A very nice and cozy place to stay in London. Close to Kennington tube station and with easy access to Vauxhall and Waterloo by bus. The room was pretty comfortable, quite and warm. A Nespresso coffee machine and a mini fridge are also included in standard facilities. Very helpful staff and 24/7 online communication desk in case you face any inconvenience. Definitely recommended as a speakeasy super nice place to stay.
It is an old building so there is no lift. If you experience movement disorders this can consist a serious downside as there are many stairs to step to. In my room there was no desk office so it made it a little bit difficult to do some preparatory work.

This was a unique lodging close to public transportation and within walking distance of many tourist attractions (15 minutes to the London Eye). The staff were wonderful. The food in the pub was great and we ate their a few times. There was also a Tesco Express across the street for breakfast and snacks foods. The bed was very comfortable with quality linens and the bathroom was stocked with lovely toiletries. We has no issues with pub or street noise.
More a caution than a dislike - our room (at the front of the building on the 2nd floor) was very small. Luckily we had brought carry-on suitcases with us as not sure how we would have handled full size.

The bed was firm but comfortable and with good quality sheets, duvet cover and pillow cases with good sized towels which were of a firm but fluffy texture , also an iron and ironing board we provided and their is was plenty of floor space and ceiling height gives it a spacious airy feeling with large windows for light and a sash window which could be opened , extra fans provided for additional cooling if required as well as air conditioner mounted on the wall above bathroom door , clean good sized cups and glasses provided next to coffee machine .Good soap and gel dispensers for shower/handwashing provided.
Coffee machine required instructions as none seemed to be present either next to device or where additional tea bags and cream capsules stored in drawer below device .

This is our second visit to The Tommyfield. Highly recommend this little pub/hotel. A short walk from Kennington tube station or a 20 minute walk to Westminster Bridge. For us, the proximity to The Oval is the main draw, but I would choose to stay here any time I’m in London. Our room was cleaned everyday and everything was restocked and refreshed. I especially loved having the Nespresso machine with the milk frother, so I can have a special morning coffee. A hotel that me and my 12 year old son love (especially the burgers - says my son). We will be back next year for The Hundred cricket tournament.
No issues at all.

Gorgeous classic London pub with 6 boutique rooms upstairs. We were met by the Manager who was extremely friendly and helpful. He took our suitcases upstairs for us and then explained everything about the room and facilities, after hours access to the rooms etc. We were provided with a card to get 1/3 off the price of food purchased in the pub which we used every night and the food was fantastic especially the Sunday roast! If you are into comedy, it also hosts Comedy Club (All About Comedy) at least once a week. This is in a separate function room so does not impact on eating in the pub. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was massive with a double sink and walk in shower. Plenty of space in the bedroom and bathroom and beautifully decorated. Location was exceptional with Underground Station only 5 walk mins away and plenty of bus stops around to access all the main attractions of London. Little pop-up coffee kiosk across the road was lovely. Although on our fairly busy road, double glazing in the windows eliminated most of the street noise, and it was quiet at night time. We loved our stay at the Tommyfield and found it excellent value for money compared to larger hotel chains.
Just be prepared for flights of stairs as would be in an older heritage building. It didn't bother us at all but some might find them taxing especially if on the third floor.

The room itself was lovely and the bathroom was large and well appointed. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was cold water in the fridge and some lovely complimentary tea in the room. The pub itself was warm and welcoming as was the staff. The food was top notch and the discount for staying was appreciated.
The stairs to get to our room were horrifying. There were 3 long, steep staircases to go up. We were traveling with 4 suitcases as we were going on a 2 week cruise, and going up the stairs with all the luggage was very difficult. A member of staff assisted us in going up, but what goes up must come down and we managed that on our own.

The Cool and cosy room was the perfect choice for our long weekend. It is in a lovely area close to the city centre, well connected to transport links via the Northern Line tube. The Hotel offers good discounts for guests, but we only had breakfast on the first day as we prefer to explore around. Staff were easy to contact when the pub was closed for business and were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, would stay again!
Breakfast was OK but nothing special. I'm afraid the coffee was awful but didn't have the heart to say that! Sorry :(

the beds were very comfortable, the room very nice and the staff very friendly. it’s fantastic that you get water, tea, nespresso and milk free at your room, so you can have your own fresh cappuccino in the morning (there’s no breakfast on weekdays), we loved that! it’s very easy to reach everything in London by underground or bus and the hotel is in a very nice neighbourhood, we always felt safe, even late at night when walking to the hotel. the pub is nice and has good food, so you never have to stay hungry when returning to the hotel after a long day in the city.
no problem for us, but can be a problem if you’re travelling with not too close friends: the shower has a wall made of glass, there is a curtain you can close, but it’s not very private, so be sure who you share the room with ;-)

The location of the property is just wonderful! In a much quieter area of London whilst still being close to absolutely everything! The staff are all wonderful and very helpful with everything from check in to check out and getting your luggage up the stairs. The linens are all so comfortable and luxe and the rooms feel like an authentic London pub stay!
My aircon wasn’t working but it really wasn’t that much of an issue at all; the fan that was in the room helped cool things down and the windows opened as well which helped as well!

Upon arrival we had a late breakfast which was delicious. The pub itself is lovely and in a really nice location. The room was exactly as it looked in the pictures, a really impressive room. The bed was so comfortable and huge! The room had everything you could think of including the bathroom with lovely shower gels etc. I will definitely return. It felt like luxury.
The manager was really kind and helpful on arrival, as we were too early to check in she took our bags and coats and hung them up in our room. She very kindly gave us a key allowing us to have our day and evening as planned as the pub closed early on a Sunday and we were going to the Theatre. My only negative was a member of staff who made me feel like he either didn't want to be there or generally hated life and people itself and was rude, it was really odd when the manager was the polar opposite.
