Breakfast was great. Main choices were given the day before and a small buffet provided sufficient choices without the unnecessary waste you often see at larger resorts. The bed was amazing…so comfortable & the Villa was spacious with a fabulous view. Private pool was wonderful too. We enjoyed a free yoga class & a cooking class. A bike ride to a local waterfall was a great adventure. Staff were friendly & helpful.

The resort is further out from Ubud town than we expected. The property is beautiful and we chose it for the jungle/river position however the bar was poorly stocked. The 1st night we ordered a bottle of wine and the next day was told they had none left. Could not order any spirits just cocktails. As there are no other places to go to it would have been great to enjoy some time overlooking nature and possibly some light music etc. The resort does need some maintenance. The rotting timber and mould made it quite slippery & sometimes unsafe to venture down to the river. The pushbikes supplied were old & need replacing

Location, as the villa built on the hill which gives you amazing jungle view, i liked the team as well, they were very kind, friendly, smily, clean and cooperative… The food was good with very reasonable price but just we need more variety for breakfast and also the food should be covered all the time as insects a lot there..the food should be labeled as well..

They told me last day that they would like to offer me complimentary floating breakfast, and i refused because i had a flight and i wanna catch, that should have een arranged with me earlier not last day… I booked villa with jungle view and the balcony door should be sealed well but we have seen a lot of lizards in our villa..

We were looked after so well. My mother had a fall and was unable to get to our room and the staff kindly organised for a change in rooms. They went out of their way to be helpful and kind. The beauty of this place is outstanding, you feel like you are in the jungle and far removed from the hustle and bustle of Bali. Oh and the spa is to die for... wonderful experienced hands but best of all is lying with the river rushing under you and being lulled into relaxation. The infinity pool is exactly like the photos, surreal. And not only the wild jungle but beautiful landscaping everywhere including the magnificent waterfall, the whole place felt like it fitted in to the environment and had been a part of it for ever. I experienced Balinese Dance and learn't about Balinese Spiritual offerings all put on by the resort. The concierge spoke excellent English and organised everything efficiently and fast. A personalised breakfast each morning was an extra special treat we had not expected. One special sunrise was watching flocks of birds fly right past my balcony with the moon still in the sky.... wonderful Bali memories from Alam Ubud.

Large and secluded villas with amazing jungle views. Quite a peaceful experience with hotel built on a cliff surrounded by beautiful rice terraces. Infinity pool was fantastic, breakfast was great and staff super friendly. Great location a short ride away from Ubud and with a few good restaurants within walking distance.

Some of the villas are quite far from the reception with lots of stairs up and down. Not a hotel suitable for older people or people with weak knees. Lots of people were smoking in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner which spoiled the atmosphere. Like a few areas in Bali, the hotel and surrounding properties ban all taxi Apps (for outbound trips only), meaning that we had to either hire taxis via WhatsApp or use the more expensive hotel cars. To be fair to the hotel, they offered a free shuttle to Ubud twice a day, which was great.

Beautiful resort with jungle views on one side and rice terraces on the other. The infinity pool is stunning. The room (jungle view villa) was spacious and private. The bathroom was great and had a good shower! Food was good with plenty of options, albeit paying a resort premium, it’s still very reasonably priced and they made great cocktails! The spa menu was also good and is located by the river which is so nice to listen to while getting a massage. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. It’s out of the hustle and bustle of Ubud which is our preference and was about a 15 min scoot or 30ish min drive depending on traffic. Close to Cretya pool club and waterfalls which was great. Would stay again!

The resort is built into the side of a valley so it’s all stairs and after hiking up Mt Batur one morning the stairs were particularly exhausting haha. Not actually a huge issue for us but sometimes we wished there was an escalator!

Absoliutelly amazing hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nature was magnificent. Villa was really big, clean and quite. We heard only the river and birds. This hotel have a lot of activities. We really liked yoga. Breakfast was really good and the food in the restaurant was tasty too. Each hotel area smelled very good also the room. Hotel is a little bit away from the Ubud centre, but for us it was an advantage. Hotel has a free drop off to city center. This hotel is for those, who love nature.

We checked out this morning.. Beautiful hotel in a stunning surrounding! You really feel like your in the jungle. The staff are exceptional and made our trip so easy from arranging taxis to helping with luggage or preparing breakfast to go as we had lots of early starts. Yes we could of saved money here and there by arranging our own taxis/guide/food but honestly the staff just made everything so easy which allowed us to just relax while they made the arrangements. The noises from the jungle were magical!!! The villas are HUGE, you really do feel like your in your own little world. I wish we could of stayed longer!

The drive into Ubud centre by taxi takes around 30mins. Not much accessible near by BUT if your looking for your own little sanctuary this we would 100% recommend! We were in VILLA Bima 1 and the walk up/down the steps is exhausting but honestly just ask for help with luggage ect! I hope to return here one day.

Tranquil villas set in lush jungle in the Ubud hills. We hired one of the 3 bed villas and had our own private pool with jungle views. It is so peaceful here and there are walks through paddy fields at the back of the hotel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They will book taxis into Ubud and arrange other trips. We also did the Balinese cooking class which was great fun.

Very little. There were stains on some of the furnishings, curtains etc but it didn’t distract from a fabulous stay. Be aware that the property is a 25min cab ride from Ubud but I found it great to get away from the hustle of Ubud.

Alam Ubud is a beautiful villa resort in an idyllic location, perfect for those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of central Ubud. The property is spectacular, nestled into the side of a gorge overlooking the jungle. The staff were very warm and friendly and made our time here very enjoyable. Bali in general is very baby and child friendly and the staff were great with our 9 month old. The infinity pool is a real highlight of the property, with amazing views of the jungle. We also really loved our jungle view villa which had some of the best views from the property and was incredibly spacious. The breakfasts were great and we loved the accompanying live music. I also highly recommend the massages! I would happily stay here again.

The in-house restaurant had limited food options and the resort's slightly remote location meant outside food options were also somewhat limited.

The jungle scenery is beautiful and tranquil - the photos do not do it justice! Trust me, you'll be grateful to be away from the chaos of central Ubud and relaxing here. At breakfast each morning there was a musician playing bamboo flute music, it was amazing. Short walk to Manuaba waterfall was great - don't bother paying for a guide, it's only a short walk!

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable but strongly scented with something like jasmine- we didn't really like this. The food and drink prices are expensive in the hotel - there is a fantastic and cheap warung a short walk away. Service in the hotel bar is very slow - expect a 30min wait for drinks.
