The hotel is old but it has a charm to it that I really liked. Our room was very big, with an apart section for our kid's bed so that was amazing and the sea view was incredible. It is ideal to relax because it is very quiet and far from the city. The restaurant Paviljon was also very good and has also amazing views. The staff was friendly, I didn't have any issues with them not talking in English to me.

Because they are renovating, the spa was closed but the girl at the reception gave us free tickets to the open air swimming place nearby and they had a sauna. There was a lot of renovation works near our room but it didn't actually bother us. Just the fact that some things like the French restaurant and the spa were closed.

Size of the room. View from all windows was great. Excellent breakfast buffet. Was given 'breakfast to go' on my last morning as I had to leave before breakfast was served. Location perfect.

Tea and coffee that- breakfast tea provided on one day only. Every other day Earl Grey only, which I don't like and I don't drink coffee. I didnt report it as it certainly didn't impact on my stay and that is the only negative thing about my stay.

A great place for a weekend getaway with friends. Spa costs extra 250kr in case you're staying at the hotel. Overall, I would say the spa facilities were rather limited, but we enjoyed it anyway. Great breakfast with loads of options! Very friendly and helpful stuff.

When in winter or nasty weather overall, a floor matt would be a good addition to the room as the anteroom gets very messy and it's hard to reach the bathroom without stepping into dirt.

A family of four plus a dog, we were really pleased with our stay at Grand Hotel Saltsjöbaden. Being an old grand hotel, the ambience manages to be both chic and very laid back at the same time, and the location by the sea is superb. We had a quadruple room that was large enough to accommodate us, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the staff super nice. Still, this doesn' t even begin to catch the atmosphere of this place, you have to visit to experience it for yourself.

Majestic old hotel in a beautiful location. Delicious breakfast, sunny rooms with nice view and super cozy vibes. Some wear and tear in places but we think it added to the charm of that golden era aesthetic. We were there on a Sunday, the hotel was not at all crowded and felt like we had all the place to ourselves!

The hotel was being renovated so there were workers and scaffolds but it didn't really disrupt our experience. The common areas and our room got a bit chilly in the evening and there was no way to turn up the heat :(

fabulous food in tbe restaurant, really nice staff and saltsjobaden is a great place to go on holiday, I also loved the views across the bay and the reception staff very helpful, we enjoyed the jazz style music in the upstairs bar, which was quite glamorous, we had a great stay and i think i will come back sometime xx

i think more vegatarian options for food in paviliongen retaurabt.. also my friends room ( number 333) needed a bit of renovating, and so do the showers in the en suites xx

The view was amazing with plenty of spots to rest and enjoy them. Breakfast was excellent in their magical grand dining room.

Our room and the building was under construction, the window frames were unfinished so every time we opened windows, plaster chunks fell on the floor, the noise level made it difficult to relax and enjoy your peaceful surroundings. I felt they should have given a larger discount considering all of this.

The location, the coziness and the spacious room, good value for the money you paid. beautiful building, every details has a history.

despite that there’s renovation going on, this hotel is still beautiful. yes there might have some disturbances due to the renovation but I find it acceptable.. they also adjusted the price how much they can charge during this time.

Well, we got of to a bad start when I couldn’t get into my room, because the key card wasn’t working. After try 3, the friendly staff upgraded us to a better room, so I will say that was really great.

I would have like more options at the spa. The jacuzzi was very small, maybe add more. You can’t get any spa treatments unless you book in advance, which was a pity, but I guess that’s normal. The main restaurant: definitely the biggest let down. Over priced, unfriendly staff and the bar next door had better food and service!

Location was great with super easy way to get to Stockholm. Breakfast was great no complaints. The room was excellent. The outside bar - restaurant had good quality food and drinks. Prices were fine considering the milieu.

The lack of air con is only an issue for a handful of nights on Sweden so not a big deal but during our night it would have been useful. The outside of the building will need further work sooner rather than later.
