Consaldo at the reception desk was warm and welcoming with lots of information about the area. The hostel is central to everything you want to do -- museums, churches, site seeing, food, grocery, etc. The staff were excellent with answering questions before my arrival and their directions to the hostel from the train station were perfect. The main level entertaining area has a great vibe with free tea and coffee all day. The reception desk is managed 24 hours a day and the team will aid you with any questions or assistance you might need. If you want to stay in and eat there and meet other travelers', dinner can be had for $12 Euro which includes 2 sides, main course, dessert, and your beverage of choice (beer and wine included). And, I like the security cabinet in the bunk area for each traveler which can be locked. It was an added surprise that was very helpful as well as the personal electric plug and light at each bunk.

The dryer costs $3 Euro and sadly did not dry my clothes all the way. I had to lay them out in my room on my bed to finish the drying process.

Location, price, staff, facilities

Hated that the room was so dark and had a sink in the bedroom, which was waking people up all time! Also, i was hesitant to write this review immediately as i noticed huge bed bug marks under the mirror above the sink, and i was really afraid ill bring home bed bugs! Fortunately, i did not identify any bed bug in the bed nor any markings around the bed, just on the mirror and around it. Dear staff, please check for potential bed bugs!

The staff at this hostel are absolutely amazing—kind, friendly, and always helpful. Even if you don’t speak Spanish, there’s no need to worry as their English is excellent. The hostel offers a delicious breakfast and dinner at a very reasonable price, which is a great bonus. The lobby, restaurant, and rooms are impeccably clean at all times. I stayed in a 4-bed room, and it was spacious and comfortable, with a clean and well-maintained bathroom. The location is unbeatable, situated close to major tourist attractions, and just a short walk from the metro station. Highly recommended!

While it wasn’t a big issue for me, you can hear noise from other rooms if people are speaking loudly. Also, the mattress could be more comfortable

Stayed here for three nights. All staffs were so friendly and nice. Room was tidy, clean and spacious locker for luggage. They do buffet breakfast for 6euro and it’s really delicious and variety food to choose. All day coffee and tea too. Laundry also cheaper than elsewhere. This hostel is really thoughtful for everything they provided. Big thumbs up for the staffs. Definitely want to stay next time.

Nothing I didn’t like, just my dorm mates were not considerate and making loud noises whenever they got back. While that’s nothing to do with the hostel.

Amazing location (140m from the metro station), the staff are really nice, speak english. They have breakfast buffet and dinner for an excellent price. The room and bathroom were cleaned everyday. I highly recommend this hostel and would stay again in another visit to Madrid.

This is my 2nd time in this hostel. The staff is very nice, they go out of their way to help you and accommodate your requests. Everything is clean, functional, and bright. I especially love the mural in the dining room. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty and cheap. The dinners are great and cooked by a chef. The location is excellent, and all the important sights and transportation are nearby, at the walking distance. The rooms have their own bathroom and shower. The beds have privacy curtains, electrical plugs, light, and lockable shelf. Big luggage drawers are under the beds. There is cold/hot AC and a big window with a view of the quiet side and rooftops.

They need just a few details: more hooks in the room and the bathroom, and thicker pillows.

The staff are very friendly and professional. Estelle who greeted us upon arrival did a fantastic job marking on a paper map interesting sites worth visiting. She patiently gave us directions and recommended nearby restaurants when we asked. Thanks to her, we had a lovely tapas meal at nearby Lamiak, watched a beautiful sunset overlooking the city near the Temple of Debod, and learned that The Prado museum offers free entry after 6 pm. We were able to walk everywhere from the OK Hostel. Their breakfast is a great value at 6 Euros.

Can't think of anything I didn't like. It's very well run.

Room was nice and clean! I was on the third floor and it was pretty insulated from noise. The bathroom was clean too and had 4 hooks for hanging things and one ledge to put things on which was handy. There’s also a soap/body wash dispenser in the shower which is convenient. Water pressure was good and nice and hot. The sink is outside the bathroom in the room which can be awkward to use if your roommates are sleeping if you don’t want to be loud or disturb them, but convenient to use for getting ready for bed if someone else is using the bathroom/showering. Overall I liked the place.

The bathroom smelled really musty. There was no ventilation either through an exhaust or window. Smelled bad. Also the top bunks do not have privacy curtains, only the bottom bunks do. Major oversight.

Atmosphere in the hostel was very good and safe. Access has to be granted by the staff at all hours of the day ensuring safety. Stayed in a 4 bed female dormitory, rooms were a good size and lockers could fit both a back pack and carry on case. Breakfast each morning was excellent, loads of options and a very reasonable price. Loads of plugs in the common area downstairs for anyone using electronics. Dinner also available at an extra price. Offer walking tours and pub crawls for those interested. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower

I was in a top bunk and found it difficult to get down! Ensuite might be small for some people but totally fine.

The location: near Plaza Mayor, restaurants, and interesting streets.. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a lively bar on the main floor (can't hear anything from the rooms, though). The breakfast buffet is really good. The bedding provided is very soft! They pay attention to details at this place and I highly recommend it.

The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was that there were two knobs sticking up from the floor. Not sure what they're for, but I stubbed my toe on one. You know my review is good if this is the only thing I can think of!
