A world class 4 star hotel. I think this one of the best hotel in Azerbaijan. We stayed here in late April, so the skiing season was already over but we enjoyed the beautiful spring scenery of these majestic mountains. We hiked from the nearby village of Kuzun to the village of Laza : just wonderful (the hotel can arrange a taxi to get back). The hotel itself is new, huge, and perfectly maintened, as for the rooms. The spa and the indoor pool are fantastic. Turkish bath and sauna are gender separated, so remember to book the 1 hour VIP Spa if you want to enjoy it in privacy with your partner or your friends. The restaurant and the breakfast were both super !

We loved our stay at the Shahdag Hotel. Even though our view wasn't quite clear on the first day due to the snowfall, our mountain view room lived up to its name once the fog cleared. The staff was very professional and helpful. Our room was really cozy, clean and was just lovely. The bathroom had heated floors which was quite helpful in the cold weather of Shahdag. The complimentary breakfast seemed to have unlimited options which were all delicious. The location of the hotel is also scenic and right in front of the Shahdag coaster which is a plus point. Room service was quick and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Good room size. Big washroom with good toiletries. Great mountain view from balcony. Lots of entertainment options nearby like coaster, paragliding etc. There was welcome biscuits/chocolates waiting in the room. Staff is very friendly

Breakfast could have been better as some bakery items (cakes, croissants etc) were not fresh and needed more items (like waffles, parathas, chickpea curry, bacons etc) considering that the breakfast was supposed to be continental and the high room rent. The Indian restaurant needed proper indian chef as the food tasted more like Azerbaijani cuisine than Indian food. We are a family with 3 kids (one 7 year old and twins of 3 years old), and were forced to stay in 2 separate rooms although we could have easily fit in one King Deluxe room with extra bed. There is this weird booking.com policy that 3 year old babies are counted as grown-ups, due to which only 4 people can stay in one room. Even a suite could have maximum 4 people.

Everything start from booking the room till the checkout was great. I was celebrating my Wedding Anniversary. Ms. Kamilla from the reception helped me plan a perfect surprise decor with lovely cake. Also, kudos to Mr. Sahil for making our Breakfast experience more comfortable. Overall the most recommended hotel for Azerbaijan trip. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

We were excited for SKIMOBILE, but unfortunately it was closed.

We arrived on time ( 3 pm) but rooms wasn't ready... We have to wait until 4:20 Internet and movies wasn't working on firest day ( every time we tried to watch movies messages show room checked out) carpet wasn't cleaned .... I think they gave us different rooms because our reserved rooms wasn't ready, hotels need to add restaurant like macdonald and Starbucks cafe... Restaurant at the back charged us 60 mnt for 3 burgers ( too expensive and it doesn't deserve it)

Breakfast was excellent, room was nice, immediately attended the call and compliance the request.

The room air conditioner was set at 22 degrees centigrade on first night but the A/C was on and off as I thought the room had achieved the required temperature. On the second night I set the temperature at 15 degrees centigrade and found almost the same. In order to avoid room suffocation the management should take some measures. The channels available on room tv are almost in Russian or Azerbaijan languages, except couple of news channels. English movies channel should be available for the entertainment purposes.

The hotel is situated on the peak of the Shadag mountains, which gives the place an extraordinary view of the surrounding landscape. The staff were exteremely friendly and attentaive to our every needs. The hotel had our breakfast prearranged to suit our timing of checking out very early in the morning, which is something I grealty appreciate. The hotel is within walking distance of many activites and restuarants.

Some of the furniture where worn out (overused) in my opinion. The rag in my room had dirt/ dark spots which I noticed immedialty on arrival. Unfortuantely, to get to the hotel you will need a minimum of 3 hours driving

The location, the view, the activities around the hotel are just amazing! It's a proper getaway to relax from the touristy hustle of Baku. Be sure to take the mountain view room for an unforgettable memory. The famous roller coaster is totally worth it - be sure to take the gold package that includes the video and photo - it's totally worth looking at yourself while sliding down the mountain. The restaurants have nice food but has limited options. The staff was courteous and helpful except for...

Housekeeping is a disappointment! We booked a two night stay and they dint even change the sheets, they just casually wrapped the same again. What's worse is that they just washed the used cups in the bathroom and placed them back. :/ The breakfast spread felt very limited for a place like this - the taste was okayish. For comparison, the Qafqaz Tufandag resort had a much wider spread and was a lot more better. For an experience such as this, the above two must deserve a massive improvement. Would've given an 8 if not for the location.

Employees and staff are not very welcoming, doesn't speak much English so they won't explain activities or facilities.. Etc. Unless u ask specifically, it's very hard to gey the right information. My room was facing a constructions left overs in the backyard. Also, room service is horrible.. I had to call 3 times to bring some water, they offered to get me some coffee pods as well while i don't have a machine at the room.. I called them twice again to bring a machine and they never did.
