on.. I had a great time there and the food was marvellous despite its being a bit repetitive.. the corals in the bay are wonderful and form small caves with much sea life to be seen.

I loved the setting of this hotel in its extensive and beautiful grounds. Such lovely gardens, and so many birds to watch - it was perfect. As was the service from the staff, - they managed to locate my Ipad which I had lost en route from Gatwick, and thanks to Mohamed, the Front Office Manager, assisted by Peter and Khaled at Reception, it was found at Marsa Alam Airport. Help too from Ahmed, the Lifeguard who took me snorkelling, and showed me a turtle I would never have noticed otherwise. The beach is a lovely sandy sheltered bay so you can snorkel directly from there or via a short bridge close to the Royal, and the reef itself does not disappoint. There is also a small heated pool in a walled setting, and is sheltered from the wind, so necessary in the winter months. The Restaurant was good too.

The hotel complex is quite isolated, so there is nothing much to see outside the main entrance apart from desert, but all the hotels on the Red Sea are like that.

Amazing snorkeling, service at the buffet with Mohammed 5 stars, room on the beach with pristine location, good cocktails, food at the buffet very good, we loved the libanese restaurant! Staff very nice in general.

Bed not very comfortable with too much light in the room in the morning . Hotel needs renovations but didn’t mind about that . I am at another resort now ( more expensive)and miss Royal Brayka..

Very good beach, meal, snorkelling possibilities, sport possibilities and activities organised by hotel animation team. Early check in provided 👍

Impossibility to book room for 1 adult and 3 children-due to unknown reason for this persons composition and the same room size you have to make booking for 2 adults and 2 children which may possibly effect the resultant price. The safe in the room was left locked when checking in thus unusable. Nobody came at a time agreed with reception to open the safe.

Enclosed between the Red Sea and the Eastern Desert the resort is an immense garden, with green lawns, trees, a few cacti, many date palms, and abundance of flowers: hundreds of meters of flower beds, several flowery hedges. Interspersed by swimming pools, bars offering drinks and snacks, pavilions with guest rooms, the lawns host white birds loitering and flying around (Egret, Heron family). Egyptian sun supplied 10 hours/day. The sandy beach is provided with sunshades and beach chairs, a long jetty facilitates access to deeper waters for snorkelers. The rooms are spacious and comfortable: nice furniture, large desk, big cupboard, modern plumbing, minibar, electric kettle, large flat-screen TV. Perfect maintenance. Tasty international cuisine, in all-inclusive meal-plan, is completed by snacks available between the main meals. The plan does include alcoholic drinks (beer, wine (Egyptian products), liquor, cocktails). The personnel, at all levels, is competent, efficient and friendly. I enjoyed my stay immensely and, for the next trip to the Red Sea, I certainly will choose the Royal Brayka Resort again.

The perfomance of wifi is the only feature where I see some room for improvement. Intensive users of Internet can nevertheless get an Egyptian SIM card at the Resort's supermarket. The assistant would insert it into your mobile and help in connecting your laptop.

Royal Brayka is a great Hotel due to the Location and Bay, usually we stay at Brayka Bay but die a lack of availability we chose to stay at Royal in a Beach Front Room 1005 in Building 1. The fridge door was loose and continually dripped water on the floor an the bathroom is very dated but the rest was fine.

Location and helpful and welcoming staff, food was good too

Good, the coral reef in front of the hotel is the bonus. Snorkelling just out of your room is a luxury.

Lot of rubbish in the gardens and in front of our rooms, I didn't understand why, with so much staff they didn't clean, not acceptable for a resort.
