It was incredibly clean and very comfortable. Although I was travelling alone, I felt very safe. It’s also in a convenient location, close to pubs, cafes, eateries and supermarkets with the amenities I needed. The breakfast spread was also delish and generous. Dick, the host, though a man of few words, was very helpful and welcoming. I was unaware that he lived in the same premises. Assuming I was the only tenant in the building, I took my liberties with the volume of the TV, which must’ve caused quite a disturbance - my apologies Dick! But not once did he complain or knock on my door to soften the volume. Very gracious of him.

Our stay was excellent. The room was very clean and had a good-sized en-suite bathroom either s large shower enclosure. There was a good-sized Tv and a comfortable king-size bed. The room also had two comfortable chairs. It wasn't the biggest room, but given the price, it was excellent value. Bill was a good host. You get a flask of milk for your room on arrival, and there was a generous selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The full cooked breakfast was really good. Excellent ingredients and really well cooked. There were plenty of cereals and juices. The B&B is a shirt walk away from the centre of tien. Overall, it was excellent value for money.

Motorcycle touring. Dick has the place really well set up with covered and motion sensor lit parking and big ground anchors. Cannot recommend enough - clearly has asked "What would bikers like"? The location in Rhyader is slap bang in the centre of Wales and it's perfect roads. The Town has lots of places to eat and drink well (but don't bother with the Elan Hotel unless you have to). The breakfast is pretty much anything you could want and is prepared on order. No aged fried eggs here. The house and bedrooms are spotless clean and the bed comfy.

Nothing really. It was all as good as I could want. Not a "didn't like" but I asked if there might be anywhere to dry clothing, like a boiler room, but Dick said he didn't really have anywhere suitable. So I just hung dripping waterproofs under the bike shed and they were fine.

Location was nothing special but the property was very good. Views from the property across the hills were good. Breakfast was superb. Our host was fantastic (a little on the shy side but maybe he just wanted to be unobtrusive). He thought of all the little things and presented a very professional and comfortable guest house. The property is a short drive from the village centre with lots of restaurants and pubs. Parking is plentiful on the street outside the house. Everything was spotlessly clean - thank you.

The location was perfect for us to use it as a base to explore the local area, with a short 5-minute walk into town to savour the local eating places, which were excellent. We are also allowed to bring a takeaway back to the house and use their plates/utensils, just leaving them on the table for Dick to clear up after us. Just part of the level of service you can expect. A very friendly host, who cannot do enough to make your stay the best it can be. One of the best breakfasts I have had in a B&B, and a beautiful view from the bedroom window. Could not ask for more. Handy for the Gigrin Red Kite feeding farm, visible from the B&B.

There was nothing to not like about the property.

The location was great for access into town and the parking was easy straight outside the property. We had a lovely king size room with fabulous views. The room was ideal with a very comfortable bed and a big shower. Dick was there to meet us and showed us to our room, also we were given fresh milk in a cold thermos bonus. The breakfast was cooked fresh for us and was very tasty. Definitely recommend a stay and definitely value for money. Thank you Dick.

If I could give this place and Dick 12 out of 10, I would. All the small things, attention to detail absolutely incredible. A cooked breakfast that I can only describe as perfection, a friendly but not overbearing host, everything was geared towards giving someone a memorable experience.

The fact we had to leave after only one night.

Great location with stunning views from our room. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order with great quality ingredients Warm welcome from host, who offered recommendations on places to eat and the need to book in advance. Glad we did, as pub was very busy. On road parking, no problem on this quiet area of town

Steep access to front of property. Not a problem for use, but less agile would struggle

The property is ideally located within walking distance of the town so eating out and visiting the Elan Valley was very easy. Even meant we could have a few drinks on the local pubs and stroll home. Dick, the proprietor is very friendly and helps with any requests you may have. The breakfasts are delicious and the best I've had at a B&B. Our room was the jacuzzi room and nice and spacious with shower and jacuzzi bath. We brought our dog with us and she was made to feel very welcome. Lots of good walks in the area and the Elan Valley and the dams are outstanding. We shall return, hopefully soon.

Great location, just a short walk to shops, pus and the river. Short drive to Elan valley visitor centre. Parking was easy in the road outside. Nice early check in time. Dick was very helpful with places to eat. We would recommend The Triangle for food. We also ate in a couple of other pubs with typical pub menus and the food was good but nothing special. The room was lovely with a great shower room, comfy bed and views from the window across the hills watching the red kites. I would have preferred the room made up every day though. Breakfast was at a time to suit and cooked to order. It was one of the best B&B breakfasts we've had for ages. The bacon is great quality as were the eggs. Dick is a great cook!
