The Romagna is very well situated in a nice area close to all of the main attractions. All members of the staff were lovely. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate, and we enjoyed it. We were given a free upgrade from a budget to a standard room, thanks very much. The whole place was immaculately clean. Nice bed linen and towels. Good hot shower with good pressure. Shower gels/shampoo provided. For value for money, we could not beat it.

Our toilet cistern in room 18 had a life of its own, but once we mastered it, no real issues. The bed mattress was firm but comfortable, the only thing wrong with the bed was the thin very hard pillows. They could do with replacing really. If you are a larger person, the toilet, certainly in room 18, is not for you. It’s tight, I’m 5’10”, and my knees were touching the wall while seated. Not too much information I hope. If you can’t go upstairs, oh dear. Still, having said that, it’s an old building, and there’s not much to be done about that. At the end of the day this is a two star hotel. If it’s bells and whistles you’re after, put your hand in your pocket and go large. All the best with that. Florence hotels are not cheap.

The room corresponded to my expectations - we didn't book anything fancy, but the location is absolutely amazing. We are less than 2 minutes away (on foot) from the Duomo and the main streets and spots. So of course there is a lot to do and quick services around - lots of restaurants, bars/pubs, and coffees around. It was a pretty good stay in that way.

If your room is in a higher level/floor, be mindful hat there is no elevator. Also, the bathroom in my room was very tiny, which I knew from beforehad but still surprised me a little.

We really liked the location. Close to the train and all the major sites. We were given a larger room at no extra cost due to our longer stay. Our room faced the street but had such great sound proofing windows that it was no issue as far as noise went. The beds were very comfortable as well. There are many good restaurants and sandwich places close by. We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at the hotel ( which was convenient ). The front desk staff and the breakfast room staff were helpful and friendly. They really met all our needs: corkscrew, hairdryer, restaurant suggestions etc. Overall a very nice stay!

There were very few things to dislike. The bathroom was very small- but that is typical for most European cities. A few pictures in the rooms would add a nice touch. There were really fun retro movie posters throughout the rest of the hotel.

The location is perfect and Stefano and the staff are very helpful and nice. I was a solo traveler and received an up grade to a double room for 6 nights which was a pleasant surprise. You will be right on the main street from the train station to the Duomo but the noise was not a problem since they have excellent modern windows than when shut block 95% of the noise. The pastry/sandwich/coffee/cocktail shop right next to the entrance is a major plus!...those guys there are great!

No elevator

It was easy to access as is close to tram and train station, and easy to find from there. It is centrally located to historic district, with food and bars literally a few steps away.

There is a lot of noise that occurs from the plumbing. The mornings that I unfortunately awoke around 6 am, I couldn't get back to sleep because of the loud noise from others flushing toilets, showering, and talking. With the window closed, it does a good job keeping out street noise, but it is the hotel noise that is more of a problem. Also, the door to our bathroom did not close properly.

Grazie mille! We felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay. Thank you for earlier check in and opportunity for leaving luggage, as we arrived early morning. The room was clean and tidy. Everything worked and it was a really good stay comparing to many other hotels of the same price. Oh, and location is perfect of course!

Other tourists, just take a note that the building is ancient and does not have elevator. For us that was not a problem but take in mind that 5 floor could be an exercise for you 😂

The staff is very kind and helpful. It's placed in the city center and just 5 min away from the airport tram. Do not spend a huge amount of money on Uber or taxi, it's not worth it. It's in walking distance of every attraction. Bathroom towels frequently changed even without asking. Room AC works great (and you'll need it). Anti bug device and recharges available (you'll need it too).

The breakfast has less offer than we are used to with continental breakfast (for example, only red orange juice or orage with lemon - both machine made - and no other juices) but it has enough offer of the rest. Bathroom can be a bit small and clumsy, specially the toilet usage.

great location for budget-conscious tourist. easy walking distance from everything i wanted to see and needed to use: Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi, Accademia, trains/trams/busses, currency exchange, shops, cafes, restaurants, markets. also, the room's windows deserve special mention: two double-paned, thick glass windows, one in front of the other for maximum soundproofing. despite being 20 feet/6 meters above very busy, noisy streets and sidewalks, the room was relatively quiet with the windows closed. closed windows and quiet air conditioning made for a good night's sleep.

a washcloth and bigger bar of soap would have been appreciated. that's all i can come up with.

The staff was super nice. When we arrived, we received a map explanation of the city worth of a 5* hotel. They also gave us a great room, which had 2 separate rooms with a bathroom in between. It was perfect for us, since I was travelling with my mom and my brother. The ladies at breakfast were very friendly and always repositioning food at our request.

There was no elevator, so we had to climb a lot of stairs when returning to the room. We were in the 3rd floor, with my mom who is 62. So it was a bit tiring after a long day of walking. I understand that it's an older building, so there's not to do about it, but I wouldn't recommend it for people with low mobility.
