Exceptionally large room, typical of most ryokans. Overlooked the the pedestrian street. Some street noise during the day but because Miyajima is a daytrip destination for people staying near Hiroshima, at night the vast majority of tourists leave so there is no noise and the street is completely empty. I slept so well. I stayed in room#310 with two twin beds (traditional mattresses) but I requested that the staff bring a futon to setup on the tatami matt to sleep how you traditionally do at a ryokan. Loved it but sleeping this way is not for everyone. The staff is what made the stay amazing. They were so accommodating especially Haruka at the reception desk. I had asked her where I could purchase a yukata (traditional Japanese robe). She wrote me a very sweet note and taped it to my door. I will keep this note forever! The dinner was amazing quality (see photos) and this is coming from someone that does not like sushi. For breakfast, I requested a western meal which was adequate. The on-site onsen is great. Has one indoor pool and then a smaller one or two person tub in the outdoor deck. When you stand up, you can see the view of the famous torii gate. Upon checkout, Haruka & the other gentleman at the front desk took a photo with me and then Haruka walked me down the elevator outside. It was sad to leave as it was such a memorable stay!

All I can say is Thank You to the staff and management. On our honeymoon this hotel stands out - from arrival the staff made us feel special, the room was beautiful (upgraded on checkin), dinner was delicious with an awesome breakfast. When we arrived, Miyajima was bustling with tourists but by late afternoon this changed - we wondered around late at night to be greeted by deer roaming the streets. If you are visiting Miyajima, we would highly recommend a stay here. The onsen has a great view of Hiroshima Bay, great to watch sunset in.

The Onsen is traditional - same sex only, a little disappointing but the view more than made up for it.

Our room was in classic Japanese style with tatami, Shoji, wet bath, and yakata. It was elegant and had all the amenities you could want including a wide choice of beverages, sweet treats and luxury skincare. The outdoor public bath with view was wonderful. The meals were elaborate and exquisite. The staff were lovely. I highly recommend this hotel for a special treat.

The dinner was beautiful and formal and wonderful except that I found some of the food a little bland. That is just my opinion and shouldn't stop you from trying it.

The inclusive stay with a Japanese dinner and breakfast was a wonderful experience. The room was very spacious. I would recommend staying two nights if you can afford to take make the most of the facilities. The room included a Nespresso coffee maker with pods and lovely teas. The water jug instead of bottled water was a positive eco friendly way to provide water and the insulated jug meant the water was still ice cold the next morning. The bath was big and deep and the beds were very comfortable.

This Ryokan greatly exceeded our expectations! The service was fantastic. The breakfast and dinner, which were included in the stay, were amazingly presented, prepared, and tasted out of this world amazingly! I highly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay on Miyajima. Plus since you are in the island after the tourists leave for the day you can go see the gate when the tide is low and there aren't many people around.

Small and cosy hotel with Japanese style - a hidden gem. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. Very good beds and everything we could wish for. We enjoyed the Public Bath on top of the building and the half board was exceptional.

Japanese perfection at its top - only positive things to say about this wonderful place. 😁

Location, facilities , food, rooftop bath

Self check in felt impersonal. Entrance was partially blocked by people eating snacks from food stalls around (they moved when asked , but still…). Our room overlooked main shopping street and I was concerned about noise but it completely quietened down after about 6pm

The property was amazing and the staff were super friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and a big thank you to the hotel management for upgrading our room for free (thank you very much, that was amazing of you to do)!

Beautiful building and rooms. Great staff, incredible dinner and breakfast. Right in the heart of the shopping street and so close to the temples. Very easy to find.
