It's a lovely old townhouse with a beautiful interior. The rooms are very spacious and the bed is amazing. I loved the furniture and the art. Breakfast is to be ordered a la carte and is delicious. I was there during winter, otherwise I would definitely have taken breakfast in the garden every morning. The hotel is located is a very nice neighbourhood with plenty of artsy/ design/ pop-up shops and the touristic centre is also very close by.

Yes, it is an old building, so you can hear it when the neighbours are getting home, but I didn't mind. Personally I'm not a fan of showering in the bathtub, but again, it was a beautiful bathtub..

The design and location of Rosa et Al is its selling point. Staff were as attentive to my needs as they could be given a stressful situation with the door knob and I am grateful for that. The wifi wasn’t fully working when I was there (I should have spoken up about this). The water temperature in the shower was cold so when I wanted to take a bath it was cold and I had to transfer water from the sink to the bathtub. Not relaxing! (I told staff about this privately.) My recommendation is for staff to send a video on how to turn the doorknob though it is pretty simple and for a direct Humber to get in contact for self check in past midnight for future guests to avoid stressful situations.bi would also number the rooms to make it easier for guests to find their rooms. Little things that do make a big difference.

The townhouse was just beautiful, lovely decor, great vibes, felt homely and not sanitised like a hotel usually is. The garden out back was the perfect spot for a moment to yourself. The room itself was HUGE, so spacious and like a whole apartment in itself. Super comfy bed and great bathroom amenities.

My only tiny critique would be the level of noise from the road in front, but with the townhouse retaining so much of its original features, it isn’t too surprising that this is the case and a small price to pay for how beautiful the room and location was.

Our Garden Room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. Beautiful design with high ceilings and the outdoor shower was a great feature. The food was delicious, especially the smoothie with melon and mixed mushroom omelettes. The staff could not have been more friendly, welcoming, and helpful.

It was a shame that the included breakfast was a capped amount (15€ per person) and anything above this was charged as an extra. This detail could be made clear at the time of booking as due to the a la carte menu prices it is easy to exceed the included allowance. Also sometimes the toilet had to be flushed several times after a single use.

Our room was at the back of the hotel on the top floor and was beautifully decorated. The hotel was quiet and relaxing which is always appreciated in a city. The outdoor space was pretty and secluded. We had lunch and drinks on arrival and these were very nice and reasonably priced. The location within Porto is great - it’s a nice walk into the historic centre and there are plenty of nice places for breakfast nearby if you don’t have it at the hotel like us.

The electronic door locks kept breaking and locking us out of the room. As we were staying on the top floor (up 3 flights of steep stairs) and there was no way to ask for help otherwise, we had to keep going downstairs to ask in person at the front desk. It would be simpler to use a keycard or even a normal key. The hotel is also on a narrow one way street so taxis can struggle to stop (just a note for future travellers!).

Rosa Et Al is a unique accommodation with alot of care and attention made to creating a warm, restful atmosphere. Carefully curated decorative, menu and garden details created a unique and inviting space. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming and happily provided us with answers to our many questions. Also the food and beverage was wonderful!

The only thing I would let other people know is that while our apartment did have a bathroom, it was not separate (private) from the rest of the room although there was a large shelving unit serving as a privacy screen. That could be an issue for some. As well, although it wasn't a problem for us, we were upstairs (8 flights) with heavy luggage (staff helped us carry it up but we managed ourselves going down), it could be an issue for someone with mobility issues as there is no elevator. Otherwise it was absolutely lovely.

The room was lovely, and all facilities were excellent. The breakfast was very good quality with good choice. All the staff were very pleasant. The location was quite convenient for the historic centre.

Some electrical sockets in the room didn't work. Breakfast was only available from 8:30, and on some days 8:00 would have been convenient.

The team at Rosa et Al are exceptionally warm and friendly and so helpful. Our room (delux suite with garden view) was stylish and very comfortable. I loved the decor and mid-century pieces. Our balcony was a suntrap in the evening, and the beautiful garden was a pleasure to sit in during breakfast, or whilst having a cocktail in the late afternoon. The breakfast is outstanding, and the guys take great pride in their coffee. We opted for a couples' massage on arrival. Thelma and Paul were incredible, they came to our room and worked out all the knots as we had spent a week hiking in Maderia, setting us up for our weekend in Porto. I highly recommend Rosa et Al and will stay here on my next trip to the city.

Beautiful old building, very tastefully decorated, very spacious bedroom. Nice balcony & outdoor garden space. Huge comfortable bed & beautiful bathroom. Unique with lovely food shop at front of building & breakfast space to the rear. Would love to return again

The only very minor dislike was very squeaky floorboards! But you can’t expect anything different in such an old unique building & it didn’t spoil our stay.

The room does not have a private bathroom; specifically, the toilet is in a shared space. I failed to notice this detail in the room description, which is my fault. Although breakfast was included, but we had to pay an additional charge of 12 euros because the cost exceeded the hotel's budget per person (15 euro).
