Good value for money. No frills. Basic but everything I needed for my conference week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Self service breakfast options were the same every day, nothing fancy but plenty to eat to start the day. Good location for me. 10 minute walk from Piccadilly station, slightly less from Oxford Road station. 15 minute walk from the University of Manchester where the conference was held. Good location for Manchester night life and lots of restaurants within walking distance, all tastes catered for in every respect! I was able to leave my luggage for free on my last day which was very helpful. I would certainly stay again.
I was on the sixth floor which was pretty much level with the railway line between Piccadilly and Oxford Road stations so with the window open I could hear the (slow moving) trains quite easily. Also it's city centre Manchester so there's constant traffic rumble and night life. Not a problem for me and easily fixed by closing the window if you want. I didn't bother and had no problem sleeping. Something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper.

Staff were really good. Asked me what I was doing that evening and volunteered to get travel info for me I was solo travelling and they upgraded my room to a double for comfort as they had one free. Really good. Best reception experience I have had and I travel a lot.
Nothing. Really good stay. Room was great. Good location. I stay in Manchester a lot so would recommend

Always love staying at this hotel, proper close to Canal street & the staff couldn't be any more helpful.
The only downfall being NYE there was no iron or ironing board in the ironing room. People must have taken them to their rooms, but the friendly guy at reception was more than helpful & sorted this issue extremely quickly. Also didn't get offered a 5pm check out while others got this option when we were sitting waiting to leave. Found this a little disappointing as we had to try find somewhere to go for the day to keep warm.

easy check-in and helpful chap on reception. central location for getting about. room set up was fine and everything went to plan. free wifi was easy to access and worked fine. quite comfy bed (but no head board for comfort when sitting up). easy check out.
it was a cold day, and the window was open when I got there. I tried to heat the place up, but heating didn't work. I did manage to get a portable heater from reception. Breakfast quality was kind of as expected - good selection, but hot food didn't taste great... Room was clean, but bathroom (sink) was not properly clean. TV reception wasn't very good. When returning to the hotel from my car, I got nipped by an off lead chihuahua in reception! Luckily I had ankle boots on so didn't really feel it. Staff looked shocked, but didn't say anything - I reckon the customer needed to be informed that was not ok!!

The Breakfast was really nice, had everything including full English, the food was lively and hot not warm really enjoyed it, also loads of chooses. The Juices all had ice in the Jugs. The only moan was that the Juice glasses were a bit small. I also would like to say that the carpet in my room was very stained they need to have them cleaned professionally. The only other thing to say is our sink in the Bathroom was not emptying when u unplugged the plug. I would staf there again.
Only our Bathroom sink didn’t brain quickly blocked, our bedroom carpet had lots of stains needs cleaning.

With Ibis hotels you know what you get. It's nothing fancy, it's definitely not personal in any way (my room was almost an exact copy of the room in Ibis London Shoreditch from last December), but it's clean, safe, very comfortable beds, all the procedures work with no hassle, staff is friendly and helpful. The location is pretty superb. Train station's just down the street. Everything in centre is within walking distance. Gay village is just around the corner, if you're looking for the best parties in town, even as a straight person.

Everything... The room was great , the staff were brilliant , special mention to the lovely lady working in the kitchen and serving breakfast on the 24th and 25th Feb.. She was a credit to your hotel.. I have stayed many times at the hotel and will continue using it every time I'm over for the football... Excellent location to everything in the city centre if you have never stayed before...
I asked for an early book in months before arriving due to flying in early and wanting to freshen up before heading to a football match.. This was not possible, so we had to get changed and freshen up in the toilets... This was the only small detail that I could say that was an issue..

Got there on Wednesday and stayed until Fri. Reception was very good with me, polite and helpful. Got to my room, which was clean, warm, and very tidy. Close to location for a gig I was going to on the Thursday also close to pubs and town centre just a short walk away. Met some nice fellow concert goers. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing, hot, and tasty, and it filled me up. I'm not sure why it's a two star hotel as it was perfect for my short stay. I will be back for sure .
The only downfall was that the tv was on audio subscription when watching TV late at night.

Only stayed for two nights wasnt in the hotel very long but it was clean just two things no bags in the bags esp in the bathroom (hygiene for any ladies) also teabags going straight in there too. The staff were very helpful & friendly got to the hotel 1hr & half before check in, room was ready but had to paid early £10 fee which was bit steep as it was ready.
Reminder too clean the welcoming card as mine was dirty/dusty & no plastic bags in bins too, also room ready hour & half early but still had to paid early check in fee

The room was clean and quite spacious for the type of room. The location was excellent as it was right near the University which is why we were there.
The only thing I would say is that the electric socket near the mirror was hanging off and looked unsafe, but I was able to use another one instead, so not the end of the world. Also the fire alarm going off at some ridiculous time for about a minute. No idea if it was a test, or a false alarm but it was whilst we were both still asleep so slightly annoying, but not enough to complain about as it was great stay otherwise.
