This is my second stay in Bridge Inn. For this stay, as usual, I liked the personnels, they were very polite and quick to respond/ find a solution. Room has very good lighting. The size of the room was enough. The restaurant menu was affordable. I was expecting that there'd be noise because of the bar but in my opinion, it was not noisy; same as my last stay, there was a party downstairs but my partner and I weren't bothered by the small noises we could hear from our room. Good location.

The sink in the bathroom was the tiniest sink I've ever seen in my whole life, it was so small that even brushing my teeth was quite burdensome. The teaspoons were dirty.

We had a lovely large room, which had nice big windows with a nice view. The room was clean and comfortable. On arrival staff let us know there was a function happening, that would be ending later in the night, although this wasn't a problem for us. Also, we couldn't resist a Sunday roast, and were not disappointed. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially on check-out, as we were leaving very early in the morning.

Due to the size of the room and age of the building, the room was slightly cold in the evening but not uncomfortably so. But everything else was wonderful!

We felt welcome and comfortable here. The room was slightly small but cosy and functional for 2. It was clean and nicely presented. We will be booking to stay here again!

If we were staying here for more than 1 night, a shelf in the shower room would've been useful, as there wasn't anywhere to put toiletries and toothbrushes etc in the shower room itself. The parking could be an issue, as it is on street parking, and if there is a function happening in the area, spaces can be limited near the hotel. Although there are other places to park within a short walking distance.

Everything. My first thoughts were, it's a pub so I was not expecting perfection. Well, there was no need to worry. Myself and my daughter went to an event held in Horwich so this hotel was located perfectly. Only a 5 minute walk to where we were attending and was able to get back into the hotel at 2.30am as there is someone there all night. Your given a number to call and they will open the door for you. As soon as we got there we were welcomed by friendly and helpful staff which gave perfect instructions to the facilties and direction to the room. We got to our room (deluxe family room) which was on the top/2nd floor and were not disappointed. The view from the window was lovely with the hill in the background and some houses to the left. Bear in mind it's the beginning of February and cold, the room was lovely and warm with a lovely soft carpet. It has single glazed windows which had thick curtains. I didn't try and open the windows as it was cold outside but it did look like you had the option too. You also have the blessing of controlling the heating yourself on the radiator which some hotels put a restriction device on. The room was clean and also the bathroom where you have a toilet, sink and bath with a shower head so you have a choice of both.. Towels are supplied. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The room had 1 double bed and 2 singles. You also have 2 wardrobes, 2 bedside tables beside the double bed with a touch control lamp on each one, a desk where you could have a nice brew in the morning as there is a kettle, tea, coffee and sugar. There is also a flat screen TV where you have access to Freeview, Netflix, YouTube etc.... just remember to sign out of your accounts. The plug points also have handy USB points aswell. We had dinner downstairs in the pub/restaurant, also really clean bearing in mind it's been open during the day and it seems a fairly busy place (it was a Saturday) and we ate around 6pm.

There was one little thing. There was no plug for the bathroom sink. It may have been there but I didn't really look too hard for it as we used the shower.

The hotel rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was available and there was a good choice and the food was prepared freshly, and served piping hot. Lots if different areas to sit and eat or drink, all clean and nicely decorated. We didn't eat as we were attending a function in the hotel later but the menu looked good. Staff were brilliant really friendly and helpful. Function room and bar were excellent too.

Not really a dislike but something to consider if you have mobility issues there are 2 flights of stairs up to bedrooms.

November 2023

I stayed at The Bridge Inn Hotel for 1 night in November to watch the snooker tournament at the Bolton Football Stadium, which is ideally situated and an easy 10 minute taxi drive away. The building is a lovely old period building which has character and retained some lovely features like original tiling. The rooms are modern and very comfortable. The property has no lift, only stair access to the rooms, so not suitable for some disabled people. Parking is limited on the street, but I’m sure the friendly staff will help if no parking is available outside. The menu looked great and although I didn’t have time to sample the food, I did see it looked fantastic. The whole establishment is spotlessly clean from the bar/ restaurant to the rooms. I loved my short time there, and will be back for longer next time. Highly recommended.

Nothing.... Having been fortunate to have travelled the world many times and stayed in numerous hotels. I can honestly and genuinely say there is nothing that I didn't like about The Bridge Inn Hotel.

The location was 3 minutes walk from my friends home, big tick for me. The size of the room and facilities were really good. Cleainess for the majority of the stay was good. The bar on the ground floor was handy.

As described by the hotel, the weekend DJs were lively, yet wasn't late enough to prevent a good night's sleep. Fan in the bathroom needed a good clean, and the shower rail, needed securing, yet didn't prevent it from being used.

Good selection at breakfast. Cooked food was piping hot. Bed was very comfortable. Room tastefully decorated. A proper old pub with beautiful tiles on walls.

Didn’t like the fact the barman asked for a credit card to charge extra for breakfast, saying booking.com hadn’t updated their site with new prices. We had paid in advance. Shower poorly designed so was impossible to not get water all over the floor. Saw people eating and asked about meals but told they had finished serving. About half an hour later pizza was coming out of kitchen.

I have previously stayed at this location and was more than willing to have the opportunity to do so again. The location is fantastic if you wish to strike out on to the moors, or a quick walk into either Horwich town itself or the football stadium (about 30 mins walk) There was unfortunately no breakfast, but that was clearly signposted/corresponded, so no issues at all there. The staff are more than friendly and welcoming and run an excellent pub with history aplenty in evidence. The rooms were more than up to expectation, being large, clean and bright with an excellent shower. I would very much return to stay here again.

To be honest there wasn't anything that strikes me as being negative during my stay.

Second time I have stayed at the Bridge Inn. Rooms are modern with comfy bed and power shower. Both times I have had a large room and can't fault it. Staff are friendly and rang me to check on arrival time as no check in after 11pm. The location is near the main street in Horwich and not far from Bolton Arena where I was attending a tournament.
