The beds are super comfy and the place is at walking distance from the bus stop. It's located in a quiet area (not that Hveragerđi ever gets super busy or loud). The room I stayed in was small and the bathroom even smaller, but there are all the basics. There's a kettle, cups and glasses. Soap in the bathroom and plenty of towels. There's no kitchen but there's a microwave in the hallway. The WiFi works well, too.

I stayed for 1 additional night on top of the 2 I had already booked, which was fine, as I could stay in the same room, but they didn't check if I needed toilet paper or anything else.

Nice, clean room, with basic furnishing. Well heated with nice, hot water in the bathroom. The staff was nice and friendly, but there is no reception. Self check in. There is someone around 11 to clean the apartments, but apart from that no one from the stuff was there.

There could be more plates, bowls, knives, things to make breakfast.. Etc. There was a microwave, but there was nothing to eat from. Not easy to prepare a breakfast or lunch.

Room - clean, comfy, with ensuite bathroom, perfect bed, desk, electric kettle and tiny fridge. Doors almost soundproof. Teabags/instant coffee/instant drinking chocolate in the room :) Location good as well. Free wi-fi.

I know there's no kitchen in the guesthouse, but as there's a microwave, it would be useful if there were at least a few plates to borrow and eat something in the room. Also, a teaspoon in the room would make it easier to make tea/coffee/chocolate.

- very clear and friendly communication upfront - very quiet - several options for diner within 5 minutes walk - clean (surprisingly rare enough in Iceland to be mentioned) but the bedsheets had stains (smelled clean so probably just don't go away) - on site parking Overall a very good option to visit the area.

- the bed was super super soft, forget about it if you have spine problems - there's no kitchen (you have a kettle, cups and small fridge in the room and there's a microwave in the corridor) and not plates/cutlery

Clear instructions on check in, very clean. Great location: quiet, lots of parking right in front. Most important: very responsive hostess, who went over and beyond: we reached just as most eateries were closing, and had no cutlery with us. One phone call, and she brought us cutlery within 5 minutes on a Sunday night. Thank you

It’s great to rest overnight, but creamed for longer stays

Hveragerði was our favourite place to stay during our two weeks trip around Iceland. The guesthouse has a good location within walking distance of the Geothermal Park, a park with lovely Reykjafoss or a supermarket. Our room had an electric kettle and a small fridge, which was great. There is a small kitchen area with a microwave you can use in the hallway. Check in was contactless (all very easy!) and we didn't meet staff, so I can't comment on that. Parking space was always available right in front of the guesthouse. The bed was large and veeeery comfortable. They gave us an upgrade to a different room which looked great (#4), but as it was our last night, we decided to stay in our room and not carry all our things over there.

Our room was on the smaller side, which isn't a problem in itself, but there was no space to put our bags and they were often in the way. Space was limited but shelves on the walls could be an option. The room wasn't dirty but cleaning was definitely done superficially and quickly. We found a sock on the small fridge, there were multiple empty rolls of toilet paper under the bathroom sink and a pair of underpants was on the communal shoe rack in the hall when we arrived and still there when we left. There was only one towel per person. It would have been nice to have an additional smaller one to wrap around your head after a shower.

Easy contactless check in . Our room seems to have been an addition so it was pretty spacious. I appreciated that there was a fridge and kettle in the room in addition to a communal kitchen area just outside our door.

The walls were not very sound proofed so we could hear someone snoring next door. The bed was located in front of a window so you couldn't lean against it to sit up in bed. The shades let in a lot of light. The shower stall was big but the bathroom vanity was tiny.

Very clean and comfortable, walking distance to restaurants, supermarket, bakery, swimming pool, friendly staff

Not really a big thing, but maybe good to know: you should bring your own cutlery, there is a kettle, a fridge and cups/glasses, but no plates or cutlery.

Central location and about 4km to Reykjadalurs parking lot. Comfy bed and clean.

It rained a lot when we were there and a bit of moisture built up, only one window that was possible to open.

Check in was straight forward, we arrived too early and decided to check if our room was ready and were met by very friendly cleaning staff who were putting the finishing touches on our room, told us we could access it in 10 minutes. That was a nice surprise! The rooms are small but the space is used well and we had everything we needed for our 1 night stay.

The floor under the bed needed a better clean, and the towels could have been fresher. Not much to fault, nothing that really bothered us.
