The location was great, very central to many sites and activities. The breakfast was also great, we did not expect the level of presentation and food items that were provided for the breakfast. Complimentary afternoon tea/coffee with biscuits and cakes are served in the afternoon, we found that to be quite refreshing after a long day out in the city.

Being so central also comes with its downside of noise pollution, however that was expected. Our room overlooked the street but we were able to get a good night's sleep with the air conditioner on.

Clean, comfy, quiet and safe while close to most attractions. The staff members are kind and helpful. Our stay included breakfast with a good variety of food. You can also ask them to cook for you. They altered the menu slightly every day. There is a lift tram nearby in operation. It makes such a picturesque scene! Many people come to take photos. The other fun thing is 3 blocks away in the Comoes plaza, there appears to have street performers every night. The three we watched were all amazing. The whole crowd sang and danced around them.

Loved everything about this wonderful hotel: We reserved the superior twin room (room 202)& it was beautiful, immaculately clean. Especially loved the spacious bathroom! Location couldn't have been better, smack dab in the middle of the historical center, which was walking distance to shops, restaurants, attractions, etc. It is in the middle of a somewhat steep cobblestone hill but it was a short hill so we had no problem lugging our luggage. Advisable though 1st time to maybe take a taxi because they can deliver you right at the front door. The free breakfast was unbelievable with meats, cheeses, yogurt, breakfast, pastries, coffee, juice, eggs (You can ask staff to cook up some hot scrambled eggs, which were delicious). 5 PM delicious cakes, tea, and coffee too! What made this hotel unforgettable in its customer service was the young gentlemen staff named Ian & his boss! Unbeknown to us our checkout date was Lisbon Day which is the biggest holiday and our hotel was on a street which was party central so no taxi would pick us up to take us to the airport so it looked like we were stuck. Bus/train was severely limited due to the holiday. Ian called his boss who gave him permission to close the hotel down early so that Ian could navigate us hapless tourists through the thousands of partygoers in the streets, helping us lug our bags, to a place where we were able to get transportation to the Airport. Ian & his boss went beyond all expectations and for that reason alone, I would stay there again just for their caring and amazing customer service! Thank you, Ian!

Nothing. Everything was perfect!

our room was a large twin room with a desk and 2 very comfy twin beds. the bathroom was very large with a large shower. Lots of hot water. large mirror. The outside =noise is audible but that is no fault of the hotel. Lisbon is a vibrant city even at night. The continental breakfast was very good. A perfect start to the day with freshly baked croissants and bread, hardboiled eggs, 2-3 types of cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt with quite a few toppings, very good coffee and tea. just the perfect amount of food. The breakfast cook with glasses ( i feel bad i didn't get her name)was a sweetheart also. Very friendly and welcoming. The location was also perfect. Easy walk to anywhere! Pedro and the other 2 front desk people were super friendly, knowledgeable and quick to assist if we had a question on where to eat, which train, etc...? Will definitely send friends and family to this hotel.

truly we liked everything, which is rare in this day and age.

Great location and very comfortable hotel. Close to several trams as well as the Metro. It took us awhile to get our bearings, but once we figured out the public transport system, it was awesome. The staff was great and all spoke English. They were all super welcoming, accommodating and friendly. We arrived before check in time and we were able to leave our bags to start exploring. They offer coffee, tea and a snack 24/7, which was a very nice touch. Very clean and does feel like home- their motto. I would highly recommend this place.

The breakfast served is very nice with fresh fruit, yogurt and lots of toppings. Many fresh baked goods, meats and cheeses. Although all of it was great, my only comment or suggestion would be to have more of a variety each day. We stayed at the hotel 3 nights and basically had the same breakfast all three mornings. It would have been nice to have one or two things different. Also having a toaster available would have been a plus.

Nicely designed, modern, clean and spacious room with a mini balcony. The breakfast was very good with fresh pastries and some variation throughout our 4-night stay. The location is simply perfect. The hotel is on a quiet little side street with almost no traffic but still right in the heart of Lisbon. The famous Bica Funicular is only a few meters away. Countless bars, restaurants and sights are in walking distance. The reception staff was also very nice and helpful! :)

No fridge - would be a welcome addition as there is plenty of space in the room.

Bica FLH was an excellent choice for a group of friends to enjoy a city break in beautiful Lisbon. From start to finish the communication and service was excellent. The hotel is small but perfectly formed. Clean and stylish inside with well furnished rooms. The staff were lovely and there were lots of small touches that made you feel welcome, like complimentary chocolates and freshly baked cakes being served daily. It really did feel like "a home from home" We loved our stay and would return anytime. Thank you.

Absolutely nothing!

A fantastic twin room with a view to the small terrace. Immaculate and very well equipped. Super comfy beds. The breakfast, included in the price, was delicious. So much choice. Friendly and attentive staff who went the extra mile to sort out minor issues, such as us not being able to work the coffee machine, and finding us a bottle opener! The hotel is small and as such has a boutique feel about it. All day coffee and cakes on offer was a bonus! The location, just a short walk from the metro was a definite plus. All in all a brilliant place to stay on a trip to Lisbon. Highly recommended!

The outdoor terrace, whilst clean, was looking just a bit tired and could do with a general spruce up. The decking could do with a clean and a worn umbrella looked a bit unsightly. Having said this, we did use the terrace most days for a late afternoon coffee and a read.

Location to the metro was only a short walk, there were many bars and restaurants close by as well as a good shopping centre and a number of boutique clothing shops. We stumbled upon a beautiful viewing point over Lisbon within a short walk and the no 28 tram runs close by which gives you a great opportunity to view some great sights, you need to take advantage of the local transport ticket scheme which allows you access to the trams, trains and bus system whilst in Lisbon.

We were at the front of this building and although it has been upgraded with modern fixtures in recent years the window system did allow some noise into the room at night the building is located in a quiet part of town and this did bother myself and my wife but it might for some.

The staff were the highlight of Bica FLH. In addition to their warm welcome and general helpfulness and charm, they gave outstanding recommendations for dinner spots and even made reservations. They allowed us to leave extra baggage in their storage area while we were on our bike ride. The breakfast was nice and additionally, teas, coffee, and snacks are available 24hrs a day. The rooms were comfortable. Some rooms are louder than others due to street noise (mostly late night people) but earplugs are provided.
