The location is really good. its a quiet street but close to everything. SO you won't hear anything outside really. It was well lit, and plenty of people around. Has a restaurant. The room i had i think was a king bed, was really big. i liked the small balcony. the bathroom was fine too. The cabinet for clothes and frig it really nice size. Nice front desk help. Clean room and bathrooms.

It could use more hooks to hang coats up. Please add conditioner for hair. I think a small desk would be nice but not sure how....maybe a corner. Or perhaps just another type of shelf near the coffee etc. The breakfast in my opinion isn't worth it. So many great places in the area. Maybe try it for one day and then decide. The eggs were almost cold and it felt put off by asking for another type of coffee...You should be able to get any type.

Once you have sorted your hotels for price and location, the next thing you want is cleanliness and friendliness, Hotel Lis Baixa scores high there, so stop your search. The rooms are a little smaller but adequate. You're close to tourists spots, grocery, coffee, wine (find Alberto's one block south for a great wine tasting), food, and transportation so very convenient. The windows are great! Close them and the street noise disappears. They have blackout shutters so you can sleep deeply. Open them and look out on the streets. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Carpet was a little tired and worn.

First and foremost…the best thing about this hotel is the staff... from housekeeping to reception... thank you so much! We were warmly welcomed, and the reception is not just a front desk; it’s like a full-service travel agency. No question goes unanswered, with countless suggestions on what to do in Lisbon, tickets available for many attractions, and maps of the city… it couldn’t be better. The hotel’s location is ideal, allowing you to walk to many places directly. Bars, restaurants, and sights are all within walking distance. We had a lovely room with a spacious bathroom, very clean and comfortable, plus fast internet. What more could you want? The hotel also has a restaurant with a good breakfast. Lisbon is beautiful, and we’d gladly come back and definitely book this hotel again. Many thanks to the “Hotel Lis - Baixa Team.”

A few more seats in the restaurant would be nice.

Hotel staff, especially Ines at front desk, were all terrific! The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was excellent, and towels were changed every day routinely without asking. Robes and slippers were provided, a very nice amenity. There was a kettle and tea/coffee, and a complimentary bottle of water provided, that we really appreciated. We had a room with a small balcony and really liked opening the french doors for air and light in the morning. The noise level was not too bad as it is not on a busy street. The daily breakfast was very good, with many selections and really good coffee. Cappuccinos made on request. Daniella served us on a few occasions, and we found her to be delightful. The hotel location is excellent. Convenient to Rossio Square, and Praca Figueira where you can board city busses and tour busses. Overall, a beautiful hotel in the heart of Lisbon. It exceeded our expectations.

everything was great

Room was excellent as was the location and since the staff was so personable and pleasant, they helped us by recommending places of interest and historical to visit. Restaurant attached to the hotel had an excellent daily buffet breakfast.

Nothing, really

Location

My wife just had a regular coffee and we were charged for the full breakfast rate. This was the only problem we encountered with the stay. 12 euro for a cup of coffee?

Charming room just as described on corner of building overlooking the street with balcony and opening shutters. Reception staff were welcoming with a smile. First floof but little noise as windows double glazed and street went quiet overnight. Location was very good as a short stroll brought you to the centre of activity. Breakfast a buffet as was expected with a good choice.

Pillows brought my rating down. Owners went to some trouble to make a good hotel but fell down with the choice of pillows which were rubber chip and firm fill polyester...pillows from the 1970's. Hotel operators world wide shum these pillows because customers don't like them. They move and bounce the head and I woke grumpy and with a headache, Excellent pillows are readily available at a fair price so why put money towards bathrobes and not spend the extra on good pillows. When I complained to the reception staff showing them the welcome card from the manager I ashed that this person follow up by making contact with me. I heard nothing. What is the point of leaving a welcome card if the manager is nor prepared to respond to a complaint? Disappointing when everything else was very good.

Great location, within walking distance of most of the sights in Lisbon, plus close to the train station for a trip to Belem or Cascais. The room was small, but that is standard for these 18th century buildings, more than room enough for our stay. We had breakfast included, which was very nice - we did not eat in the restaurant but the food looked very nice.

Nothing - more than met expectations.

Amazing location! It was perfect because my boyfriend and I were mostly just showering and sleeping there, so we really didn't need that much space. The shower was also amazing with great water pressure and free toiletries. Beautiful bathroom and great windows/natural light.

Small room. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom - when we opened the bedroom door it basically hit the bed, and my suitcase (which isn't even that large) could actually not even fit on the floor of the room unless it was closed. Just be prepared to not have a ton of space!
